I'm going to re-watch this and make a spreadsheet, lol.
🤣
How'd it turn out ?
Incredibly helpful video. Do you prefer to run RCAs through sleeving? I've got 3 pairs to run to the trunk area of a Scion tC, wondering if sleeving would be beneficial.
Dean, you should have re-iterated that you need a hot knife to cut this stuff or it will fray like crazy. A lot of people don't realize that.
Cut and singe with a lighter
Thank you Dean for explaining this again. I don't understand why people still give this a thumbs down when you couldn't have explained it any easier then this. I'm going through this with my own channel that is also focused on Car Audio and I appreciate you alot for taking the time to make this. These dudes just don't understand the late ours of editing just to share information with everyone.
Look this up wayyyy more than I’d like to admit. 🤣🤣🤣
I was goint to ask you about this topic in another video, glad that I found this video first. Thank you ! So helpful.
I’m literally ordering this stuff NOW (from your store’s link so you get the affiliate credit). It’s like you read my mind. Thank you!
Dude, thanks for making this video.
I thought primary wires were the spark plug wires and all other wires were secondary wires????
I'm hoping to create an ethernet snake with three cables inside. And I would prefer not to have to re-terminate the cables if possible. What size would you recommend for that? Not sure what gauge an ethernet cable would be considered. Just guessing from the video, I would say one cable is 8 gauge. I don't care about the color showing as my cables are black also.
Good evening Dean. Please keep up the great work that you do on your videos. My question is this. What are the pros and cons of using braided sleeving compared to split wire loom and tesa tape, when running power cables, rca's and remote turn on power wires? Is it that it is recommended to run power cables in braided sleeving then slip it into split loom and then tesa tape it? Regards and thanks, Randy in Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean.
Was looking at this just yesterday 🥺😂
You know things are serious when the hands come out for a video. Great helpful video.
for a 14g speaker wire will the 3/8 work?
which 1 do i use for 14g speaker wire?
Great video sir. Good format
Thanks guys for this
Thanks. I’m using 10 gage for my light bar. 1 red and 1 black. Knowing the 3/8” I bought will work for two 10 gage wires is great. I did also get. 1/2” so maybe I’ll need it one day but I might have to get a 1/4” also for individual 10 gage wires.
Thank you very much! I was juggling with different sizes on eBay and trying to guess from a couple of other clips and losing my time as I don't want to spend a budget over a gamble (however educated can it be: on my part it was a validation)... Your clip is truly the most welcome, comprehensive/accessible... But most importantly, an essential must see for anyone who doesn't have such experience to guess without a chart. Thank you.
So if I’m just running a red and a black wire for let’s say a light bar, the 3/8” is the right size?
Good day. What model Techflex sleeving are you using in the video? Please continue all your great work. Regards, Randy
I'm in A/V and this is what I needed. Thanks.
Video was really helpful. I'm thinking the paracord will be the main color, but it seems the Techflex goes on top, IT(techflex) becomes the Main color and the Paracord is the Highlight kinda.
Very helpful
I came here to know what length of a sleeve I need to buy in order to put them over cables of various sizes. The thicker the cable the shorter the sleeve becomes as it expands sideways. Can you tell me the combination (based on per meter of cable)
Do you run flex in an engine bay, or do you go to a plastic loom?
their vids show them use flex
😂3/8 Inc still the best
Thanks Dean even though you answered this a few days ago...geez people..
This was awesome! Do you guys loom only certain areas or over the entire run?
They do entire run
Lol always atleast 1 thumbs down....note to that person...its you seek help
How do I keep my sleeves from unraveling when feeding wire through it?
Would 6 strands of 14 ga work in a 1/2” sleeve?
lol, good thing all these parts are sold the metric system. 1/8th" lolol.
Dean also 3/4 for stinger 4000 6ch rca's
Thank you for this!
Great video, I reference this all the time
Woopie
I use 4/0 power and ground, so.. I don't know what would fit that wire.
1 inch
Thanks 👍🏾
Well Done!
1/2"👍🏻
Awesome
Great video
I have 2 awg power wire. What in hell you need 0 awg in a passenger car for?
More powaaaa
I was running 5k watts rms in my Camaro for a while, thought about going to 2/0 but the 1/0 was good enough.
What about nine wire ?
Speed wire or 9 wire is usually the size of 4 gauge wire so I use half inch on my speed wire.
@@rz9708 thank you
