  • Time is measured differently on set. Seconds converted into frames, minutes into card space, hours into precious remaining daylight. EW-DP will change the way you think of sound on set. A wireless microphone system that puts time on your side by blending best-in-class technology with an ergonomic build.
Fully digital UHF guarantees cutting-edge signal clarity and reliability, and an innovative magnetic stacking system makes set-up a snap. Smart Notifications quickly identify missed yet critical problems, so you’re never caught off guard. Auto frequency coordination locates, organizes, and maximizes frequency usage with precision ensuring you find the most reliable signal in seconds. The Smart Assist app puts the control in the palm of your hand, allowing you to adjust your system at camera or across the room.
Whether you’re a crew of one or many, EW-DP is the ideal partner to simplify your audio workflow. After all, production has enough challenges; sound doesn’t need to be one of them.

I think it is more for obs doc where there isn’t a mixer.

receiver’s antennas can be folded, but the transmitter’s can’t

And no SD card for backup audio is YUGE mistake

I believe the Plug-on transmitter has a micro SD card slot for backup audio recording. That with a Mic input allows for external recording with a handheld or a Lav.

Is it time to ditch my AVX system?

however, if it doesn't have XLR, it's a better rode wireless go...

The receiver has a 3.5 mm output with a locking connector for either 3.5 mm TRS or XLR output cables (both of which are included in the box). You also have an option for an XLR plug-on transmitter to make any wired mic, wireless (i.e. a handheld interview mic, boom microphone.. even a Lav since the plug-on transmitter has a 3.5 mm input, too). This system is also transmitting via digital UHF, not 2.4 GHz like the Wireless Go - they are drastically different in terms of reliability, particularly in harsh RF environments.

It is much better then rode WG2. Balance connector instead stereo. Lower delay. UHF instead WiFi/Bluetooth 2,5 GHz frequencies. Wide preamp settings. More control via phone app. More stability. Replaceable batteries. And more.
But for me antennas braking everything. I can't put this thing in sound bag. So, I will wait for duo receiver with antennas on front side. And smaller transmitter hopefully))

Cool but you lost me at connectivity via a phone. That's the weakest link all the time.

Audio goes wireless UHF to receiver. Phone is just app to control the settings on the gear remotely (which you can't do on the G1/2/3/4).

You have the option to use phone to connect the receiver, but you can also control everything via the receiver.
