How to Replace a Compression Angle Stop

In this video I demonstrate how to remove and replace a compression angle stop valve. Compression angle stops are the most common type and require an inexpensive specialty tool to remove, but are easy to install and easier to remove than soldered valves.

Can a ferrule be removed by expanding with heat?

No, I don't think so. If the ferrule doesn't come off with the puller the pipe itself may be damaged from over-tightening and you probably need to replace the pipe section.
