How much is it going cost to replace those tires and how many miles can get on them? And you will have to buy them Tesla. Musk is brilliant in how he can market poorly constructed vehicles.
Man, some of those are really dramatic. Get those things off before a tire blows on you. They should never have added those caps. Hope you get new tires from them.
So, first we saw you can't drive in the snow with this truck, then you can't let it get dirty, and I just came from another video talking about the trucks are developing rust spots already. And now they are going to recall the tires / wheels 😂
when are we gonna just call gg, and get on with life. It was a good Troll Elon. Now you are just playing with people's money and acting like we are all stupid
Maaaybe but we use it as a work truck at the moment so i don't want to risk breaking something and being without it for months waiting on parts 😬 - also, still no locking diff's enabled yet so seems almost pointless currently
Good info. I wonder if they will have the option of using the smaller covers that have been seen on some photos. I actually prefer the look of the smaller covers, but I know most people that would want the covers like the bigger ones.
We are waiting for an answer - service called me after i submitted the request and said they haven't seen this yet and will need to investigate further
That’s a lot of wear for only 1k. Definitely will wear through the rubber and leak but probably not blow because of the plys inside. I’d cut that rubber back so you still get the airflow efficiently they were designed for. Then wait for them to send a new designed one. I’m sure Tesla sent Goodyear the specs and you can’t avoid sidewall bulge. Not their fault. Poor design from Tesla as usual. Also, sidewall leaks cannot be repaired. I’ve seen this problem on many other videos.
You put 1K miles on your CyberTruck?!? Why are you driving it like a daily ride? It's a status symbol. Bring it out on sunny days once or twice a month and tow it to car rallies. Keep it in mint condition for a hefty resale.
You do realize it's a truck not just a status symbol maybe people actually want to use it as a truck also Tesla have threatened to sue people who resell
Yeah, great advise. A truck that can't tow long distances, develops surface rust spots, is difficult to clean, the tire walls wear, but it would make a great "status symbol" What will it say about the owner? That they are gullible idiots, with more money than sense?
Those hubcaps look terrible for only having 1000 miles on them. Also kinda sucks you MUST get a very specific tire for that truck. You can't switch brands because of that hubcap. You have to get the ONE tire made specifically for that truck. Just guessing, but I think that's going to get costly when you can't shop around by size and you have no choice and the manufacture only makes so many of that specific tire.
It is a big deal, and it could wear through. Even if it doesnt, remember the cyberjunk weighs almost 7,000 pounds. Put a lot of weight in the back, and tow something heavy, now you have a lot of pressure on the those tires. Not good.
it is a huge deal. while it will not wear through the sidewall, as it has steel cables running throughout the side wall, the tire is designed as a layered package, like fiberglass (bad analogy, I know). So, as the rubber gets removed it will weaken the overall tire and make it prone to bubbles, which are a known safety concern. Especially with the weight of this "truck".
You don't see a big deal which just shows you're completely clueless. A 7000lb AWD vehicle is putting massive strain on those tires. Structural integrity is a "big deal" and those are going to become dangerous after 2000 miles.
sure, nevermind the fact it weighs nearly 7,000 pounds. would you want to be towing something heavy with worn in grooves on your tires going down the freeway? I wouldn't.
@velocityacoustics u realize there are grooves or outside of tires right?...like the lettering and designs...the grooves aren't deep enough to affect it structurally from what I observed
@@KingJet-m4z Those designs were engineered into the tire. The wear and damage the covers are creating were not. do you want to take your chances? The problem is that this is happening after very few miles. There will be many people out there that won't know about this problem and keep driving a lot of miles. An accident waiting to happen if Tesla doesnt jump on this problem right away. The sidewall of a tire is one of the most ciritical parts of a vehicle.

Wow how did they overlook this, didn't they drive it for at least 1000 miles?
No, why would they?
Isn’t Elon an engineering genius?
Thank you for being a guinea pig for us and Tesla. 😊
It can only improve from here!

How did the man who knows more about manufacturing that anyone on the planet let this one get through ?!
Mr free speech absolutist?
Yea but it's bullet proof 😅
broken windows, accelerator pedal comes off, tires destroy themselve…
seems like a great *100k+ Investment* to me 😅

This is the first time, to my knowledge, that wheel covers have gone over the tire, not just the wheel. Apparently, for good reason.
A complete waste of wallet.

It's only a 100K vehicle, what are you complaining about, are you expecting perfection? How's the body rust issue on your truck.
It has done 1k not 100k.
@@jonbraid2520 The price.

At least the Tires are not RUSTING......!!!!
Well, Tesla didn't make the the tires.
Just wait!
Tesla stainless steel tires are coming.
that's am amazing oversight/snafu for a company like Tesla...
Stupid pointless design another reason not to buy. Dread to think how much the tyres cost too!
Yeah that's why they aren't putting them on new deliveries now

As long as they stop digging into the tires I'll be happy! If these just didn't have the little rubber nubs at the end they would work fine
@cybertruck70 Can the rubber nubs be removed?
Any word from tesla about how what theyll do for you? New tires?

My friend, can you tell me how to contact the main Tesla company?
Crazy, who would have thought really
Anyone with a bit of common sense? 😅
this car is so bad designed...its a disgrace
This disgrace of a car will be Tesla's undoing.
OMG
I saw the problem without watching the video
They will only tell u to bring it in when tires are flat
Then they'll tell you they are only flat on the bottom
Canceled my CT, tired of the shitty builds. Getting a Gravity.
Ok?
Koo. My reservation will move up 😂🤡

Horrifying! 😮
This guy always tried to reinvent the wheel. With every car, he pullout for no reason 😒
Tesla should replace your tires for free
Looks like the Goodyear tire corporation ……..having some problems there.

I need to find the video, one of the CyberTruck owners was honest, these trucks are for status (to make a statement) , not functionality
