Call audio was fine until upgrade of iOS. Why does every update supplied by Apple make the hardware unusable on older phones? Makes me want to stay clear of Apple products TBH.

As mentioned in the video it requires mainboard work, so it's probably not cost effective to repair

So my phone is stuck on speaker but the second someone picks up, we can’t hear each other. I went to settings and used the bar and went back and forth and I can hear it so i don’t know what the problem is

@@rickstechrepairs yeah. That’s what I was afraid of but trying to see if I could avoid going to a repair shop. Using AirPods for now and it works just fine.

Yo what if the problem keeps happening and you have to keep reseting the network
your would be having a failed cellular chip, basically you will need a new phone
Is there any other way to solve this issue? It didn't work for me since I'm currently using iPhone XS with iOS 15.5. Audio and microphone are clear in every other places, only silent when on telco phone calls. Would appreciate if you explain why this happened to me too.

I'd make calls and couldn't hear people and they couldn't hear me. Forced restart worked for me.

Doesn’t work for me. I have an iphone 7 and an iphone 8, and both phones went on the same day so this is clearly Apple forcing people to upgrade phones. 🤬

Use Bluetooth for calls it will wrk for just a solution

Enough of the stupid solutions of dirty speakers and mics. How about a REAL solution. Network reset clears it temporarily. But it goes back after a short time.
Take it to a local phone repair shop

if that happened i would suspect you would have a faulty motherboard on the phone
i would think bluetooth is also dead
I swear I blamed myself for getting an iPhone to use. It’s very annoying and so stupid. I prefer android uncountable times to this foolish iPhones with so much stress to do any simple fault despite being a phone technician.
