If anybody out there can’t understand how much Hank loved Waylon, all they have to do is watch this video!! Waylon taught Hank so much and Hank sr died when jr was so young, Waylon was like a second father and a best friend at the same time!! We should all be so lucky to have someone take us under their wing! If you’re a mechanic or a Grammy winning musician, it takes elders!!
Walyon, John, Merle, & George LOVED Hank Jr. Because he gave them respect.....and they all loved his Daddy who inspired them....for all of us born before TRUE Country lost it's foundation Waylon is THE BEDROCK just Like Hank Jr. is for so many.... Amen.
Waylon, along with Johnny Cash, and Toy Caldwell were the ones there for him after his accident on Ajax Peak so they're special to him.
Waylon was the reason a lot of us young people in the 70s went country but you can't think of Waylon without thinking of Willie.
Waylon brought him to muscle shoals Alabama in 77 and even played guitar on the new south album for Hank. Waylon helped Hank become bocephus. FACTS

I saw Hank 3 years ago. My cousin and his wife had mentioned wanting to see him and I paid up for 4 tickets. No nonsense top 40 stuff. All rocking. I don't know if it was worth the $1000 plus I spent, but Hank only does 25 shows a year and the bottle is running dry. Great show, at any price. He sat down and played some Jerry Lee Lewis on the piano. Saw him at his peak in the mid 80's. Great show, but he was playing the stuff you hear on the radio. Great music isn't for mass consumption.

I grew up listening to Bocephus as a kid. I have been listening to him for 40 years plus now. And he is by far my favorite country music legend hero. It amazes me how he can sing anything anywhere anytime with any instrument and sound perfectly every time. I guess that's why we call him Rockin Randall Hank Williams jr. It's also good to see Jamie Johnson sitting in on this one he's another great one keep it up guys we're still out there listening
