Well, after buying a Beolink 1000 remote, I was able to get into TEST MODE, and proceed with the repair you go over in this video. Your video was extremely helpful...thanks so much! I wouldn't have tried this without your guidance. A few things to note...there is an extra screw on the CD carrier that you have to take off to get the sledge to snap out of the arm holding it onto the unit. You don't mention that you need to release the ribbon cables as you pull the sledge off the unit...there are releases on the left and right side of the cables that you need to push back to release the cable. You mention those when putting them back on later in the video. It may be obvious to you, but to those that follow directions to the letter, this could throw them. Also, I'm not sure why you took the whole back plate with the 9 screws off to do this repair. Perhaps you had other repairs to carry out on this unit that required it, but for this particular repair it isn't necessary. Just set the BS9000 into TEST MODE using the remote, press CD and then 72 to get it to release the sledge, move it by hand to somewhere convenient, then undo the bits to get the sledge off. There isn't even a need to remove that tricky center plastic thing to get the carrier off.
Thank you Giuseppe for the great video outstanding and unique !!! . I have a question prior to do this on my own. After exchange do you just power up the unit and no need to exit the test mode - or is there any start up code ?
Hi Giuseppe - firstly great instructional video which was easy to follow and informative. I have a a question regarding reassembly. When reassembling the CD cradle (removed circa 4:00min reinstalled 7:18min), it now drops down a little and the mechanism is unable to freely move without hitting the chassis. I think it is called the clamper. It doesn't hold up in position though I'm pretty certain I have put it back exactly as per instruction. I noticed this on assembly attempting to slide back into position 1. It required me to lift slightly to clear the silver frame. I checked and re-seated 3 or 4 times with the same result. I repowered thinking it might auto adjust and resolve but now no longer can freely slide without hitting. The spring adjustment was in the correct position prior to disassembly. Any advice or suggestions to help? Thanks.
@@GiuseppeM Hi guys. So I've pulled mine apart a few times now. Replace the laser twice (wrong unit the first time). Are there any other thoughts on what can cause this error. Incidentally I don't have a functional remote
Thanks for the feedback! I believe they sent you the wrong laser module; check with the dealer and check with different stores. You definitely need the remote though
You can release the sledge by opening the glass and pressing cd position 6 then disconnecting mains power as the sledge is moving
@@rivalrepairs this is clever. wish I knew this before buying the remote.
Good tip. I wish I left them alone.

Hello,
What kind of error did you get after test in test mode?
Hi I just finished putting in the laser, but now it doesn’t switch on, any ideas pls?
Good afternoon please how can I order for the CD module
They’re on eBay, contact the seller to make sure they send you the right one
Hi amazing video I have beosound 9000 mk2 I can’t not take the laser unit out it’s the top right hand side where the screw is the screw is out the laser unit I can lift out on the 3 sides but the top right hand side is sticking in the metal housing just can’t not get the unit out please can you help me or any one had the same problem waiting for your reply thank you
The cd clamper is in the locked position. Press one of the other cd locations and when the clamper is moving turn the main power off to allow the sled to move freely. Failing this you can manually unlock with cog underneath the sled. You need to poke at it with a screwdriver and is tricky.
How do I access the programming of my control, I have the same problem with my beosound 9000
To enter Test Mode click Shift 90258
Everyone keeps saying click shift. There is no shift key to click. Everyone keeps saying its under List key. I press List key there is no shift (only stand,random,speaker,a.setup).
Need more info, break it down to exactly as teaching and alien.
You don’t show your remote as your doing this so can’t see what yiur doing.
great tutorial. Same with mk1?
Yes but the laser kit is a different part number
@@GiuseppeM ye, sure. Got it since ages but since one of my 2 bs9000 is still running I never felt to try. Thanks
Where did you buy the laser from?
I bought it from eBay, double check with the seller that it's for the right version of your player
Csn you please tell me how to spot the generation for the 9000?
Take off the Upper left Cover - control Unit - behind you will find all details on a sticker
Thankyou for the tutorial. Do you know how to go to test mode without a remote? Cheers
Thank you, no I don’t know if it’s possible
Not possible test mode is only possible with the remote
Where is the shift button
SHIFT is found under LIST button
Hi what the code for free the bloc cd ?

Tell me where did you buy le laser lens
I bought it on eBay like i mentioned in the video, but there are 2 modules, you need to ask the seller to make sure it's the right one
It looks like a cheap small laser, in a nice big CD player, that’s so sad 😔🤔 Old Sony CD 💿 players like the X777ES or X77ES are using indestructible overpowered lasers, built like a tank! B&O didn’t make the right choice!
Happy for you using a Jap Sony
