Vettes I've worked on, not metal fenders, I watched your video about 3 times tackled this on my 2000 avalon, it had a bad hit behind pass headlight, Besides some small brackets behind the hit that got bent and had to be bent back and not to brag with the help of your video it went quick and easy I did it at night in car port with only a little flashlight, okay, I have been working on cars 50 years, but videos like this sure do help, many thanks.

Man This video was detailed and super helpful. My dads tire blew out on the hw at 60mph. Destroyed fender, head light, bumper. and side skirt. Mainly the fender connections. Watching your video i found out that the headlight brackets were also destroyed and that was the most damaged along with the side skirt bolt bent forward. I belive i can straighten out the sideskirt 10mm bolt connection to the new fender. And replace the headlight brakets before installing the new fender.
I'm a fan of trying to fix what I have to stay under budget than buy replacement parts new. The gorilla-glued plastic bracket I used was as good as new. Either way, parts are plentiful for Toyota Camry's because there's so many out there. You can find anything you need used on ebay for a fair price.
How much did he pay to get all that fixed because I have a Nissan my front bumper , left tail light & fender , plus my left wheel is damaged from being hit . My bumper is completely off and the tail light is broken how much did he have to pay ?

Wow best video I have found so far on these front quarter panels. I am trying to remove some car wash brushes that were jammed between the light and quarter panel. This video has given me a starting point as the car is a 2020 Avalon. Thanks again for such a great video giving this hobby mechanic or better yet husband of car owner a fighting chance. @@furtalance_x probably too late now, but look for rust in spare tire, rear of car, under the bumper that is where my 07 went. But really both the 07 and 08 have held up well in terms of rust. I bought the 07 new and ran it like 150K miles or so, it was a good car...better than the 08 and I don't know why. Either way, you keep an eye on oil and freq oil changes, you should be just fine !!
@@DanTheManIOM I live in Canada so rust in a 10+ yr old car is unavoidable. I did manage to change the fender out thanks to your video (I rust proofed it before installing). So the rest of the car does have rust spots which I will fix on my own next summer.

6th Gear Garage I replaced the fender. Unfortunately I couldn’t find the correct color so I had to respray it. It looks a slightly different color to the rest of the vehicle as I painted it with a rattle can. Overall very happy with the outcome though. Thank you again

Recently I had my 2013 Camry's front right fender replaced by a garage, but after the fender replacement I found the gap between the front right fender and the bonet is too wide compared with the front left side. After watching your video and heard that you adjusted the fender gap, now I feel confident that I can adjust the fender gap myself. May I ask if there is anything in particular to pay attention to while adjusting the fender gaps? Thank you in advance.
After adjusting, close the hood and doors very slowly and carefully while watching the gap, so be sure that nothing contacts the fender if it was adjusted too far.
@@6thGearGarage I wish it was that easy, I did that a bunch of times already. Then it pops out of line in a different spot that was tightened down so don't get how it moved. After market junk, just don't line up with all the holes was the start of all these problems, thanks for your thoughts anyway
@@tmiller590 you may have to elongate some of the holes on the fender if the fitment is that bad. Or the car chassis could have been tweaked in an accident.
Super helpful! One thing with the 2015 Kia soul... The bolts on the door are extremely hard to reach! The door is right in the way. I'm sure there's something that makes it easier to get to but I'm not sure what it is.
I haven't worked on a Juke, but I'd look for the bolts in the same places. It might be a little different around the headlight area, as different manufacturers attach them different ways in that area.

Jesus Cedillo The back fender is part of the body and is not removable. It would have to be cut out and a new section welded in. The paint looks the same because it was formulated to match the color code of the OEM paint on the car.
Wait, it's possible to remove fender without removing sill panel, front bumper and the wheel, wheel well liner? Volvo asked to remove them for 2012 XC60.

To adjust, just loosen the bolts and position the fender where you want it, and then tighten the bolts. The bolt holes on the fender are larger to allow for some positioning.
Might I ask where is best place to purchase pre-painted body parts? Oh and your video is great (might want to see if some of those body parts or paint vendors have an affiliate program you could tap into) But seriously, advice on parts? I am needing fender and bumper for 2016 Toyota Rav4.

Specifically in between the door where theres a really tiny Metric Allen wrench that I’ll need to remove but i’m not sure if it’s needs to be removed to remove the fender. PLEASE HELP

Ehsan Shinwari I bought my fender on Amazon. eBay usually has good deals too. For the paint, check your local auto parts stores. They don't have every perfect match color on the shelf, but should be able to special order it if needed.

My 2015 Lexus ct200h seems to have the front left fender welded on in at least one spot so far. Great video though!

You need to loosen all the bolts on the top edge of the fender and push it in a little, then re-tighten them.

It may differ slightly, but most modern vehicles are similar to this.

Sorry, I don't know a lot bout these cars. This is the only Camry I ever had and it was a quick flip.
I ended up using the new/old fender as a map for the parts and the clips fall out... oh well.

I don't know about the Avalon. Some things are probably different, but it's definitely a good starting point.

Yes it was aftermarket. It seemed to fit fine after I adjusted the mounting points.

There are probably some differences since it’s a kia, but some of the bolts will be the same.

The door had to be opened to get to some bolts, but maybe you can cut the fender off to avoid further damage to the door.

I haven't ever worked on the Nissan. You may want to search some forums - there' a lot of good info there.

I have Corolla S 2010 the Driver side fender and Headlight is damage I want to replace it. I will appreciate it if you can give me some important tips and guidance how to replace it. where to buy the fender and paint for it.

Ehsan Shinwari I bought my fender on Amazon. eBay usually has good deals too. For the paint, check your local auto parts stores. They don't have every perfect match color on the shelf, but should be able to special order it if needed.
