Basically, contraption that hides a pipe,enter the pipe into a travel on a vehicle,touch the cp1 and die, start the level from that checkpoint and finish the level
theyre all bland, the only good ones are the unique ones

the first one shown aren't quite good as you can tell what is the color of the pipe before you enter it.
the last one makes the dev exit obvious
nah, it can be a door as well, you can do it more than once in the level, the cp must just be unavoidable and lethal. (all in a comedic fashion)

so a "suspicious setup" is basically where you're thrown into a simple or impossible situation, you try to go through with it but *uh-oh* hidden pipe takes you on a wild rollercoaster that leads to your checkpoint and death!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The situation:
You see an illusion. You approach it and you ride a vehicle, hit a checkpoint and die. Start from checkpoint and finish the level.
I have no idea if I should be proud of what I’ve created at this point

Update: Edited time from 9:25 to 9:06 to show turnaround in full glory. I wish I could experience the sudden shock again, it was just so beautiful.

I don't understand the meaning or the novelty of these levels, feel like i'm missing something here
Why the oddly specific set of circumstances? Force the player into an enclosed space, suprise them with a chaotic auto sequence, and lastly, force the player to lose a life after hitting the checkpoint.
Sure, you can troll the player like this, but you can't fool them twice, the player will just continue from the checkpoint or look for an alternate route, so what's the point of making a level like this?

Even though the pipe wasn't completely hidden, the last level was my favorite due to the part emidiatly after
giving them a mushroom so they at least consider damage boosting thru the wigglers makes sense, was initially going to say a star but that might restrict what you can do later.
I just wanna know how they beat these levels without hitting the checkpoint. The start to finish clear check.

I like putting in an extra pipe or door in my levels next to the one your supposed to go down. I'll put arrows telling you to use the correct door, but if you go in the other one, elaborate death sequence.
All of these go the same way:
Go to the door
Something is blocking a pipe
Something about a bob-omb
You are trapped
Going to a checkpoint and your death
You somehow get to somewhere
Then you get a rude ending
Everyone gangsta till the Mario 64 slide music starts playing.

I found two things these levels have in common.
All of them have masked pipes and after entering them the protagonists gets trapped in a flat area, then killed.
With the new update everything will be new and fresh, and that’s kind of scary.
1:20 PAINIS CANNON

So basically what I got from this is
Mario enters obscured pipe
Slider plays
So basically most of these "Non-suspicious setup" levels are:
- Usually starts a remote area with a door
- After you enter the door, it will collect so many enemies or things and put into one line, and they block the path to the goal
- Then you try go to the goal but instead you just enter the pipe you barely see because of the enemies stacking in a line
- Then you ride a vehicle that is impossible to escape and there a sign says "CP 1" or "UH-OH", or something like that.
- After one eternity later, you saw the checkpoint and once you grab it, you will die after couple of seconds.
- After you die, the CP1 area is changed just like double double. There's a door, and you go to it.
- After that, you get the goal.
Wow, these same contraptions makes this one suspicious when we encounter again, thanks to this WilfredBos and others who do levels just like that one.
Tbh Smashy, you wasted my time showing these same contraptions all over again, with five of them goes to this freaking WilfredBos. You could just pick the levels such that each of them has uniqueness to each other, or you could just pick this same contraption and show it only once. I'm sorry, but you wasted my time that I cannot get my precious minutes back... No offense...

Literally the only way to upload these is to contain a hidden dev route. Because obviously you can't upload these without dying due to the clear checks.
Remember that elevator glitch from mm1 where if you place a note block and something on top next to a bullet bill you would clip inside and if you pressed jump you would shoot up to the top of the bill i used that in all my levels lmao but I couldn’t upload them because i bought the 3ds version (i was young and didn’t know it was on wiiU) I didn’t even know wiiU existed till it was too late to return 3ds ;(

All these levels are the same. You find something at the beginning that makes you go “What the heck, how’d they do that?” Then you find a secret hidden pipe that leads to something that you’re forced to go in and then you get a checkpoint and die so when you go again you’re at the checkpoint and finish the level

Yes! I would love to see his reaction to the last CP1 at 9:06. Seeing Mario rise up from the void absolutely blew my mind, and if I know DGR, he would completely lose it if he saw that.

In that first level is that tall cannon and and those two short cannons next to it at the end of the level supposed to represent the old frank & beans, or are they just there for decoration.
