Do you have any more tips for NAF 1st timers?
NAF was the first time I got like 5 people on delta to run :) and I didn't have confiance before that but after that I had alot more confidce in my leadership skills :). My tip : Be confident. Ask questions and most importantly talk to people.
As someone who plays at he site regularly my advice is get "IN "the hedges don't stay on the tracks, head to the Village at the end of the day just for shits and giggles and don't expect to make a difference to the game (you're against 2000 players), just have fun and take your hits.
Chrono lateish on the Friday. We went around 9pm and queued for maybe 5 minutes at most.
Wear decent eye/face pro. Definitely hot guns in play, especially when they chrono on 0.2s. Took a very hot hit to the forehead that definitely could've cost me a tooth or gone through cheap mesh goggles.
Take enough BBs, food and drink for the full day, Cook proper meals at camp , you'll feel better for it and won't spend loads of £££ at the food trucks (which you can then spend on airsoft goodies instead)!
When not on a main path, keep your hand raised and make sure it’s obvious you’re dead when enemy are nearby. People get quite trigger happy, especially if you’ve been hitting them from a good spot for a while.
Don’t be a salty bitch. Everyone is there to have fun and play soldiers.

Fantastic breakdown of the event as always. I 100% agree that the hit taking isn’t as bad as everyone says it is.
Yeah I agree, hit taking is pretty good. If in doubt take the hit. Dead zones are never too far away.
I think I’ve actually been killed by acorns on a couple of occasions 😆
@davidclark3581 yeah fair enough. I’m my experience cheating accounted for about 3-5 % of players. You can see mine, cammans and niccos footage. 1 cheat between us all.

one tip i would say is make sure all your batteries are fully charged before you go also invest in a power station the amount of people i heard batteries dyeing due to not testing them luckily i have plenty but hardly used as was using the vsr

It was my 7th NAF this year. The thing we always do is the moment we set up camp, we go straight to chrono then queue to check-in. The chrono queue is always the biggest queue so get that done first. I would say wait until Friday evening to check-in but they run out of the NAF23 patches by Friday PM this year
New to Airsoft, great video walkthrough! I'd be scared going to a huge event, I wouldn't know what to do :D

Such a fantastic weekend. Great tips for new players there. I seem to come across 1 salty player every year and it’s usually on the Sunday. Like you say, best to just ignore them.
If you’re dead and not on a main path, try and keep your hand up and call dead when enemy are around. I’ve been shot in that situation and have shot other players that aren’t making it clear they’re already dead.
I think they chrono on .2’s as A. It would take too long to keep changing the weight on the chrono. B. People would just lie about what weight they were using if they wanted to cheat the chrono anyway.

I’m Really sad I wasn’t able to go to naf but I at least got to experience a milsim at gz a few months prior, amazing place to play at
i went to NAF this year and when it comes to people not calling hits, i didnt have anyone not call my hits, i think i didnt call one because i was running but when i stopped i called it as i was sure someone shot my hand, Loved naf and cant wait for next year

Never been to NAF but done a few AI500s and Rift Airsofts weekender events, so I’d defo like to try it out. Just wasn’t sure with it being so many players whether it was a bit of a shitshow or not lol but seems like a good laugh

where do you find the Map for the site on Ares Alpha?
I kinda agree. I am sitting at 485fps w/.2g and when I put a .48g it jumps up to 2.71joules
What was the map app called?
Chrono on .2s is ridiculous. I run mostly gas guns (both GBBRs and gas bolt actions) and I know for a fact that my KJW m700 will joule creep over 3J if I chrono to 500fps on a .2.
I've never been to the NAF as the first one I was going to go to (waaaaaaaaaay back in 2008 when we just called it GZ) my family moved to Spain and when I came back to the UK I wasn't bothered, and with the pricing model shown for this year I think I'll just give it a miss.
And with the cheatin' and thievin'... It's unfortunately inevitable. With 3300 players, if 1% of those are bad actors that's 33 bad actors. That's a lot of bad actors roaming around!

I waited like 4 hours on sunday for my tank to be refilled most annoying point : it was filled like2 hours before but they never messaged me about it.

they capped NAF to 3150 players this year which in my opinion is way too many people. 2800 is a good number and they should keep to that

Anyone who's been around will tell you that Ground Zero is a pretty mediocre site, and it's not any better at the festival with a few thousand people crammed into it.
The appeal of the NAF is the incredible social element. It's all the shenanigans you get up to outside the field.
The actual airsofting is just a little something to dabble in when you get bored.
Like minded people they like there beers and there Airsoft

fucking hell guys c'mon this isnt 2010, tech and specs have changed ALOT over the year and the rise of HPA and creep, this boggles me
im going next year, im just going to hire a really nice converted van with its own toilet
