    Just spoke with my dad. The tonearm is a Datum S , and the cartridge is an Audio Technica OC9.

      I think so too! I was stunned when I realised what sweet set up he had. Later he had some big Kefs. He's since moved on to a pair if big open baffles.

      I consider my aDs 910s as likely end-gamers, but if I chose to upgrade and had the means it would be open-baffles. @@mydadsaysaudio6192

      @trog69 Audiophilia Nervosa is an almost untreatable condition! The funny thing is I had the most fun at 17 with my first system, a Playstation1, a 1970s Akai monster reciever (which was super uncool at the time I got it) , and some no name banger speakers my dad upgraded. My current gear is still modest in some ways, but way beyond what my 17 year old self would have thought I'd ever own. All the best with your end game, and if you do choose to try open baffles, I hope you enjoy them. I love the sound of my dads; open, fast, with stunning bass power.
