And got tore down drunk walking up and down the strip more than once lmao ! The 101st always treated us like brothers. I went to to 3 Hank concerts back in the 80's. He kicked ass !

I went out of town and when I came back the particular guitar was missing even though I had many others in better condition in the same room. Those were still there. I suppose the wear is what convinced whoever it was that is was Willie's guitar. Sad, but true.

Few things in life can match the experience of seeing Hank in person and unfiltered and wondering just wtf he is gonna say at any given moment......I have been a huge fan since I was a kid (and that's been a couple of damn years) I have all the love and respect in the world for this man and his music and I am so thankful he has inspired some of the younger guys and gals that are coming up to do things THEIR way!

I grew up about 30 miles south of where JR grew up. My grandfather knew Mr. Sheppard, JR'S grandfather. We went by his home place many times going to Columbus, GA. At the time I didn't think too much about it, but I do now. JR'S grandfather was a fine man.
