  • Here is a great traditional wet fly pattern, the March Brown. The March Brown is one of the first wet fly patterns I learned to tie and fish. In this video I stray from the standard recipe a little bit to show that your can get similar results by using what you have when you don't have what the standard calls for. Please subscribe to my RUclips channel and like us on Facebook. As always the material used in this video can be purchased from our website, holsingersflyshop.com.

    Shawn,
I am a regular viewer of your videos. Thank you for your efforts in making them new and interesting. I particularly appreciate how you suggest aleternative matierials to use on various flies. As you know each fly uses new and different matierials which the average tyer may not have on hand. Keep up the good work.

Great video I like the materials used on this wet fly. Brahma hen is a favorites of mine also. I also like the idea of the PT wings.

Great fly . Nice tie. Great video. It's March and I will try this on the McKenzie hatch in a few weeks! I like the pheasant wing. The slightly ragged edge of the wing I think adds to the attractiveness of this fly. I'm going to use red thread and copper wire instead and tinsel. Why not?

Certainly nothing wrong with those substitutions.
