Love the Chibsons. I have 5! 3 LPs and 2 SGs. All needed a little work, but after $70 in GFS pups, a $25 bridge, and an $10 nut, they sound and play so well!
I totally agree! And the extra work doesn´t bother me, I just think its fun and it makes the bond between player/instrument that much stronger.

I had a 2013 Gary Moore l.p. and they do have binding that's aged (yellowed) it does blend into the color making it harder to identify.
Allright, I was refering to this article, se link below. Thats the "Gary Moore LPS". However, even thought the article says no binding, if I look at the pictures of it it looks like there is a yellowed binding, so I guess you´re right!

There is no binding on the 2013 Gary Moore LP, on the body nor the neck
I got one. It looks great, it didn’t sound terrible out of the box with the garbage pickups and strings. But no matter what I did the intonation was TERRIBLE. I changed the bridge and worked on it for hours and I could not get it to sound right.
I’m sorry for that. My guitars have been ok to intonate. Have you checked your scale length?

I ordered this same guitar & I also have the Epiphone Greeny, & I have to say they are completely different guitars understandably. The main difference is the neck. The Chibson neck is extremely thin, which is ok, while the Epi neck is a medium thickness. I really like the Chibson though. The routing is super clean, the fret nibs are extremely well done & the cream binding color is closer to a real Gibson with its slightly pinkish hue, that none of my other Chibsons have. The relicing is ok, it was supposed to be nitro as well, but it is not. I changed the tuners, pickups & electronics. The nut, bridge, & switch/jack were fine. Got the frets leveled & set up, & now it’s a serious player. My Epi Greeny is an awesome guitar as well. The Greenybuckers sound awesome. I got the Epi, cuz I collect signature models, so it’s a must have for my collection, but I’ll play the Chibson more
Yes, no doubt that Cibbys and Epi´s are different beasts. I kinda like both but with Chibsons there´re more options and at a slightly cheaper cost.

Thanks for inspiring me! I’ve ordered many Chibsons over the years, & used to have a channel like yours(not as good) called Squazzoo68! Rock on my Swedish brother! I am of partly Swedish descent 🙂

Mine was delivered just after Christmas. It’s great. Plays well but needs a little set up and new strings. I might upgrade the pickups and electronics. We’ll see how it goes.

By the time you're finished, you will have a better playing and sounding guitar than the Epi Greeny at 1/3 the price.
Yeah, I probably will. This is a one piece body and neck with a veneer top. Definitely up there with the Epi. The pickups are not great but I will swap them (video coming). I´ll also put in CTS pots and that will put the total cost for the guitar right around 450 dollars. That´s a bargain!

@@SpinGoldmusicOH, nay not my SpinGold friend. You would have been right ~10 years ago, but times have changed. Nearly 80% of the guitar's made in China, including Epiphone, are made in Zheng'an in Guizhou. With modern CNC machining the quality of these guitars has improved leaps and bounds. Yeah, you can order one made of firewood, but you can also order one piece bodys and necks of high grade woods. They really are a great platform for rip and replace DIYers to get a low cost great guitar.
However, yeah, firewood resale value.

The plastics on all those Chibson greenies are pretty awful but the stock pickups can be better than you would think. No long neck tenon, no maple cap- maybe they will get that stuff figured out next year. Every year they get more accurate. That's a terrific price on those Korean bridges .
In my oppinion, the wood and set-up of the Chibbys are great, right up there with much more expensive guitars. The tuners is a 50-50. Some are really great, Grover rotomatics and the Greeny ones works fine, but the Gibson Deluxe are awful. I really like the bridge I found on AliExp, 3,5 dollars for a working bridge is nothing more than a bargain!

I have a few of these, alpine white, black, I have a tiger burst on its way and have a slash anaconda burst which was suppose to be a different finish, but looks awesome all great guitars so far as a hobby player I look forward to playing all of them

Well damn. Looks like a really nice guitar. The biggest thing is the rhythm humbucker isn't turned backwards. That's one of the most obvious things on the greeny. But i think you have a good piece of wood there.
I totally agree, the wood work is exellent! And that´s the most important part. The other parts you can change out. And even if you put high end pups on a Chibby you can always swap them out again if you want. The value on the accessories is still intact :)
I've had 3 guitars from Cathy, including a custom built 1972 Les Paul Deluxe, she got the front & rear burst perfect & included the neck volute.

What do they know about the Greeny, if the neck pickup isn't reversed? If you don't choose that guitar, may I please buy it? The top sure is looking good!
The more I played the guitar the more I liked it. I’ve decided ti keep it. But if you want one, ask Cathy. She made mine (it turned out). But ask for pictures before shipping so you get what you want!

i recently got a chibby LP in "ice tea burst" and popped in some vanson59s from the UK...figured peter green is from the UK so its proper to have pups from there as well!
this one is made to look like greeny when it was newer...neck pup wired backwards and flipped for authenticity...plus i "staggered" both pups like peter had his...
sounds sweeet too! only thing i need to correct is adding thumbwheels under the bridge....film coming soon!

It accually was a Cathy guitar. I bought it from AliExpress and the shop there was called something completely different. When I reached out to them about getting the wrong guitar, Cathy answered me.

Yes, i just found Fulton Street Beats a couple weeks ago and it has become my favorite Channel. I actually ordered the Zakk Wylde replica 'Odin Grail' after seeing his review and i just received it last week. It is an amazing guitar. I just ordered the Black Beauty Les Paul replica and am awaiting it now. He tells it like he sees it and i like that. Looking forward to watching your reviews as well. Thanks.

Very nice looking guitar! That sticker on the top of the logo is the same as the one I got on mine. Speaking of which, I finally got my guitar back from the luthier, it plays amazing now! I also got a refund from Aliexpress so I didn't really have to pay anything extra.
I'll definitely change the pickups, the ones in the guitar are way too hot for my taste 😅. The bridge and tuners I'll probably change at some point as well.

Yeah, you´re right. Cathy is my go-to builder. It took me a while to figure it out but from now on I´ll use her. Great seller! I´ve got a ES-345 and two acoustic coming from her. Don´t miss those videos!

Something is really off with your guitar like that bridge.. but those fretnibs that impressed me.. overall I don't know if it compares to a real 1959 burst but if you like it that's all that matters.
It probably does not compare to the real ’59. But it’ just a fraction of the price. I get them to have fun with them, not to put them in a vault, haha! 😊
I want to get into the Chibson world. I have NO problem with Chibsons AT ALL. I love to tinker with my guitars so I wont be spending $1000s on something I will be taking apart and messing with a lot. I just have no clue how and where. I know allie (😉) but I have trust issues and don't trust the reviews anymore. If anyone can give me a walk through or a specific seller? I dunno, I am really happy that the quality of these have gotten so good and in some cases can go up against the big names.
I only shop via AliExp. It has worked without a problem so far. Even orders that I´ve cancelled has been refunded without any issues. Based on my own experience I can recommend Ali. You should contact Cathy when you shop there. She is a great seller. Tell her that I sent you. Here´s a link:

How is the neck thickness? Playbility?
It´s a narrow neck. I should say a ´60 style. The playability is really good. The only thing I had to do was lowering the bridge (to set it to my preference).

I know it s a relic but the finsh is terrrible I will not be getting a relic thanks for showing. It should not have heavy sanding marks even file marks that is terrrible the head stock look like termites have eaten it litltle trails. Thanks for this video.

Particularly when whoever is cutting the nuts for Cathy, does a MUCH nicer job of properly cleaning up after, than the entitled Gibson "QC" people? Expose, yes please do expose.
My Gibby nut was cut very clean but I’ve seen horrible examples online. All in all, that’s not qc…
It's not a Cathy guitar but the nut is STILL cleaner than the nut on the actual Gibson SG the guy from Fulton Street Beats bought & reviewed! Unbelievable!
Accually, after the video was made I found out that it IS a Cathy guitar 😂
