I like Scandinavia I like Norway.. I like the history of Scandinavia... I feel like I am a Viking.. But I can't change my life in Greece with any country on this planet.. I live in Crete Greece.. In platanias we have million of Scandinavian people every year.. We have almost 10 months summer and 2 winter.. In the summer we have 40 degrees and in the winter 15 to 20.. I don't know if I can leave from this place..

What do you think is the best time of the year for hiking in Norway ? 2 friends and me would love to visit Norway sometime next year and just walk a bit through Norway and camp in the wild and then just see how far we get haha. We tought of February/March but feared that it might be very could and maby even still snowing. The obvious choice would be summer but I heard that there are a fuck load of mosquitos in that time and I think that could ruin our trip especially if we sleep outsides in tents. So what do you think? Sadly we can only go in those periods because only then there are "holidays" in the universitys in our country... Happy about any thoughts anybody can give me on this matter! Hi, I am a fellow Norwegian, and it does not sound like you and your friends are prepared to go hiking in Norway in the middle of the Winter. If you do not have serious woodsman/survival skilles you Will absolutely freeze to death. Temperaturen ranging from - 15°C to - 25°C is completely normal and expected (the coldest i have walked to school in was - 36°C mid Winter). If you expect to hike in the Winter you are out of luck, it is possible sometimes, but skiing is pretty much the only option in the Woods, since there Will be ALOT of snow (literal meters deep snow to Wade through) . During summer mosqitos might be annoing, but bring the proper "antibug" oils and scents and you Will be a lot better off than freezing to death. You can also fish and live in tents in the summer. The forrest are absolutely beutiful during summer, and there is so many places to hike! You should do some research before deciding to go hiking, and I wish you and your friends good luck and good hiking! :)

vampires lol xD several years ago I was very insecure about pale skin myself,basicallyall my youth. until I researched more and know now how much in example many chinese or asian people do to have lighter skin. which I find sad, because they're beautiful the way they're too. and also had two different men tell me how nice or attractive they find it when the venes shine through, one of them a longterm photographer. - I still do not necessarily want it, but it broadened my perspective and embrace it more and taught me a bit more to be proud of my skin how it is. some wierdo woman years later still commented on me being pale but I couldn't care less. just thought: yeah, guess how happy asians would be about it lol
How I wish I had access to those beautifully groomed XC ski trails. My favorite activity that I long for and now that I live in South Florida (the land of eternal Summer) so very far away. I have poles and rollerblades for dryland training, but it is a poor substitute, know how lucky you are to be so close to the perfect playground! You seem to have placed the greater value on those qualities in your life that have special meaning to you and are trying to keep at a minimum a lot of those aspects that the outside world pushes on everyone to incorporate as essential or de rigueur. I am with you.
