  • sharper image, clearer sound, and a little bit longer than this video: • Charles Lloyd, Keith J...
This video was put together from 3 different sources. Unfortunately there are some two seconds in the beginning where all versions had a television commentator speaking.
    Source 1: tv.nrk.no/seri...
    Source 2: tv.nrk.no/seri...
Source 3: the bootleg source from my previous version

I did my best synchronizing audio with video, if somebody still sees that it's a couple of ms off, let me know so I can fix it.

Keith's playing is just astonishing on the first track, and he's only 21.....

Maybe the most beautiful piano solo of all time.

Wow- Historic stuff Saw him play during a thunderstorm in Central Park NYC 1973 and it did not bother him. The guitarist had sparks coming off his amp and refused yo play. The audience sat there getting soaked but the music was so good it didn;t matter.

This is my favorite group of all time. I prefer Cecil McBee over Ron McClure. More melodic. The rest of the quartet are all jazz immortals.

It could have been the weather; the cooler or colder air of Norway might have knocked the piano out of tune if it was in the Winter or Fall.

It is usually the second week of July. But July in western Norway can be very wet! I heard Charles Lloyd in Molde this year with Bill Frisell. Great concert!

In addition to being a very overrated jazzman, Lloyd is the other of totally stupid and laughable quotes such as this one: ''Women are as connected to music as women are to Africa. Women are all connected to the land and music is connected to the land. The drums come from Africa and have supernatural powers. Women and drums must be respected. I'm a shaman, I go out into nature, I talk to the trees and plants''....LOL!
