Thanks so much for the video. I managed to take my bumper off thanks to your video. Mazda parts cost a fortune here in the UK - small pieces of plastic £20 and a screw £3 - daylight robbery - no wonder the insurance company decided to write the car off for what appeared to be minor damage - £1300 later, now I know!
Thank you very much! Yes, that could be the culprit or the hose that connects to the motor might have cracks or damage. If the front end of the car has minimal collision, check for cracks on the washer tank reservoir. That can also be a possible cause.
Hi. Do you think can I repair the leak of my wiper water tank by just removing the black part beside the tire? Or do I need to remove the bumper as well? Mazda 2 as well. Same unit.
Muchas gracias también. Sí, es necesario quitar el parachoques si necesita cambiar la bocina. In English translation: Thank you very much too. Yeah, removing the bumper is needed if you need to change your horn.
thank you very much! Very useful! so many bolts and clips to remove with variable sizes. Question: Im planning to replace the stock horn. Can this be done without removing the bumper? Can those black plastic covers above the bumper be removed to have access to the horn?
Sorry for the late response. Unfortunately, I haven't got the chance to inspect the underneath of those upper black plastic covers to determine if it is possible to remove it. Even so, I would still recommend to remove the whole bumper so that you can gain more access and space. I believed that the upper plastic part are held by some plastic clips but it is not worth trying since these are delicate and hard to remove too. Thank you very much!!
Hi sir, sorry for the late response. Actually you need to remove the bumper first because the bumper is attached to the headlight itself via plastic clip. You will see a gray square plastic piece which is locked into the headlight assembly. Also, I couldn't remember that much but I saw that the lower part of the headlight assembly is attached to the chassis. As far as I remember, it is bolted. Perhaps you can try to remove half of the fender liner and remove some parts there. Maybe that could help you gain some space for you to remove that LED bulb.
Sorry for the late response bro. Based upon inspection, there are screws at the back of the bumper. I'm not sure if that will separate the chrome part but, you can try to remove the screws. Probably there are clips there and hopefully it would separate from the bumper. Sorry for that bro, I could not assure you since its been a long time since I removed the bumper and I did not inspect the details at the back of the bumper.
Do you have a workshop manual for this car, or was this just applied guesswork? I'm asking because I can't find a workshop manual for the car. Also, why are the fog light housings wired up if they have no lights in them?
Hi sir! Currently I don't have one. Most of the time we do it in our own ways. Applied guesswork hehe. It's hard to find a workshop manual since the car is still relatively new. Unlike older cars, you can find it everywhere in the internet. About the wires on the fog light housing, it is a reserved wire for the fog lights. Just like in other vehicles, you can find some harness connected without an actual unit. The fog lights for this car is optional and you can use those wires whenever you install a fog lights. Basically, you have to add more stuffs like relays and switches. Just trace the connection of the wires to make sure that you can connect it to your added stuffs and accessories. Also, manufacturers produces pretty much the same wire harness for all models, except for the higher trim models which have extra harness for added accessories.
