I love it. Al, Frank and Dan were the best analyst trio. Smart, insightful and untainted. Today analysts are company men who do exactly as they’re told. You couldn’t tell these men what to do. They had integrity

Every time I watch an AFC game from this era I can't help but think of them as the JV league because at this point in history it was such a disparity between the NFC and the AFC it was literally two different leagues The NFC won 14 super bowls in a row and the AFC was literally playing a different brand of football than the NFC they were just inferior now the Buffalo bills were not inferior I know they lost four in a row but they was beating those teams during the regular season they just for some reason didn't win the super bowl but in the regular season they used to beat them four times almost every year but the rest of the AFC was so inferior to the NFC

today its all scripted. has been for awhile. the mainstreammedia tells them to say this and put this narrative out and dont comment on this or that. shameful what football has become. actually all sports come to thibk of it.... sadly...i miss the 80s' and 90''s

This was one time John Elway learned how no lead was safe and throwing costly interceptions, it proved to never get relaxed or lackadaisical. If you do it can hurt you and that's exactly what happened that night.

26:05 - Dan being very prophetic about the future of Hershel Walker in Dallas about 365 days after this game is played.

1:16:00 listen to the commentary after they explain the Broncos inexplicably letting the 1st half clock run out. Hilarious.

Love the video and Al, Frank, and Dan are legendary but what is Frank talking about at the 2 hour mark exactly? Andy Reid never coached for the Broncos. He obviously mixed him up with someone else.

George Blanda and Ken Stabler are HoFers. Tom Flores too but he got in more as a coach. I think that's it.

I never bought the media lie about all of Denvers success was because of Elway and the rest of his team was garbage.
He threw 4 picks in this game. 2 were 100% his fault.
He had (not in this game) defensive guys like Mecklenburg, Dennis Smith, Greg Kragen, Simon Fletcher. All pro-bowlers I believe.
He also had Keith Bishop on O line, Vance Johnnson at WR.
Wasn't like the guy was playing on a team with an empty cupboard.
Not all Elways doing when they won, wasn't just his surrounding cast when they lost.

Only ten years later did Elway win with Shannon Sharpe Terrell Davis Ed McCaffrey Rod Smith Neil Smith Alford Williams and Steve Atwater! And they got rid of that conservative play calling coach Dan Reeves and hired a real coach Mike Shanahan.

Bishop was an okay guard at best. There were countless better offensive lineman in football. I could probably name 25 better receivers in football in that era.

They had good rankings on defense when the lost those superbowls

Elway had solid weapons at receiver, a very talented tight end and a pair of highly underrated receiving backs in Winder and Sewell. The man was not the lone talent as so many of his worshippers have maintained.

You are an imbecile. Reeves took teams to 4 Super Bowls. He was an excellent coach by any rational standard.

Schroeder never rectified his accuracy problems and it doomed him to outright mediocrity. Too bad too because he had a cannon arm and plenty of athleticism to spare.
