    Would you swim here? No mate I wouldn't swim anywhere in AU unless it was a swimming pool and even then there's people who have woken up to find a Croc in their swimming pools. Ya not even safe on land. Here's a small list of what AU has to offer, respect them at a distance! White sharks, Bull Sharks, Tiger Sharks, Blue Ringed Octopus, Box Jellyfish, Cone Snails, Tiger Snake, Red Back Spider, Sydney Funnel Web Spider, Stonefish, Brown Snake, Inland Taipan, Gators and Salt Water Crocs, Irukanji Jellyfish, Death Adder, Red Bellied Black Snake, Yellow Bellied Sea Snake, Blue Bottle, Highland Copperhead, Lionfish, Bull Ant, Giant Centipede. And these are just some of the ones I can remember I am sure it goes way higher when this list would cover as far a field as Tics also. I mean you can't go about life worrying what might be under each stone you encounter but still the fact remains you need to be extra careful in certain places opposed to others.

      @Sharpshooter99100 I'm just saying nope you wouldn't get me going anywhere near the ocean and or poking my hands in many places in AU.

      @@TheDemonGamerOfFleetStreet Yes Australia definitely can be dangerous. I once saw a brown snake, strewn over a walking track. Lucky i stopped a few meters from it as i noticed it, and it slithered into a dead tree hollow. You'd never know it was in there!. And brown snake is amongst the deadliest in the world! Many venomous spiders here too, very common!

      @Sharpshooter99100 oh so are you from AU then? Am I talking to a Ozzy here? If so then big love brother. Australia is such a lovely place I think Britain got it wrong, they should have made Britain into this penal colony they talk of and moved sticks to AU instead of staying in Britain 😂. That's just a joke but it's the weather I mean it's beautiful. Here's the thing I love all nature even the dangerous ones like white sharks, Bulls, Tigers both in water and land, crocs, red backs, Sydney Funnel Webs I love them all they fascinate me they always have, but from a distance. I would move there to AU tomorrow if I could, I wouldn't swim in the ocean still though and I would be shaking my shoes out every morning that's for sure. Hey did you ever see that old codger walking down the street that kicked that snake outta the way? Sure it was AU too. That guy didn't give a hoot he looked down on that thing and he shoed it off twice with his foot? Couldn't believe it the guy was in his 70s or 80s and he was like geeeed oooooutta my wayyy I'm going for my morning paper. No joke bro lol

      @@TheDemonGamerOfFleetStreet Yes i live in Straya!
      Oz is beautiful, i was in London till around 10yrs ago then made it over here. The weather is good most of the time, but we have our own set of problems too, bushfires, heatwaves and drought, and some extreme floods. Winter can be cold depending on where you live. I'm in the South, and winter does get cold but not to extent of the UK. But we never think it gets cold when in England and don't hear of it!
      I did see that old fella video where the dude kicks the brown snake out of the way, i think if he knew what he was messing with, he'd neve have done it! Funny old world! I'd just walk away or stand still if i saw a snake, not worth messing with these things!
      I've seen funnel webs and red backs. Funnel webs are scary looking. I'd be happier is its dead, than looking at me!

Some of the bulls we see while spearing on the reefs a lot of them you would have a hard time getting them in your boat let alone the net. Keep up the good work 👍

    I got ramed by a 10foot bull shark while spear fishing in the nambucca river had my bag of fish tied to my hip and was coming up for a breath and all of a sudden I got ramed in the back of my legs as I hit the surface,
    My legs got pushed forwards i looked down an was like fuck
    An seen the bastard swimming back down deep I got straight out of the water
    It was bloody full grown bull shark dont like spear fishing in the nambucca river any more

      @@BrisVegasFishing next time you go shark fishing wrap a little copper wire around the hook. The salt water with different metals making contact produces an electrical field. Sharks can detect it quite well and will hit harder and more often. I’ve caught some around 3 meters long using that method. Where I grew up we get some pretty big ones. Last month they caught and tagged a great white 4.27 meters and weighed 1270 kilos.

    • @BrisVegasFishing
      @BrisVegasFishing  Месяц назад

      Depends on the size of the bait normally. If it’s a big mullet I’ll rig it through the nose, but normally go through just behind the stomach to allow the bait to swim a bit more freely.

    Maybe you should use heavier gear if your targeting sharks so you don't keep leaving hooks in an important part of the river eco system. The bull sharks aren't too interested in people they like mullet. A bit further along the river i used to water ski in the 80s & 90s, loads of people used to ski & float about in the river in those days. We used to ski & swim all afternoon a few days a week till 7.30pm & just float down the river in our wet-suits for hours sometimes on the weekends well into the dark.
    The only time i ever had a problem was during the day a large shark hit me in the chest while floating in the river at 17 mile rocks & that put me off a bit.
    Two weeks later a 14 foot Tiger shark was caught under the Centenary bridge. So man eaters are there but if they were hungry i think they would have eaten me long ago.
