Thanks for playing SUMMER NIGHT, squad! Y'all are the best. I've been struggling working on FAITH: Chapter III today and y'all's reactions helped remind me why I do this ^_^
hey when guys are done give "in sound mind" a try the demo came out and it's amazing it's over 2 hours long and it's made by the same people who made nightmare house
I love the fact that they were mocking the concept and the reading at first, and then as they played the game, it slowly got to them in exactly the way that had been described.
Haha yeah that was fun. The instructions I gave to the voice actor was to try to read it like a guy that hasn’t gotten a good night sleep in a week and is at the end of his rope trying to explain why he just can’t relax. It fits into the package’s meta story :)
Ted Hentschke I came to this video just to check out the meta story XD I started the second to watch that game, and then the note with the voice over popped up and I needed to see the start
I remember like the other year he joked on the chilluminati podcast with Alex and Jesse and mathas bout doing a tiger handheld and he goes and does it,. Absolute lad
I didn't feel scared throughout this video, then 10 minutes after I finished watching it, at 11:15 at night, I suddenly thought "is the front door locked?" I spent the next few minutes power walking through my house having switched all the lights on, checking every window and door was locked and looking over my shoulder at every turn. THAT is good horror ladies and gentleman, Airdorf you're the fckin man 👏👏👏
This episode is 1091 seconds long, 55 of which were spent questioning the enthusiasm of Jesse's intro. Therefore, 5.04% of this episode was dedicated to Davis's existential crisis
I always think these games won't be as scary when I listen to the sgs play them, I am so wrong. I wonder if there is a different ending or secrets if you get a certain score.
I remember when Airdorf was a guest on the Chilluminati podcast and he mentioned that one day he has to make a tiger handheld horror game and lo and behold, here we are.
"You're wasting your life, Episode. You'll never amount to anything. Why can't you get into med school like your cousin? You're a disappointment to your mother and I." There Davis, I prepped it for you.
normally i just watch on my laptop sound up but i plugged headphones in for this one and got DAMN the sound design on this game is so so excellent. This dude is a minimalist genius.
IT APPEARED IN A DIFFERENT SPOT THAN WHEN GAB PLAYED IT!!! I THOUGHT I WAS READY KNOWING HOW THIS GAME WAS AND WHERE TO BLOCK THE SCREEN WITH MY HANDS BUT IT CHANGED!
It's so familiar, like being a kid again, sneaking at night and playing pixel games in small handheld consoles, doing all those repetitive tasks. It's the conditioning of those repetitive gameplay mixed with nostalgia that when small things change, it becomes uncomfortable and your brain starts freaking out.
It's funny when your set-up/house layout makes it impossible for scary game sounds to be real. Like knocking on the left? That's an outside wall and I'm on the second floor. Someone on the porch? Of course, I live in an apartment and my neighbor leaves from there all the time. Behind me? Nah son that's a wall.
So usually not scared by the horror games, but i was wearing headphones this time and omg i had to pause to check my windows, i was beyond unsettled 😩🤣
Had to stop eating cause the ambiance was terrifying me and I was afraid to get scared and choke to death lmao airdorf is so great right when Jesse yelled "auuuugghh"
Yesssssss I'm so excited you're playing the Dread X Collection! There are a couple of games in here I'm really looking forward to seeing you guys play.
I have never screamed before now. I still get scared and I yell things like "WHAT THE HECK GOOO!" when watching movies at home, but this is the first time I've genuinely screamed. That was really good!
I know! When I found out about this game I hoped they’ll pick it up. I know they’ll try to dig deep and there’s some games on here I need to see that SGS spirit of discovery on.
Oh look, all my favorite games in the one place: Scythe, Day of the Dead, NBC Hannibal's Wendigo, Portal, a cow, Talon from Overwatch, The Church, and a Sharingan
@@sarahyeahyeahh1 : ( please...why did you have to wink at me about your short thick vomit... i don't know if it's a threat or flirting... i'm not sure which would be worse XD
I'm 100% with Davis on his feelings about that read. It started out good then he started pushing it way too hard and took me right out of it. I was like "alright buddy" and that's all I could think about. Otherwise though, awesome game. Can't wait to see the other teasers!
I agree with Davis tbh. The message was supposed to make you generally creeped out by being alone, not like that actual reader was.going to come stab you. He sounded unhinged and that's kinda unnecessary.
I won’t lie: the sound design from this game makes me really wish that the Videogame called Scratches was still available to be bought and played, as that game only existed to provide the player with all sorts of super scary background sounds
I'll be honest. I didn't actually expect there to be anything in the house at the end. I was pretty sure it'd entirely be in the player's head to freak themselves out about exploring the house after hearing all those noises.
Man, I fucking love Scary Game Squad. I have all your merch. Please, please do this more regularly, open up a patreon for SCG, I'll support the fuck out of it.
Wow less than a minute in and I am so fucking jazzed. This is probably gonna be a really exciting episode. (Edit:) Holy shit this actually was scary as shit. It's mid day and I am so uncomfortable now.
Timmy was the little guy in Passions. Timmy was originally a doll created by the town witch Tabitha as a sidekick in her various evil schemes against the people of Harmony.

♥️
Thank you for your amazing games!
Huge thanks to you for making these games! they're incredible, can't wait to see more!
Thank you for making some of the best horror experiences in gaming.
Airdorf Games thank you for making these types of amazing horror games
And. Here. We. Go!
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
WE NEED MORE!!!!!!
I will never look at these kinda games the same way again XD Definitely do the other playable teasers, that was awesome!
That battery timer... session length vibes.
hey when guys are done give "in sound mind" a try the demo came out and it's amazing it's over 2 hours long and it's made by the same people who made nightmare house
I love the fact that they were mocking the concept and the reading at first, and then as they played the game, it slowly got to them in exactly the way that had been described.
ikr! I thought it was a bit of karma, but then again..... I swore someone was behind me....
Haha yeah that was fun. The instructions I gave to the voice actor was to try to read it like a guy that hasn’t gotten a good night sleep in a week and is at the end of his rope trying to explain why he just can’t relax. It fits into the package’s meta story :)

Airdorf could put a single pixel on a screen and make it terrifying.
Looks like he noticed this comment on twitter!
It's true
man, this airdorf guy really knows how to make something so simple scary huh. i love his "retro" style as well, both in faith and this.
It goes to show that real horror can be made with just an amazing concept and direction. His work is simple yet extremely effective.
I remember like the other year he joked on the chilluminati podcast with Alex and Jesse and mathas bout doing a tiger handheld and he goes and does it,. Absolute lad
He's got that Lumpy Way of approaching things.
Airdorf actually made a horror Tiger handheld game like he joked about on Chilluminati
When the dude reading that letter at the beginning asked me if I had remembered to lock the front door, I realized I hadn’t.
Thanks, man!
Airdorf's sound design never fails to scare

I did that in broad damn daylight, after 12 hour night shift. What an intense game
I don't say this lightly but Airdorf is an actual genius
How does Airdorf manage to consistently scare the shit out of me every damn time 💀😖
More please! ❤
Word
This episode is 1091 seconds long, 55 of which were spent questioning the enthusiasm of Jesse's intro. Therefore, 5.04% of this episode was dedicated to Davis's existential crisis
Love that you did the math, but I think we both know that bare minimum 98% of this episode was dedicated to Davis’ existential crisis.
I mean, wow. I appreciate the accuracy. But..
You could have also just said 1 minute / 18 minutes. 1/18'th devoted to Davis crisis. xD
@@dishpitfreak I feel like that rate applies to most of the things Davis collaborates on.
SGS *and* an Airdorf game? My weekend just improved instantly.
In true Airdorf fashion, made me tense the whole of ride. I love it
For something so simple it was highly effective. Well done Airdorf, you know your craft well.
*Opening narration describes an exact issue I have with paranoia and anxiety*
Me at 3:24 A.M : I'M SURE THIS'LL BE FINE
This game shows how important sound is for games.
This reminds me of that House Abandon part of Stories Untold and I love it.
Not gonna lie, love the narrator's voice I would listening to a horror podcast with him.
Same. I mean I don’t listen to podcasts but I could imagine them doing horror stories in ASMR or something
I always think these games won't be as scary when I listen to the sgs play them, I am so wrong. I wonder if there is a different ending or secrets if you get a certain score.
These sounds actually creeped me out. Especially with how my cat was reacting and how they continued after I paused the video.
I remember when Airdorf was a guest on the Chilluminati podcast and he mentioned that one day he has to make a tiger handheld horror game and lo and behold, here we are.

13:29 “Fuck you Moon” The under-appreciated sequel to “Goodnight Moon”
Somehow this is the scariest game yall have played in a long time xD Great show!
normally i just watch on my laptop sound up but i plugged headphones in for this one and got DAMN the sound design on this game is so so excellent.
I really hope Airdorf makes this into a full game! This and SHATTER show the most promise out of any of the Dread X Collection 1 games.
This was really good, simple as hell but the sound design and then the end. That's good scary game design.

Bold of you to assume whoever's knocking can't fly
Legitimately screamed at the "Flesh Tower" behind the sofa! Good job Airdorf and thanks SGS!
16:09 I just couldn't help but applaud, god it's so good how the climax got set up! I'm really looking forward to the others now
I can't recall even a triple A game that has done sound design as good as this.
"OH NO! DOOKIE TIME!" is my new favorite quote.
Oh! I've missed you guys! Jesse and Alex singing and talking about Passions. I needed this right now. Thank you!
I don't know how, but I still manage to get everyone's voice mixed up except Jesse's after all these years.
God, same
These old style games always get me for some reason, maybe it's the jerky movement or the sounds but they ALWAYS get me
"...where nothing scary happens."
LIES! ALL LIES!
This brings back memories of untold stories.
this game legit gave me flashbacks to my childhood. I had a portable system of this style but it was for battleship. I played alot of battleship.
Man I used to love the Tiger electronic games as a kid. I knew a kid who had one of the watches, and I thought it was so cool.
Yeeees!!! My favorite boy band is back!!!’ ❤️
Mine too
Airdorf Games ❤️❤️❤️
s. g. s. alraight!
crazy how the simple graphics / style of it totally works. The sounds!
Man I actually checked every single door and window in my house! I am bugging out! Incredible little game.
And airdorf shows us that scary can come from anything - fancy graphics and gimmicks truly aren’t necessary. Obsessed with this mans talent
Oh thank god. The boys are back!
Last time I was this early to a squad video, Davis was Australian
So usually not scared by the horror games, but i was wearing headphones this time and omg i had to pause to check my windows, i was beyond unsettled 😩🤣
I'm watching this in daylight and the noises still makes me look behind my back 😆
Airdorf is the master of making something so simple the most terrifying thing possible.
I am truly in awe of your talent. A true fear artist
Had to stop eating cause the ambiance was terrifying me and I was afraid to get scared and choke to death lmao airdorf is so great right when Jesse yelled "auuuugghh"

DUUUDE that's the narrator from Reciever 2! I love his voice and how he expresses each line!
I have wanted to buy the DVD set for Passions if it ever existed.
As a kid, I spent my summers at my gradma's watching Passions XD
The town!!! The boys are back in it!
I wouldn’t mind seeing more titles from Airdorf, always such great content.
This game shows that horror can be done very well in small bites with few resources.
I played a million of these little games as a kid and I'd have shit my pants at this as a kid.
Yeeees I'm so happy they're covering this.
I know! When I found out about this game I hoped they’ll pick it up. I know they’ll try to dig deep and there’s some games on here I need to see that SGS spirit of discovery on.
I think it’ll be a good idea to put my tea down while watching this. You know just in case.
Good move
Oh look, all my favorite games in the one place: Scythe, Day of the Dead, NBC Hannibal's Wendigo, Portal, a cow, Talon from Overwatch, The Church, and a Sharingan
Wow watching with headphones on is a ton creepier 😱
I literally wanted to vomit I am so excited these boys are back! SHORT BUT THICK BBY

Always good to see the squad back at it
Yayyyyyyy they are back in action once again!!!!

"do you think theres a funky monkey in this house?"-Jesse Cox 2020
I might just start saying this whenever I enter a house
amazing how something so simple and unremarkable to look at, at first glance can get so creepy if you just do sound design REALLY well.
Airdorf always impresses; such a nice short little game here!
13:31 sgs really pulling a 'didn't hear no fear' on the demon breath huh
I had a sonic McDonald game I played all the time in elementary I miss those days 😢
I got asmr from the heavy breathing and scary 3D noises LMAO
Never mind the whole video, Davis in the beginning is mood!
I agree with Davis tbh. The message was supposed to make you generally creeped out by being alone, not like that actual reader was.going to come stab you. He sounded unhinged and that's kinda unnecessary.

Dread X gonna give it to ya!
There’s no feeling like seeing a new Jesse Cox video
These sprite games were so awesome. The batman returns one. Oh boy.
Airdorf, the Madlad! He did it again!
That's what I call starting off on a high note
Sassmode Davis just always is the best content.
wow... this super gave me the heebee jeebees... great job Airdorf Games!

I got some Adam West vibes when the note at the beginning was read. RIP Mr. West.
Soda for lunch?! That's some real horror there.
Knocking scared the hell out of me
