What a great session on the famous Jetty! So much fishing action happens here. Great for kids and of course - fisherman. We went there to target Mackerel but you can catch Tuna, Jew Fish, Cod, Sharks, King Fish, Bonito - Just about any species I've seen been caught off this jetty.

Went out a couple of weeks ago about 200m of the jetty and caught 3 nice school mackerel, love Straddie so much.

Huge waste cutting fillets. Cutlets way better for mackerel.

I had a sinker down the bottom. Like a paternoster rig. Worked well.

Great vid. I’m heading that way next weekend. Wondering if you weight that livie rig or just let them swim around. Did you cast it out?

I threw my Iivey on a pananosta set up with a weight. But you can also throw weightless livey's out but the current runs pretty quick. Depends how they are feeding that day...good luck!

Thanks mate. I'm going to have to sleep in the boat one night. Would be good to drop a few liveys down during the night somewhere. I'd probably lay a bit of ply down to make a base!
