Nice..not to be critic...but i se you use a lot of bindingtread in beginning on the hook..is that needed?

Thank you, I don't understand what you mean by bindingtread ?

Smashing little pattern Mak. How would you fish this yourself? Oddly I haven’t fished too many wet flies on still water, mainly dries and buzzers/larva patterns but I think I’m dropping the ball. This is one I’ll definitely give a go at tying. As always thanks for posting bud

      Hi Junior,,
Basically you can fish just like any other Wet Fly, I normally fish on my local Reservoir or River When there is a Hatch of ( Mayfly ), I use it on point with small Buzzer or Spider
      Cheers Mak

Makflies Gentlemen thank you. Just wasn’t sure if you were using anything else in combination with it or just as a solo

Hi Mak. I need your help. I’m looking for some really nice Wood Duck Feathers with fibers that are at least 1” to 1-1/8” in length.
I bought the ones Hareline sells and it’s rubbish. I’m using it for tying wings starting at the bead extending to about at least 1/2” to 5/8” past the hook bend. The hook I’m using is a Daiichi 1550 size 10, to tie something like the kind of flies you’ll see on a Sabiki Rig, so I can catch Makeral Scad here in Hawaii.
What would you recommend. It doesn’t have to be Wood Duck but I kinda like the looks of it especially the Wood Duck Gold,Tan, & Natural colored ones.
    Thankyou, & Aloha!🌴🎣🐟

Thank you Kent, I think if you contact Lakeland fly tying they sell good Feathers in UK, you can also use Mallard Bronze for the Pattern, as for me I just match the colours and use any suitable colours, :)), you can also buy it from Veniards,
