another awesome vid guys, makes snaring look like a piece of cake or at least the set ups. In some older vids (diary of a survivalist etc.) you have mentioned using picture hanger wire because it's a little more reusable. reconsidered? great work as always and much appreciated.

Macho Deth that what that wire is. just the non braided stuff. I like this a bit better than braided picture wire hanger.

Thanks. Good video. I was wondering have you ever done a giant one that would take a deer off the ground like the natives did? I haven't seen instructions for something like that before. I was curious because I was wondering about bleedout. I just want to do this to save ammo lol Never was really into trapping much. I like to bleed my animals I butcher really fast after kill. How does this factor in with trapping? I was thinking if I could make a giant spring pole I could get a deer upside down by the legs and come and slit it's throat so it would bleed out good upside down. Is that unheard of ? It seems like a good idea but maybe hard to make happen. Is that a dumb idea? Thought I'd ask someone well versed in this field thanks

Ah, this is extremely helpful since I live in a jungly country, they are full of elastic trees and saplings.

When you cant find a spring pole, you can always use a counter weight as a substitution. Besides, a spring pole may lose its springiness after a while.
