Amen Mr. Yankee Arnold. Every born again Believer has a choice as to whether they will yield to the Holy Spirit or Not. This indeed is simply a Walk Issue in the life of the child of God. As a Street Preacher based in Florida, who preaches Faith Alone, I see how rare it is to find another Christian who also preaches faith alone out there on the Streets. Many whom I have encountered preach a "muddy" and unclear plan of salvation, which, of course is no plan of Salvation at all. And the reason is, most preach Lordship Salvation. Whether it is a pastor of a local church, an evangelist, a street preacher, or even an abolitionist standing outside of an abortion Mill, so many have added works to the Gospel. They preach such a confusing message because they have mixed Discipleship with Salvation.
It is truly sad, when so many have corrupted the simplicity of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. God did not make salvation hard. He made it simple and easy. It surely can get lonely some times as a Faith Alone preacher, but I will not compromise on the truth of the Gospel, and as you mentioned, I will not change the message of the Gospel, simply because some Christians are living like the world. Salvation has and always will be a Free Gift, by Grace through Faith. And Discipleship is by becoming a Doer of the word, two separate issues.

He did all the work necessary and all He wants a person to do is simply Believe that He did it for them. As Mr. Yankee Arnold also mentioned in his message, those who add works to Grace, they are the very ones who are attempting to cheapen it. And when they accuse of doing that, I make sure to remind them that The Grace of God is not cheap, but rather, it is simply Free.

The Bible says it is by belief in Jesus Christ.
What do you need to believe?
The Bible says that Jesus as God in the flesh died for our sins, he was buried and he rose again 3 days later and he will return again.
James, we are all sinners and can’t ever do enough or be good enough but Jesus is perfect and believing who he is and what he did saves you. He adopts you as a child of God and will never leave you or kick you out !
If you believe in your heart Jesus died , and rose again and that he paid your sin debt, he gives you eternal life. You are born again ( spiritually) and he seals you forever and you can not lose this salvation he gives.
Some people pray a prayer acknowledging Jesus and what he did for us. Although that is not necessary, if you want you can pray and tell him you know you’re a sinner and that you believe that he died for your sins and that you accept his gift of eternal life.
After a person gets saved, start reading the Bible. I suggest you start with the New Testament book of John.
The King James version is the best translation but can be hard to understand sometimes so a study guide is good
Find a church that teaches the right gospel ( you can’t earn it or do anything to keep your salvation).
Pray daily and ask the good Lord to help you in this new life he’s given you as you start learning more about our awesome Savior !
      Some verses to help you
      John 3:16
      Ephesians 2:8-9
      I Corinthians 15:3-5
And, watch other teachings by Yankee. He clears up so much confusion about what the Christian life is all about.

If one doesn't have this desire, it's because they aren't saved.
Luke 7:47 For this reason I say to you, her sins, which are many, have been forgiven, for she loved much; but the one who is forgiven little, loves little.”

I’d be carful though taking out the stuff you don’t like…. The Bible warns against adding or subtracting from its contents because it is considered to be the word of God and is meant to be taken as a complete and whole message. Any addition or subtraction to the text could change the meaning and intent of the message, and therefore be considered a distortion of the truth. This warning can be found in several places in the Bible, including Deuteronomy 4:2, Deuteronomy 12:32, and Revelation 22:18-19.

Lordship Salvation (LS) is nothing new. It has been around since the Apostle Paul, which Paul addressed in the book of Galatians. Hear the inspired Word of God....
‭Let me ask you only this: Did you receive the Spirit by works of the law or by hearing with faith? Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh?
      Galatians‬ ‭3:2‭-‬3‬ ‭
Paul is calling out LS, a damning heresy that was popular back then and is still popular in churches everywhere today. It is a serious error that is taught by false teachers like John McArthur and John Piper and many other celebrity teachers; it is largely accepted uncritically. I'm sure you've heard this manifestation of LS before....
....We are justified by faith alone, but not by a faith that is alone....
Let's unpack this profound theological statement; I will demonstrate the damning heresy imbedded in it. I will refer to Galatians 2:2-3 in parentheses, translating the statement above according the inspired Word of God....
      1. ‭"We are justified by faith alone.... (recieved the Spirit by hearing with faith),
      2. ...but not by a faith that is alone ("Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh?) Galatians‬ ‭3:2‭-‬3‬ ‭
Paul is basically correcting the Galatians who became Christians by faith in Jesus Christ, but fell into the serious error that they must finish their salvation by works; a hybrid of faith in Jesus Christ melded together with obedience to the Law. Sound familiar?
This damning heresy is still around today, popularized by the notion that there must be works in the life of a professing Christian. They must persevere, they must be obedient, they must submit to the Lordship of Christ, they must do more and try harder, and if these works are not present in the life of a professing Christian then they are not a Christian.
The end result of this is that you become a Pharisee. Under LS you become worried that YOU are not doing enough works to prove your justification, which leads to despair. Therefore, YOU must do more and try harder to, YOU must be obedient to God's Laws, and YOU must persevere to the end. And when you finally succeed, then YOU become proud of YOUR efforts, that Is, until you begin to worry again that YOU are not doing enough works to prove your justification, in an endless cycle of pride and despair. Do you see how LS is bondage to the Law of God and not freedom from the Law by faith in Jesus Christ?
This is no small matter. We are either justified by faith or justified by works, and the two can not be mixed. Its all or nothing.
The Bible clearly teaches over and over that we are justified/saved by faith alone in Jesus Christ apart from the works of the law. Please read God's Word. It is clear as day....
And to the one who does not work but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness,
      Romans 4:5
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
      Ephesians 2:8‭-‬9
I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness were through the law, then Christ died for no purpose.
      Galatians 2:21
For we hold that one is justified by faith apart from works of the law.
      Romans 3:28
Now it is evident that no one is justified before God by the law, for “The righteous shall live by faith.”
      Galatians 3:11
And be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith-
      Philippians 3:9
Yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified.
      Galatians 2:16
For by works of the law no human being will be justified in his sight, since through the law comes knowledge of sin.
      Romans 3:20
Given the clear and unmistakable teachings in the Scriptures that salvation is by faith in Jesus Christ apart from the works of the law, can you please explain to me how the absence of good works in the life of a professing Christian who has faith in Jesus Christ is not saved? Please reply

    • @zebra2346
      @zebra2346 8 месяцев назад

It is commonly taught by false teachers that a person is not saved by good works, but that they will necessarily demonstrate good works because they are saved. Therefore, if someone does not demonstrate good works as a professing Christian, then they must not be a Christian.
      Question: What are good works?
Answer: Good works is this-obedience to the Laws of God-keep the commandments, be perfect, do this and don't do that, love God and love your neighbor, etc.
The Bible clearly teaches over and over that we are justified/saved by faith alone in Jesus Christ apart from the works of the law. Please read God's Word, and then my conclusion for your consideration
      Romans 3:20
Do you see the problem? The moment you point to your obedience to God's Laws to prove your salvation, you are basing your salvation on "your performance" and not the "finished work of Jesus Christ", contradicting God's promise of salvation by faith in Jesus Christ apart from the works of the law.

The Burden of all the sins of the the world was born upon the cross by The Lord Jesus Christ. Anyone who places the burden of sin upon a sinner to be saved is proffering a false gospel of self righteousness. Jesus paid it all, and he died in our place, taking the punishment we deserve.
Salvation is not doing your best, it is having Christ’s best through (repentance) belief and Faith (trust). God will not save anyone trying to be saved by their own actions (works).
God will only save those who know they need a savior, and are trusting in him to be saved. The only requirement to be saved; is to admit you are a guilty sinner in Gods sight (Romans 3:19-26) and to turn to Jesus Christ in Faith trusting in his death burial and resurrection Romans 10:9-13) You as an ungodly sinner to be saved. No one has ever been saved except the ungodly (Romans 4:5-8) God does not save the self righteous, who who are going about attempting to establish their own righteousness. (Matthew 7:21-23) we can only be saved by Gods righteousness which is through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. Philippians 3:9 says And be found in him, not having my own righteousness, which is of the law, but that righteousness which is of faith, through the risen Lord Christ Jesus who give me his righteousness, for I have none save his.
“Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.”

The best case they have is false conversion ideas.
I think it’s perfectly fair to think a grievous sinner who claims to believe may be deceived.
I believe they could still be saved. I don’t believe in anything but faith alone.
But it is a decent point they bring up- regarding believing sinners who claim to believe are false converts. Unfortunately i think they’re right in many cases. But biblically a grievous sinner could be a believer.

Saved by grace through faith and not of your own works, however, faith without works is dead. You can’t claim to be in Christ and still live like the world.. repent and believe not believe and keep wilfully sinning because you claimed you believe in the Lord. Antinomianism is heretical

The James reference, faith without works is dead, was not a salvation issue. He was explaining to fellow believers that, as saved, if we don’t have works to show, we’re useless in leading others to the Lord .. as in our faith is dead in man’s eyes .. not God’s. Read the context around the cherry-picked verse you use. People use that verse a lot to claim a person can lose their salvation, as well as claim a person isn’t saved to begin with if they don’t prove it with works.
The only proof I need is that I trusted Christ as my savior and He promised to save me.
You can hear Pastor Arnold preach that message as well.

      Yes, you can.

Repent means to change one's mind d and not turn from sin.
Repent (change your mind) about how one is saved.
Matthew tells us that a person that is dependent on their works to save them will be turned away. They never trusted in Christ alone in faith alone.

Not everyone that is saved will turn into a disciple.
On a separate note - read Matthew 7:21-23
That’s for those who want to teach false doctrine and also add to faith alone.
By the way, when you read it, “the will of my father” is referring to believing, not works, not following commandments .. faith alone.
What did Paul tell the Philipian jailer about how to be saved?
Did the thief on the cross come down and do some good works before dying?
Antinomianism assumes we’re still bound by the law and choose to disobey. Christ was the END of the law. We choose to obey because we love Him. Still, if we disobey, He chastens those, but nobody loses salvation. Disobedience also doesn’t mean a person was never saved. Just like those who do good works - not all of them ARE saved. Faith alone .. service afterwards is leading others to the Lord and storing up treasures in heaven. Not required for salvation.

A lot of wrangling over words. Lawyering the text. Marketing and differentiating over small matters. No one gets saved easier because of the pure grace message or puts it off the decision because vague works may be implied.
What is true is that anyone touched by the Master will bow to Him or flee Him. Intuitively they know they will build on the Rock or He will be the Stumbling Block that destroys. Few people will have a story like Augustine. By far those who want to wait for later have made the decision and later is a fleeing tactic.
At the moment of what-will-I-do? decision religious doctrine is not in play. Spirit is in play.
Oh, come on, just say yes, it's a free gift. A person rationalized into Messish through doctrine will have a rational, not spiritual, arrangement. Nothing grows in a rational arrangement. In a rational relationship. The weeds rise and the cares of the world choke the life out of them and they fade away.
