@@davideshun860 alright it depends on the purpose of your travel whether to visit/tour or to work/ stay/study. Either ways most of all the countries have their visa requirements so pls start reading about them on their websites. You need a passport first of all, then some funds as well. It takes some time to plan all this so please know when exactly you want to travel and work towards it. I hope this helps. Believe it will happen and it will. If it fails keep trying it will happen. You don’t need a passenger locator form when coming to Ghana if you’re a Ghanaian with Ghanaian passport.
What if am traveling through Portugal do I need a transit visa. Can you please explain how I would apply for the transit visa
Hi Rapheal you can apply through their immigration website but I’m not sure if you need a transit visa for Portugal

I'm a bit confused. How did you land in Amsterdam at night ? What time did you take off in Accra ? Or is it that you take off from Amsterdam to London at night ?
Late- afternoon: 3-6 p.m. Evening: 6-9 p.m. Late evening: 9-midnight. Late at night: Midnight-6 a.m.
We took off from Accra around 10pm we got to Amsterdam around 4am we took off from Amsterdam around 6am cos or flight was delayed.
@@mbjbeauty oooh so it was that dark at 4am ? When I went in the summer it was much brighter when we arrived in AMS in the morning. Interesting 😅 Love travel videos btw. Just saw your LDN-ACC in my recommendations. I'll watch that later as well.

Yes I did because of Brexit initially it wasn’t a requirement but now it is!

If you are using a Ghanaian passport I think you will need it. Pls check their website to confirm. Things keep changing so I’m not sure at the moment. But for us our transit visa was for a period and we travelled within that period. So we were able to go through Amsterdam in and out. Thanks for watching 💕

The first thing I think you need to consider is your purpose of visit. Every purpose has its procedure.

@@yasserbanse well I’m not an expert and everyone has their ‘good luck’ when it comes to visas. Obviously it’s easier to enter some countries than others depending on where you’re from. However basically, you need an invitation letter from your family abroad, proof of your relationship with them and financial status for both of you as well an intro letter from your current job and proof of your other sources of income. I’ll leave a link here for you to follow. Try to read through and follow all the requirements and I hope this helps. I wish you the best in your journey.

how can I book a transit visa
You have to book an appointment at the Netherlands office Behind Marina mall Accra. They’ll then give you the transit visa forms to fill and then submit which also comes with a fee. Then you’ll wait for the decision which will be posted to you through DHL when it’s ready.

Yes if you are traveling with a Ghanaian passport you will need a transit visa from Ghana to London via Amsterdam. The process of securing a transit visa is very stressful from waiting for appointment dates to apply for the visa to waiting on the visa itself to arrive and it’s costly too. Too much stress.
Schengen visa is different. You need a Schengen if you’ll be traveling to Amsterdam and other connected countries with that particular Schengen visa. Meaning you’ll be visiting more than one European country. UK however is not part of Schengen so you need a UK visa first before applying for the Schengen if you’re visiting those other countries as well. If you already have a Schengen visa with Amsterdam and a Uk visa, you don’t need to apply for transit visa to travel to the Uk through Amsterdam.

No you don’t need a transit visa if traveling through Qatar 🇶🇦 I haven’t used Qatar yet so I can’t advise much but I have used Emirates didn’t need a transit visa.

@@brukumebenezer1999 it depends on the type of visa you want but you can follow the guidelines on the UK website and make sure you provide all documents they state there needed to apply for your visa

you could have just taken BA to avoid a transit visa
It was too late for me. Couldn’t waste money cos refund from klm wasn’t forthcoming cos I booked through an agent. If I booked BA at that short notice it would have been too expensive for me then.
Hello. Please how long does it take to get an Amsterdam transit visa in Ghana?
It’s a cumbersome process and can take months if you don’t use express service especially if you need it urgently. I used express service and it took about a month more than I planned to travel.

Hi Jayden it depends on the service you want. Priority is more expensive compared to standard but it takes about 15 working days to process. Also you need to pay to book for the submission date after you fill the forms online, before you pay for the transit visa proper. It’s like applying for a normal visa 😅 so pls visit the Netherlands site for more info on prices. I can’t remember exactly how much we paid. Thanks for watching.

We booked the ticket in 2020 and couldn’t fly because of the pandemic however the airline couldn’t refund because we booked through an agent (agent couldn’t also refund and it was an up and down affair between the agent and the airline…a big lesson learnt_things would have been easier had we booked directly with the airline). Thus the ticket was put on retention for a year. We tried several times to get a refund but it never happened and we decided to use the ticket last minute before it expired. So it was better to spend a little more and use the ticket than to let it expire or spend way more money afresh on another airline like BA. Hoping to try BA for the first time soon (I’ve heard some complaints from some people about BA I guess I have to try it for myself and see). Have you tried BA before?
