I’m still trusting in Jesus even though I’m still struggling putting groceries in the refrigerator, and paying bills. I’m a single mother. Like many others, I lost my job as a social worker because I declined the vaccine. I declined because of my pre existing health condition (Lupus) and Heart disease. I was denied my medical/religious exemption from Forsyth Hospital. I’m waitressing but not making nearly enough to make ends meet. My husband is in heaven with God. Both of my sons are autistic, so they require a lot from me. Every month is a struggle, a battle to not end up on the streets. I can’t be homeless with two young children. BUT I HAVE FAITH GOD WILL PROVIDE. He has this far. Thank you Jesus. I BELIEVE. Faith over fear!

I wish more people could understand how lordship salvation ideologies have infiltrated the church. When I started looking into the teachings of Calvinism, I realized it was in my present church and in much of the churches I grew up in.
To realize the truth in your message , Yankee, is to be set free to the legalism that still holds many and used to keep me captive. I share your videos with many who are stuck in confusing salvation with service/ discipleship.
So thankful I found your channel and God has used you to open my eyes and that Jesus really does give a free gift.

Truth. I grew up in an IFB church for 32 years. Since leaving that church I’ve realized just how much legalism they had and how they taught Lordship Salvation/Calvinism, even if they didn’t come out and say it. I’d say the MAJORITY of Baptist churches teach this to a certain degree.

Just left my local assembly because it turned into a lordship cult of personality. Went to a new one this morning and it’s a much more subtle lordship congregation. Lots of nonsense like conflating faith with faithfulness and use of a “true believer” distinction. Very frustrating that there’s so few free grace assemblies around.

Amen Mr. Arnold. Salvation and Discipleship are two separate issues. Salvation is by Faith Alone in Christ Alone. And Discipleship is by yielding to the Spirit and following after Christ for Service. Salvation can never be lost. While Discipleship can be lost. Salvation is Simple and Easy. And Discipleship is not easy but it can be quite hard.
Salvation comes by the hearing of faith, of the word of the truth of the Gospel. While Discipleship and service come by being a doer of the word and not a hearer only. Thank you once again for your faithfulness to God's word for so many years and for preaching a clear Gospel. It makes such a difference!

You made a point about "alone" not being next to faith in the Bible, but you are OK with adding "initial and final" next to salvation. Works are required for obedience in service to Jesus. Salvation is a free gift - Romans 6:23, 5:15-18 and Eph:2:9. The only way to receive Jesus is by believing. Jesus is not IKEA that gives us many pieces to put our salvation together. @ 24:08 That was a great explanation about "He that loveth father or mother more than me." I've never heard it explained before and I've read that passage many times. It's one that frankly has confused me all these years and I've been saved since 1977. I guess I just couldn't put it together with the law which demands that we love the Lord our God first and before anyone else, even our own father and mother. Trust me when I say this, I learned the hard way what can happen when you disobey this because I did put my mother and father literally before God with DEVASTATING consequences in my personal life. Basically, it totally destroyed my life and I'm still reaping the consequences of it to this day and likely until I die. If it sounds as if I'm overstating what happened, trust me, it is worse than you can possibly imagine. Some decisions can't easily be reversed and some will have lifelong consequences.

When I “walked the aisle“ the pastor showed me Romans 10:9-10. Then I “called on the name of the Lord, and confessed with my mouth the Lord Jesus.” But the only thing that “saved” me (made me righteous before God) was belief in Jesus, that His death, burial, and resurrection paid for all my sin. But, I went away that night thinking I had checked off all the boxes on the salvation checklist. I had no idea what Romans 10 actually taught: “righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise…the word of faith, which we preach.” Confessing is preaching. Calling on the name of the Lord is because you have, first, believed. Salvation is only by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Telling someone that Romans 10 is teaching confession and calling on the name of the Lord is necessary for salvation is not correct. The Southern Baptist, Billy Graham following churches I grew up in, ignorantly taught this gnostic, Calvinistic, Lordship salvation-and still do-with an attitude of arrogance and devotion to the ideology of the Southern Baptist Faith and Message. Pray for these people, that they would read the KJB and understand God’s gospel of grace and faith through Christ Jesus alone.

Why was the Lord wroth? Why was a fire kindled against Jacob? And anger had come up against Israel? Why? Because they believed not in God, and trusted not in his salvation.
Psalm 78:21-22: Therefore the Lord heard this, and was wroth:
So a fire was kindled against Jacob,
    And anger also came up against Israel;
22 Because they believed not in God,
And trusted not in his salvation:
    God’s salvation:
Matthew 9:12-13: They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick. 13 But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
Matthew 18:11: For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.
Matthew 20:28: Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
Mark 2:17: They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
Mark 10:45: For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
Luke 9:56: For the Son of man is not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them.
Luke 19:10: For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
John 3:14-18: And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: 15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
John 3:36: He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
John 5:24: Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
John 6:29: This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.
John 6:40: And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
John 6:47: Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.
John 8:15-16: Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man. 16 And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me.
John 12:47-48: And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. 48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
Acts 4:10-12: Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. 11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. 12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
Acts 13:38-39: Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: 39 And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.
Acts 15:11: But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.
Acts 16:30-31: And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? 31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
Romans 5:6-8: For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. 8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
1 Corinthians 15:3-4: For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
1 Timothy 1:15: This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.
1 John 2:2: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
1 John 4:14: And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.

How can one make Jesus your Lord and Master. Sure that's what Jesus is. Who did you believe in. Yes, the Lord Jesus Christ. You believed in Jesus and He was the Lord, and you had done nothing. So how can one be making Jesus Lord by their outward behaviour when Jesus is already Lord being God.

  • @juls483
    @juls483 Год назад +3

I agree that salvation is by grace. The problem I have is that you are not using the law to bring the knowledge of sin to the person to make them guilty before God first. Jesus came to save sinners, not righteous people. The Bible in the New Testament says that the law is a school master to bring us to Christ. I understand that gentiles did not have the law the way the Jews did, but if used the gentiles have a conscience and the Holy Spirit will convict a person that they are a sinner. Have someone ask that girl you talked to if she's a good person and see what she says. She without thinking will probably say, yeah, I'm a pretty good person. Has the Holy Spirit convicted her of sin? If so, would she try to justify herself or believe she was a sinner? I think Ray Comfort is wrong except for how he brings a person to the knowledge of their sin. So few pastors do this. Where Ray Comfort goes wrong is expecting a person to repent or turn from all their sins. No, the opposite is true. A person, because they are sinful, cannot do anything to make themselves right with God. That's why a person needs to hear the law first, and depending on their response, then they need to hear that Jesus died for them. Jesus said that no man can come to Him except the Father draw them. Jesus also said that those who hear and are taught of God cometh to Jesus. God always first teaches a man that they are separated from God because of their sin and that they are dead in trespasses and sin. That's where the law can come in. It also depends on how they hear. That's what it was for, to show a person that they are a sinner and not good. Then, once they have agreed and stop justifying themselves then you give them the gospel to freely believe and receive. Once they believe on Christ they are at that very moment forever a child of God. Also, I am not a calvanist either. I do believe in eternal security. I just think that people need first to believe they are a sinner before they come to believe on Christ.
