The fun part about kombucha is Russian grannies had this "mushroom" (that we all ewww-ed to but liked to drink kombucha for sure) back in 1990s, and so at the age of 20 I learnt about this fancy drink cool people online drink, and a bit later I learnt how it was produced :-D Missing the northern lights, once watched them 5 days in a row in Bodø. Videos do convey their beauty, but one just has to watch it live at least once, this feeling of something so beautifully flowing above your head...Feels like magic.

Oh God... I really love this minimalist Scandinavian style, and that inner peace when surrounded by the nature. The sheer fact that you have those northern lights at your doorstep, while the stars of the Great Bear constellation are flickering in the background, is one of the coolest life moments one can have. Btw. what's the best period in Norway and Scandinavia overall to visit, in order to witness those lights? Greetings from northern Germany! ;)
the scoby will keep stretching to whatever size the bowl/jar is haha. If you use a narrow bowl/jar then it is more smaller. I have quite a large jar so my scobys are huge like yours haha

same as in Norway! our nature is really embracing the season and we humans kinda ignore it :P really made a difference in my mood and the atmosphere in my home after just doing simple changes to match the season. lots of love

The northern lights are so magical! One day... You created a wonderful life for your self, happy for you! Can’t help, but think about the shadow of this though... Obviously, we (in most parts of the western world) are soooo privileged to have the opportunity to live like this or not even close to this or even just watching it with a cup of hot chocolate, while there’s war and scarcity in other parts of the planet, so we can live this life... I‘m torn! I feel the urge to help, but I also just want to live simply in peace somewhere in the mountains. What I did not like is all the plastic waste you showed... Not meaning to judge, I know, you actually care about this, but I remember you being more sustainable in the past, making toothpaste yourself and stuff like that. I think, we should enjoy our existence and I might worry about the impact, I make too much on a day to day basis to a point where it can ruin the experience, but I also enjoy to make things myself from crafting to baking to making oils from flower essences, washing powder, cosmetics, sweets, sauerkraut or oat milk. I still buy packaged and processed products, that travelled the world to end up in my possession with the packaging burned or buried (and beat myself up for it, although I know, we can’t exist without using resources and creating waste), but I want to minimize that more and more. Although I am worthy and deserving, I am not the most important person on earth. I can withstand from excess consumption for the whole. That’s just my opinion. Love
