    Would adding a brass border to most of the peices reduce the flexibility? Such as each peice in the body. Or does the flexibility come from the articulating peices?

    • @Princearmory
      @Princearmory  2 года назад

      Probably not. Flexibility comes mostly from articulation, and to some extent the inherent flexibility of the leather, but I don't think a border would hurt mobility much if any.

    Thankyou for sharing. A lot of work goes into leather. Modern day leathers are very fine fabric. Also lovely colours. Years ago l did a lot of voluntary charity work. A ancient Roman site, was once a tannery, where the leather went through many processes. The back of the skins, were scraped, then was dipped in dyes. A nearby well was being investigated, as health and safety concerns, about dangerous bacteria, related to tannery and glues. Today we are fortunate, that modern day leather, has been made with strict health and safety guide lines. Many armour being made, to enable charity events of medieval battles, to entertain, educate public, while raising money to explore historical sites. Best wishes for your future videos. ☺️🌈

    Quick question... I am wanting to purchase that apprenticeship bundle, however I'm waiting until after my 2 big artisan events I have coming up to get it (hopefully ill have an extra K or 2), however around then I am going to be making a tandy run (nearest store is almost 150miles away) and I would like to have all the leather, hardware, and dyes on hand for when I finally start it, do you by chance have something of a shopping list avalible for the hardware (Sizes/ amount), and leather that you recommend? Ether way im going to get a rather large amount of spare hardware because I only make a tandy run every few months, and I don't want to have to put something like this on a backburner because "im short 1 buckle, or a preffered size of rivet".

    How hot does it generally get wearing one of these full leather suits. Say during a 100 degree day.

    its gonna be really hard tho

    • @Princearmory
      @Princearmory  3 года назад

      It's possible to do. Just make sure to properly prototype the design with paper or cardboard first to dial in your fit, metal is much less flexible compared to leather so not a lot of wiggle room if fit is off. And you need to fit it over some kind of gambeson or arming jacket for comfort. Good luck.

    You have always been amazing and were a cut above most. I started building armor for myself back when you were working with the Goblin king .. I didn't follow through with dreams of leather working , I am glad to see you followed through using your great talent . Always loved your work .. and are very happy to see you helping others to learn from someone as good as you . I hope some day we could meet , especially since we are both from Houston .. keep up the good work and thank you.
