I have both a 4002 and a 4004. The 4002 has had the circuit boards rebuilt and now performs perfectly. Thank you for posting these videos.

Your videos give good concise instruction. I saw a beogram 4200 turntable at a local thrift store for $30 but it is not functioning at all. Due to your videos and experience with these tables, I may go and purchase the beogram 4200 to restore.

Hi beolover! Novice question: is it necessary to always adjust the counterweight when setting the tracking force? Also, is it possible to measure the tracking force using a digital stylus gauge? I have a Beogram 4002.
    Thanks! :)

Hi, any idea how to get the cover assembly off so I can see what is going on with the tracking arm set up?
It overshoots the LP unless I center the light arm. Not sure if that has a sensor or something but just need to be able to open the unit

I have my dad’s beogram 4002, the tracks are stuck together and I can’t get to the weight levers because of the dust cover. I would love to be able to use it, it turns on but tracks are moving. Any thoughts? Thank you!

Given that the actual measured force after adjustment was quite a lot different to the indicated dialled pressure.... Could you forget the spring altogether ( set it to zero ) and simply measure & set tracking weight with the balance weight ? Or..... Adjust the counter balance so that you can match the dialled pressure to the pressure measured with the balance ?

Yes...we usually try to match the dial at 1.2g with an actual readout of 1.2g, but the scale on the dial mechanism is an estimate at best, i.e. what counts is the measurement.
