Nuffield tractor is one of my favourite tractor .I'm Edwar.B.barakat from Syria .we have the BMCmodels of the years 1954.........to1968. They are all still working until now.
Had a Universal with Kero & Petrol on my families Orchard in Victoria Australia when i was a kid. Always remember it was fast, raced my mates with jds & fergies. Could not beat the 9g Chamberlain. Love the Hot Chocolate Disco tune.
My father was a tractor dealer in the southeast of Ireland, he traded in a Nuffield tractor in the early 1990;s i think it was a 10/60 , he discovered that the tractor was a test built tractor prototype, as none of the parts supplied by Mahon Mc Philips would fit. The tractor was exported to Ireland by a scrap merchant from England in the 1970's he discovered. Unfortunately the tractor was sold as scrap collected by Cork Metal and melted down.
hi , I just got hold of a Leyland 401 engine came out of a factory it was a stationary unit to power a sprinkler system , only 178 recorded hours we are hoping to put it in to eather a 262 Leyland or a Nuffield 1060 dose anyone know of a 401 that has been used in such a way ? and was it an easy conversion ? love your tractor by the way , cheers chris dodding
I´m a bit curious about those 8-bolt rear hubs,´cos I´ve thought that 3cyl models have 8bolt hubs and 4cyl have 6-bolt. Thou I have myself a six cylinder Nuffield, with 8-bolt hubs, but it looks like it has been scraped together in junkyard from a pile of Nuffield-parts,
Dear Nuffield owner. My name is Fürst Hermann from Mattsee, near Salzburg and I have a Nuffield 2rd. 6 cylinder tractor bought in Italy. This tractor has been restored and is now ready for operation. Unfortunately, even after several prompts, I did not get any registration papers from the seller so I would have a big request as to whether it is possible to make a copy of yours Or the data, weight, speed, tires, etc. I thank you very much for your effort. Greetings from Mattsee. Fürst Hermann.
Nuffield never made any 6 cylinder tractors. This is a conversion where the chassis was stretched and engine fitted. The number ’690’ is completely made up using the logic of its original number ‘460’ (4 cylinder, 60hp), 690 = 6 cylinder 90hp
Great job. Loved it. Hot Chocolate was great too 👍.
Well done beautifull tractor keep it rolling.

Looking good savage job done on her their horse
Which was the better tractor the Nuffield or a Fordson Power Major?
Both outstanding tractors. The Fordson clutch is stronger but the Nuffield will get more power to the ground
Good job, I'm about to buy a Nuffield '6' 90! Don't think I'll go for such huge wheels but quite like the 'sissy' bar on the seat!
How was the tractor engine block painted ? Was it sprayed ?
Me and my brother bought an old Nuffield 342 that we gonna restore.
What about you mean. If you consider the working with this tractor. Could it the power transmission take?
Raippa Kellari no problems !
nice job ypu have done there 5*.
5.1 or 5.7 engine?
The BMC is no longer in existence so where do you find the parts or the engine to work on the tractor?
Nice job
Do u mind me asking how much was it to get those rims made?.. Serious tractor by the way
was it originally manufactured like that or did you extend it to take the 6 cylinder engine ?
jon carver they never made a 6 cylinder from the factory, it was converted

I always thought the Nuffield 690 had a Perkins six cylinder engine.?
