Love your work and the videos. I recently purchased this pattern today and am putting a mock up together. Did you know there aren't and even number of holes on the back plate? The main piece has 10 holes, and one has 8 holes and the other has 9. The holes on your pattern aren't matching at all.I am toooootally confused on how to put this together.
Is there something I'm missing or is there an update to this pattern. Can't wait to find out how to fix this and wear my awesome armor.

I'm thinking about doing this but using button snaps on the retaining straps so that the top and bottom can be worn separately.

Very interesting build! Is it inadvisable to make this with no dye, just the natural color of the leather and a clear sealer?

I think that is fine too if the natural color is what you like.

It's an option but know that natural leather color will darken over time, especially with exposure to sun/uv

@@Princearmory Right, gotcha! I had a nice leather jacket for many years, but I left it over the summer in the back seat of my car and the sun bleached parts of the black jacket white.

I'm curious, did the crinkling on the leather for the right cup happen because the leather was too wet when being worked, or does that mean the design may need an extra cut there to accommodate the curving? Thanks for the videos. They have inspired me to try and make leather items. I'm going to attempt to make a large weapons belt for my dwarf fighter cosplay.

The crinkling is just from the area of the hide the piece was cut from (around the neck area of the hide.)

Where do you find or what should we be searching for to get something like the small metal on wood half dome or the raised dome? I can't for the life of me find them anywhere online or at leatherworking shops..

How to scale up the armor for women with extra large "milk jugs"?

Depends on how large, you would have to modify the pattern for something crazy but for the vast majority of ladies this will fit as is because there's ample internal volume. The cup 'size' has more to do with aesthetics/style so if you want something more visually pronounced our imperial series has a more endowed female design, and the fantasy series is somewhere in between, this design for the Warrior series is meant to be a little more grounded and neutral.

...I am just not trying to make a joke about the breastplate being different ...size on the left and right sides.
