- Choosing the right dog harness, collar, or leash can be a bit overwhelming. After all, there are so many different combinations and kinds to choose from. Well, while there’s no single “best” choice for all dogs, there’s an easy way to find the right answer for YOUR dog. Dr. Gary Richter makes it easy by breaking down the pros and cons of different dog harnesses, collars, and leashes, so you can make the right choice for your canine companion. Excellent video doctor good information. I personally know a dog who was older that had serious neck injuries from a collar set up. My main concern for my German shepherd who six is that the collar Is dependable and won’t break I use a Cannondale style but I think I’m going to switch to a harness. Always concerned about the neck. Thank you Allan Los Angeles
great ideas thanks for the info
You're most welcome! We're glad you found this helpful!
We had to get one because she had an embalisim in one of her legs (that just rarely randomly happens with dogs) she is walking relatively fine now for physical therapy
This is a serious issue if your dog pulls your right you can't use a collar it will damage their neck. My mom's dog Toby poor little guy was a serious puller and by the time he was 12 and needed important dental attention was diagnosed with a collapsed treachea and could not receive he's needed dental and went on a downward spiral and lived till he was 14. Thanks for bringing this to attention
Conclusion: train your dog
Harness is used for work not walking. Anyways, always control the head is your not doing bite work. Big dogs should never be on a flex leash.
There is always something to discourage your dog from pulling regardless of what they are wearing. You! Stop letting them. Change direction or simply stop.
The harness destroys my dog’s beautiful fur.
same.. :(
My pitbulls are strong but I don't regret abandoning collars. They can drag me all day it's fine 😂😂.
