    This video (like the others on the channel) is again of really great value and very thoughtful.
    What I have noticed that makes resting quite difficult is fear of missing out.
    Be it limited time products or more fitting here social interactions and beeing part of the community.
    This sometimes happens to me when I'm away from work.

    Speaking as a viewer myself: Yes, 'viewer burnout' is most definitely a thing lol! As much as I want to keep supporting my favorite streamers, it just really wears on me mentally after a while. Also, sometimes life just really gets in the way. So, streamers: Although seeing a regular viewer dip for a time might seem alarming, just know that your viewers are all individuals, and you don't know what they may have going on in their personal lives. The "ride-or-die" viewers will be back, in their own time, when their ready

    My dad has a saying, "Everyone needs different walls." If you look at the same thing too often, then you start to go crazy. Doesn't matter what it is or how much you like it. Sometimes you just need something different. This hits viewers and streamers equally.

    I get burnt out from my job all the dang time! Sometimes I feel that I'm never NOT burnt out. Sometimes I don't even know I'm burnt out until I find something that re-ignites my passion. Also viewer burn out is something I never thought about, but it makes so much sense. I probably got burnt out with some content creators I follow and didn't even realize it consciously (until now).

But if you don't keep searching for a way to recharge yourself... Burnout is inevitable. So thanks for the vid, the thoughts, and the tips. This video really helped me gain a great perspective not only on content creation itself, but also on my own personal life, especially the mental and physical rest part, staying in one spot for a long time, and also constantly on the know with social media. I will try to take all of these into account for the coming days, and will try to improve myself in the long run!
    I think its really great you are giving these perspectives and thoughts while also doing content creation yourself! Personally, I think this is way more better than any self improvement or therapy channel!

    This video was very helpful! As was the one you linked aswell! And I think my issues are likely related entirely to not getting enough physical, social, creative & spiritual rest... and the things that force me not to rest, like my insecurity about my worthiness as a human being & who I am as a person in terms of my physical appearance & how I sound & other things... other comparisons & expectations... I would totally love to create a technology that lets me become an anime grill & join in with uhh... you know... other people in... productive endeavors...

    I've been burnt out for years just from life in general. It started in high school when i decided to take college classes to get an associates degree before i graduated.
    At the time, i was a 3 sport athlete, along with getting the degree while in high school. Then covid happens, I graduate and head to college to get an engineering degree. I spent all my time either doing school work or working some job either during college or the summer (ever since i was 13, i would work the summer, at least 40 to 50 hours a week so wasn't new to me).
    Now we catch up to the modern day. I graduate college with my degree and minors, get a good job, and want to be stupy for my PE license. Unfortunately, from the burnout, I physically cannot focus anymore on anything i have to do because i haven't gotten a break in years. I can't study anymore, whenever it is educational or some kind of art (which i'm sure my ADHD doesn't help). I never feel motivated or happy anymore from things. I impress people all the time, and they compliment me, but i haven't felt satisfied in years on anything.
    Needless to say, i think they're might just be burnout that never goes away for some people, or they will never get the chance to recover. I know I've been burnt out for years and have never found a way to deal with it. I hate to say it, but i think that maybe the only thing someone can do in life is to keep moving forward.
    I say all this, not trying to be a downer, but for the people that are like me out there. Life and society will keep moving, no matter what you do. If your only option is to keep moving forward, then that's what you do. It may never get better, but the worst thing a person could do is give up and just stop. I'll probably never get the chance to actually get to recover, but i'll keep moving forward because the only other option would be stagnation. Which might be a fate worse than death for some people.

    oh crap, the viewer burnout part… that’s me right now. didn’t even consider that could be a thing, but it makes a lot of sense if I think about it. I’ve barely watched any content from any of my oshis recently, heck I said I was gonna watch the videos on this channel a while back and still haven’t seen many. being a clipper on top of already being a HUGE super-fan for ALL of my favorites really just took me out for this whole summer 🫠 at one point my clips started being less of “aa this is funny, let me clip this!!” to “this is probably the only stream I’ll really watch today, I HAVE to pull something good from this so my channel doesn’t die.” the specific rest thing is interesting, I’ll try to look into that and see what I think would help me most!! thanks for bringing this to my attention cause this really shed a new light on what I’ve been feeling and helped a lot ;w;

    • @koziitwo
      @koziitwo  3 месяца назад +1

      Yeah I've definitely had viewer burnout a lot myself, I have to keep swapping content every once in a while, it's part of why I've never really picked a true oshi. I'd feel bad if I couldn't be there for them aaall the time, even when I know I'm having a moment I need a break.
      The rest part can be hard to figure out for viewer burnout, but I think it can all still be applied! Like, if you need creative rest and your main thing is clipping like you do, maybe it'd be better to find or choose comfort vtubers or streams that you decide you will NOT clip for, and just enjoy consuming the content for a while.
      Either way, I hope it helps out tbh! 🙏 Burnout sucks.

    • @DreamiiChu
      @DreamiiChu 3 месяца назад

      @@koziitwo aa that’s fair about not picking an oshi, I get it… I really feel bad about not showing up recently to many streams, some people I’ve only barely watched in months and I feel bad (including you 😭) ;; I always really enjoy my oshis streams when I join but trying to make myself join is the hardest part I think…
      that’s actually a REALLY good idea about finding a comfort streamer though… I may have to try that, that sounds like it would really help me I think!! probably someone big in numbers so I don’t feel super pressured to clip them to get them support (which happens a lot)… thank you sm for that suggestion!!! burnout does suck ;w;

    Wow! As a viewer, I feel bad many times when there is life to be accomplished, and I leave a stream, I make sure to say thank you to the creator, their moderators, and their time. I've thought to myself that they have many in chat or their subscriptions are growing, so their good. Is this wrong thinking? Too much of the same type of stream, I will take a break as a viewer, too. Is this hurtful, I think it is healthy for streamers and viewers to be willing to understand each side.

    This is a personal problem of mine, but I find it difficult to make myself rest when I'm constantly reminded by myself that my time is limited (death will eventually come and my youth will go away in an instant), and the competition is pretty tough to beat. I always try to overwork myself because my mentality is that time I spend resting is time I'm wasting not doing something that could potentially change my life in the long run. I know I'm wrong about this, but it's hard to change this "habit", if that makes sense...

    • @koziitwo
      @koziitwo  3 месяца назад +2

      Technically, rest doesn't have to be inaction. I think that's the biggest thing you'll have to focus on to help yourself out, when you have that kind of overarching life outlook. You can rest by creating something different, or by doing something more meaningful, or etc. It doesn't always have to be unrelated to what you're trying to rest from, too. Like, for instance, I'm resting from streaming by creating video content. It still overall helps with my chosen profession and has actually been helping a ton with my growth, it's just not the same kind of work I was doing in the same way as before.
      You can try to come up with a couple of things that are your go-to rest ideas, too. Like, when I'm burnt out artistically, I might draw my personal OCs instead of anything work related. I still use them for something important in my life, so there's still merit to drawing them. Or.. if I need a rest from creating content overall, I might watch videos *about* content creation, or about learning things with live2d, and so on. It gives me creative rest because I'm consuming instead of creating, but I'm also still learning.
      Hopefully that kind of thing can help out! It might not work the same for everybody, but I know that's the way I sorta think about it sometimes.

And yeah ngl viewer burn out is a thing ive experienced it with quite a few streamers i watch for me its more so on engagement and playing the same games in the background to whats popular. Honestly I haven’t faced any viewer or creator burn out but I have faced a ton of burn out from my college classes. My college english class has been such a workload for because I have to write so many things for it just to keep up and honestly it’s been burning me out and the reason for that is because I have to write so many things I have literally no interest on and it’s been so boring and just taking a toll on my mental health and I really just wanna get through it and get a good enough grade but it’s really making me question do I wanna keep doing this if I’ll feel like this. Also, for english I’m currently doing this long essay that I literally got 0/100 because my professors AI fact checker counted my work as 67% AI it’s just making me really sad and sort of depressed and panicky that I won’t be able to pass this class. After that happened I just asked myself is it really worth it to do this class if that’ll happen and honestly I’m not sure. I’ve had to blind myself to my room just to keep working on this class and honestly after watching this video I really need to do all seven types of rest. My mental health has really gone down hill as well as my actual health I’ve been feeling a bit sicker than I usually am haha… but no seriously I definitely think I need to just do these seven types of rest. Also, I’m really glad that Kozii is talking about this because I’ve been convincing myself I just need to push through it with whatever sacrifices I have to make but hearing you talk about this actually made me realize if I keep doing this my literal everything is just going to go down hill. Btw, I’m really liking the content surrounding serious topics and personally I wanna try this type of content out if I ever can because things like this just make me keep on going hearing some else’s opinion on topics like these and they make my day a lot better. I just wanted to say thank you so much Kozii for making this kind of content and it’s such a good thing because no one wants to talk about serious things but someone has to you know, but seriously I really do hope you go far in the future and if you do make sure to rest as much as you can. I’m sorry to whoever reads this but my rant and paragraph is now over lol. Thank you for this and I’m happy to have found your channel. 😊❤️
