Farmer Phils channel is in a league of its own. Better than any tv program and you'd never get sick of listening to that genius speaking about his pride and joys! Great stuff as always lads.
First tractor I ever drove, carting small bale hay across the farm I now own. I was nine and had to stand up to steer it, once I got it in gear... it had little or no clutch, and non existent breaks. Happy days 😄
She's a fine example of a hard to get yoke these days! Like how the toolbox has somehow survived all these years, typically one of the 1st items to fall assunder or come off on older tractors!!
Drove a 1060 years back lads...ll only for a summer at reseeding ..... sweetest god for her size with a tine harrow breaking fresh sod could she go..! Used to laugh out loud in the dark when she'd send sparks up the exhaust pipe while rolling ! Father Phil is one hell of a encyclopedia on tractors for sure !
We just love your Farther he's so loveable you take your time .We love watching you Phil as well and family 💚💚 keep safe .God Bless peace to you all .🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔
Great 👍 video farmer 👩🌾 Phil father Phil noise his vintage tractors 🚜 thanks 🙏 for the video over the year have a merry Christmas and a happy new year 🥳 keep the family safe 👍👍👩🌾👩🌾🏴🏴🙏🚜🚜😷😷🇬🇧🇬🇧
They seem to have fond memories for a lot of people, my own father owned one and I'll always remember it running and working it. Certainly a tractor that made an impression , very interesting to hear this man's knowledge .
I agree with Father Phil. There is something of the old Nuffields. They are not known for being reliable and comfortable, but there is a lot of Nuffield fans :)
Smashing video! I only got a love of Nuffields from my outlaws below in Gorey - chances are my father in law knows the man that Derek bought the two tractors off. If you’re ever on the lookout for parts and the likes, I’m sure I could put your Dad and my in-laws in contact. Have driven a 460 and a 1060 on road runs - nothing better for the job on a fine summers day.
Not first this time....I'm 100th!! Very interesting video. It wud be brilliant if d previous owner got to see this video. Over 33.000 subs now Phil 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I remember a neighbor had a Nuffield and was turning hay Exhaust used to fire out an odd spark and when he looked back it was after lighting hay lucky enough to extinguish it must be forty years ago
The nuffield were a lovely tractor as a kid I used to roll all the silage ground and backed up silage when I was in primary school ours was a 1962 1060 no cab
That’s an original Wexford Reg for the era probably not an import the main dealer was in Newtown Barry which had its name changed to Bunclody. My first tractor was a universal 3 which was brilliant because it had category 2 size rear lift handy for large implements
Jeez I'd rather hear about the Nuffield than a lot of tractors. They were considered the Rools Royce of tractors in their day. Called after the village that that Morris or Morris Minor and all that went before. They moved the factory from Birmingham to Scotland and the quality dipped down a lot then they were eventually gobbled up as their sales struggled after the poor reliability. Think the brand went Nuffield - Leyland - Marshall.
Nothing to do with nuffield universal they were made in UK universal were Romanian cheap knock off fiat's but not a bad tractor for the money getting quite collectable now
I have come across a Nuffield 10/42 with a BMC engine but the owner said the block was cracked. I would like to take it on as a restoration project but only if I could find a block. Can Fr Phil point me in the right direction. Serial number on block 42B/3/2313/- 80959
sorry for not having a video on our latest purchase but all going well ill have it for Christmas eve
Do not worry man brings back memories the old Nuffield, my father had one, still has the wreck of it parked in a shed. lol.

Father phil should have his own tv program.
First tractor I ever drove, carting small bale hay across the farm I now own. I was nine and had to stand up to steer it, once I got it in gear... it had little or no clutch, and non existent breaks. Happy days 😄

Good to see a Nuffield getting some attention
She's a fine example of a hard to get yoke these days! Like how the toolbox has somehow survived all these years, typically one of the 1st items to fall assunder or come off on older tractors!!

Where is your gas mask. Father phill Is always pleasure to watch his knowledge is a pleasure to watch his skill is awesome
Have a feeling the Nuffields were made in or near Birmingham, the Leylands were made in Bathgate near Edinburgh
We just love your Farther he's so loveable you take your time .We love watching you Phil as well and family 💚💚 keep safe .God Bless peace to you all .🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔
Father Phil is a legend !!

It’s lovely to listen to father Phil talk
Loving the vintage Thursdays
Love the vintage Thursdays!!
Would ye consider doing a Q&A evening on vintage 🤠
Never knew some Nuffields had a Perkins P4. Only saw it's bigger cousin P6 in Fordson E27Ns of the same vintage, late '40s/early '50s.
Great 👍 video farmer 👩🌾 Phil father Phil noise his vintage tractors 🚜 thanks 🙏 for the video over the year have a merry Christmas and a happy new year 🥳 keep the family safe 👍👍👩🌾👩🌾🏴🏴🙏🚜🚜😷😷🇬🇧🇬🇧

I think if I remember right Nuffields were made in Birmingham, England before they moved to Bathgate, Scotland
Very interesting your father has a wealth of knowledge definitely learn a thing or 2 from him

Love vintage Thursday nutfield first tractor I drove on my own 🚜🇮🇪☘️
Great looking machine
I remember a neighbor had a Nuffield and was turning hay Exhaust used to fire out an odd spark and when he looked back it was after lighting hay lucky enough to extinguish it must be forty years ago
Same with a friend of yours, his Nuffield would blow out a few sparks if he revved it up hard. Looked great at night time!
Nuffield 10 60 very fast on the road.happy days with no cab.cheers from wet north 🏴 wales 👍
The nuffield were a lovely tractor as a kid I used to roll all the silage ground and backed up silage when I was in primary school ours was a 1962 1060 no cab
Yes same here caricatures like him are priceless
Clean tractor for her age love the vids keep up the good work.
That’s an original Wexford Reg for the era probably not an import the main dealer was in Newtown Barry which had its name changed to Bunclody. My first tractor was a universal 3 which was brilliant because it had category 2 size rear lift handy for large implements
She running well. father Phil knows his stuff
We had 2 Nuffields a universil and a 460
Father Phil is a legend 👌🏻
ENJOYED CANT GET BETTER THAN THE OLD TRACTOR
Derek. You are a fond of wisdom it's good to get your input on these videos. It would be good to combine you with your father in law.
Another Great video! Does father Phil know if the pickup hitch on the Nuffield is an A.R.M hitch.
Interesting question. There should be a nameplate riveted on it.
It is an ARM "Nuffield Hitch" it won't be original as they don't go back that far ,probably transplanted from a Leyland or later Nuffield.
Another very interesting video 👍
Great video. Enjoyed the whole thing. 👍
Great video lads looking foward to the next one 👍
That's a nice nuffield to have. Very unusual to have a foot throttle. Power steering and pick up hitch. Even the tool box is scarce.
would like to hear about the Massey combine next Thursday. anyone else with me ?
The Massey next 👍
Good one lad learned drive nut field 10,60👍
Another very interesting Video lads. Hope you will do one on the Fordson E27N
Vintage Thursdays, great videos!!🙌
Yes it’s a old tractor it’s looking. Well do you ever use it on the farm Phil
Smooth sound should call her Whiskey
Your new vintage tractor is a zetor crystal 8011
Great video, very tidy tractor and sounds great. Why is the steering wheel offset?
Hi Phil very interesting video would there any chance having a look at all vintage tractors. Nuffield 1060 were mithty for backing up silage.
Can u put up a link to ur neighbours tractor charity draw Phil....
Great vidoe as usuall
At the rate ye are buying more vintage tractors you wont ever run out of vintage Thursday videos
Pretty sure that tractor belonged to my family sometime in the 50s my uncle recognises the registration and he also sold it to a lad in eniscortey
Think they went M4 (tvo) ,P4, DM4/universal , 4/60, 10/60 and then 4/65
First big tractor I ever drove was a 1060 nutfeild ended up taking the engine and backend out of it and putting it into a384 layland
Just remembered I took the cab off it when it was scrap and put it on a Ferguson 20
More videos Phil
Farmer Phil where did Father feel by his note filled tractor in enniscorthy what it part of enniscorthy was it hot in the Thames land please
Would u ever do a video of the old track machine I’m sure that’s vintage now
What used u plough with at the matches Phil
a question for father phil how did he learn his mechanical skills. he seems to have been mechanically minded since the early age of 14/15
He probably had a set of spanners in his hand before he could walk
We had 1
How many tractors in total??
Any davy browns?
Is it a 20 the new tractor
Jeez I'd rather hear about the Nuffield than a lot of tractors. They were considered the Rools Royce of tractors in their day. Yes, the Marshall versions were in the early '80s and painted harvest gold yellow. Company went under in the mid '80s.
Layland tractors were made in Bathgate
Can you explain how he gave her the 24 bolts to get her going ? Be handy to know 😋
It was just 12 volt.
Sell all of the old stuff and make room to put newer equipment in the shed. Keep up!
I would tend to agree , I think father Phil’s time would be better spent getting the 6290 running again
Agreed
We have a universal 550 and I'm not shure if it is anything to do with the nutfield
I have two of them aswel. Great yoke
Nothing to do with nuffield universal they were made in UK universal were Romanian cheap knock off fiat's but not a bad tractor for the money getting quite collectable now
Your Nuffield is wexford registered
Did he cross the tractor with his 2 fingers at first ?
Dont think that would work and if it did, he would of got some shock
We have a three Nuffields ,check out the video on my channel of the our Nuffield universal 4 tractor all the best cheers
Tidy min
