Imagine filming airsoft
Imagine fliming airsoft
Right?
Imagine being able to play airsoft
Imagine all the BBs
Livin' for today
Imagine filming airsoft like this with a pistol
Super informative and well made video, definitely the tried and true method of airsoft filming. One interesting innovation I'd mention is the insta360 cameras which can capture some incredible 360 footage that provides every bit of angle.
Great suggestion!
For cqb I would recommend a no zoom pistol/light camera I got one for 80 and it works great it’s a defentac and I love it and comes with a pic mount
This is my set up too. I agree that that selfie cam gopro is clunky and kinda takes away from the asthetics but is so worth it for the film
I’m so torn!
Good video. Pro tips for sure. Seems pretty much what I'm doing as well, except I suffer the wrath and weight of the added external battery on the hand guard for my selfie cam (Runcam 5 Orange) 😂. I'm not sure if the reduced camera weight and size make up for the difference.
EXCELLENT video, create editing, very informative!
Much appreciated!
Aw tysm man it helps me alott thanks!
I have no interest in filming my game play, and I'm sure no one else would have an interest in watching. However this was a great video. High quality mate. Great editing. Nice flow and pace. Fantastic examples with detailed descriptions and valuable information.
You seem to put a fair bit of doubt out that your content is sub standard, my guess is that this is a persona, but many true word is spoken in jest so hear my words well done.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for the Advice.
No worries!
Nicely done video my dude!
Glad you liked it!
Definitely the 3rd shot (helmet cam, scope cam, and selfie cam) definitely more interesting!
Cheers m8
Great video as always dude!
The selfie cam definitely adds to the experience, however I can totally understand that its clunky to have on the rifle.
Especially if you're running an AK with Zenitco parts that's already pushing 4kg+ without added cameras 😂
Definitely!
i must admit your video editing skill is amazing and airsoft video is good quality, but i wonder how many budget that you spend for tools and device?
My credit card company loves me…that’s what I’ll say
Pro tip for avoiding overheating and battery lifetime shortage with the helmet setup..
Powerbank at the rear in a pouch, cable to the GoPro and no battery in the GoPro… I use this myself and my GoPro 11 runs for an entire game day without being shutted off and never had i any overheating issue
Ah yes I would imagine that works since you’re not overheating a battery that overheats the chassis
I did that and it overheated.. But I guess it could be because of the sealed casing
@@andethidialbubabibub3261 sounds like you did something wrong yes.. i used a slicone case, but i know of people who does the same but with sealed casings also
To be honest, the first one gave the best context of what is happening. However the coolest was definitely the third one.
Fair enough!
a few questions i have, Do you use anything to protect your runcam scope camera? & do you think running a portable charger with your gopro would be more effective, im running a paintball mask with baseball cap, im going to attach an Anti Fog kit as well as a portable battery on top with heavy duty velcro. and run the battery directly into the gopro do you think i would have issues doing so? im also using extra mounting legs to flip the gopro upside down with a dive case.
Great video, and very informative. I'm trying to help my son get set up for doing airsoft videos with his new Gopro (his 15th birthday present) Can you provide a link to both the helmet, and the gopro mount you use in this video? We're now on a budget after this Gopro 12 purchase 😬
Also can you recommend a bullet proof Airsoft case set up? I own a small machine and have a 3D Printer as well, so I can make stuff if necessary.
Is there/do you need a protector for the scope cam?
For proper First Person View you can try using a runcam. They are so tiny and have amazing picture quality. I thought about making one work for that true fps video.
They are really tiny that you can make a rig to mount it so that it's between your eyes for proper first person view.
One RUclips has done it and hasn't made a video about it since.
Hmm might be a reason it doesn’t get more footage or development
How is that helmet mount called and the case for it?
0:19 “I cannot recommend anything else other than a GoPro.”
9:34 “GoPros are prone to overheating really quickly“, and you recommend pulling off the battery.
Or, you know, you could use and recommend “the better GoPro“ aka the DJI Osmo Action, which has all the advantages of the GoPro minus its overheating issues…
Ok
Nice in-depth video on this, man!!
One subject that really grinds my gears is: how long does your Facecam Hero 8 record before the battery dies? And do you suffer from overheating?
I do use it as a headcam and the original battery is done in some 30 mins. And it was new. Not to mention that even without casing the gawd dayum cube of camera tends to overheat rather quickly.
What's your experience so far?
Cheers and keep up the good stuff. Enjoying your vids over here in GER.
Hummer
EDIT: I see just 10 secs later, you also had overheating... 😀 But anyway. Hows battery life?
Usually in the hot 30 degree summer and direct sunlight it would last around 10 minutes or so. I had to swap batteries every round. Luckily one life game modes in Japan make this a non issue if you suck lol
hahahah. i see :D@@MaydaysanAirsoft
OK, that sucks big time. And friend and me work on remote power supply from chest rig / plate carrier acting pretty much like a lil electronic HPA tube - without even disturbing so far. To tackle that extra-weight-on-your-toy-issue. As we often play in games where a round lasts about 2 to 2,5 hrs straight.
Is the protective case enough to protect the camera from being hit by bbs?
Yes!
Hi. Would you recommend Linear, Wide or Superview with cam on helmet?
Wide
The problem here in the Philippines, its tooooooooo expensive to even buy a gopro
Yo mayday i was wondering on what your thoughts are for sub 300 fps for outdoors?
depends on the engagement ranges. If anything, just move instead of trying to beam someone across the map
With .36g BBs it's 1.5 J which exactly the same as 400 fps .20g :)
I play like that, it is accurate to a pretty decent range, but a bit slow. However if a BB never connects, because it is being deverted by a butterfly fart, it doesn't matter how fast it is.
What scope cam do you use and recommend?
GoPro hero session 4
How can i protect my scope cam?
on amazon i got a lens protector made for it
would you be able to add the links
to what good sir?
Oh, ads in the middle of the video? Yeah I’ll watch the ad! no skipping ad because I wanna support Madaysan
My boi
oo
Unpopular opinion: DJI works way better than a GoPro for airsoft. Doesn't overheat (ever) plugged into a powerbank you can literally film all day and night (if milsim), has the quality, stabilization,... of a GoPro for less $$. I literally went hunting for a 2nd hand DJI action 1 for retail price just to get my hands on a camera that does everything a gopro does without overheating. Now the DJI Action 3 is out, (the 2 sucks) and it's the same price as the action 1 cost retail while being on par with GoPro 11 in terms of virtually everything.
That said, it's my opinion after having tested both action cams, and is not intended to take away from the video which is well done btw! 🤙
Fair enough!
good video
Thanks for the visit
try putting the orange tip maybe RUclips will see it as a toy.
Doesn’t matter,. They’re toys either way
@@MaydaysanAirsoft just saying maybe it slip from RUclips.
me using phone to film POV gameplay, cause im only on a budget set up
Gotta do what you gotta do
@@MaydaysanAirsoft Haha I was hesitant at first, but as I saw the outcome, I realized that it was kind of nice and unique, IMO
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
1:36 That's just... Wrong though. Motion blur comes from shutter speed, not fps. Higher shutter speed = less motion blur, lower shutter speed = more motion blur. If you have the same fps/shutter speed ratio betwen 24 fps and 60 fps footage the motion blur will look the same visually. 24 and 30 fps are fine options for something like airsoft, but 60fps is smoother at the expense of more file size. Not trying to sound like a smartass, just a minor correction. Overall fantastic video. Filming, editing, and demonstrations are probably the best I've seen for a "how to film airsoft" video. Just one question: what helmet mount is that? The upside down gopro idea is really cool.
Thanks!
The Mount is the stock go pro ones and I just jerry rigged in onto the helmt
@@MaydaysanAirsoft Do you have a link?
Insta 360 😀
Yeah been hearing good things about that for selfie cams
really pushing it with the "toy" word
Buy osmo action cam instead of gopro. They are just better
In retrospect I agree!
dji osmo action 3 thank me later
Fair!
Awesome advice and another great video.
Glad you liked it!
@@MaydaysanAirsoft I've shared it with my gel blaster group here in OZ.
