Welcome back Johnny! I just got my press in the mail earlier this week. I've been watching your videos non stop. Anyhow, keep em rolling in bud. Thanks for all the help!
I have used the 55gr Controlled Chaos bullets and the CFE223 powder for a long time and it is very accurate. I played with different loads and 26.1 was the most accurate in my suppressed Ruger bolt action and AR. My Ruger is doing dime size groups at 100 yards. Good video!
AA 2230 have always been a good performer in the 5,56 round. I believe that a similar powder is used in their production of military ammunition, being IMI in Israel. I have always used H335 for my bulk consumable ammo for my AR and that works just as good for that use. average group size is within the one-inch ring fired from the bench. If slung in and off the mat, That is a different story because it's as good as I can hold @ 200 yards with open sights on a Rock River National Match upper.
My range time got all jacked up today. I got there at 8 and was in the zone shooting 1/2 inch groups at 100 yards. Then someone shows up and wants to talk politics, his life story and so on for 90mins! I didn't want to be an ass to an 80 year old man, so I let him rant on...lol. Bye the time he left it was 90 degrees out and I was shooting 1 inch groups. Still good, but lost my mojo. Oh well, back at it again tomorrow.
Welcome back connoisseur of all things pew pew ! Just want to say thanks . Your vids have me an excellent foundation for loading subs in 300. I purchased an LFA 16inch upper and 8.5 upper , both pistol length gas systems . Excellent uppers and happy with both w/sico hybrid.
Great video man. I was wondering about that gap in the mouth of the case 2.?.?.? The info I got on that so far in my search is that its there so it is always constant case contact for every round.
I learned a long time ago to move charged cases to a second loading block if loading less than everything in that block. Guess how I figured that out? Yep, 10 clicks instead of booms.
Hey quick question for you do you have a good digital scale that you would recommend. I’m new to reloading actually just loaded my first 10 223 rounds today. Thanks for all the amazing videos I’ve been nonstop watching for weeks!
hey Ive got a question for you. So i want to build a spr type ar and was wondering the best barrel length and twist you would recomend for 55-70gr bullets
I am not an expert on this stuff but if you want to shoot up to 70 I think that would mean a 1:7 twist. A 1:8 twist might work as well but all of my experience is with 1:7 barrels. I think the standard for an spr clone is 18".
at 20:00 in your shooting the CFE223 at 25.5 grains. You shoot 5 rounds but only 4 show up on paper? Then later you circle and check it for a 1.24 MOA I believe? where's that magic bullet and how did you miss that?
I was wondering the same! A 220 Swift doesn't get there, I'm pretty sure. The Hodgdon website shows loads 4k+ for 220 Jaybird and 22 Cheetah. I assume you probably have to change the barrel every time you open a new can of powder.
Johnny's Reloading Bench I did a little research. 22 swift would be the answer. It still holds the world record for the fastest "factory" load with a published velocity of 4,665 ft/s using a 29 grain bullet and 42 grains of 3031 powder. In 1935 the original factory load from Winchester provided a 48-grain bullet launched at 4,100 feet per second.
The 69gr Match King is one of my favorite bullets. I've shot it in a bunch of videos like my beginner's guide. Most recently, I am pretty sure I used them in my Palmetto upper accuracy tests videos.
I took out 4 diff ARs and shot my Tac load against my AA-2200 loads and guess what All four shot the AA-2200 better than the Tac same bullet, hornady 55 fmj
I can’t get enough of the 5.56 and 308 load testing on your channel

Welcome back. Your videos save me a ton of time and effort.
I love Lehigh Defense! My 24 inch upper really likes their 62gr offering. Glad to see you uploading again!
The 62 grainers will definitely be part of my next order! Thanks for watching, man.
Glad to see your back and it just so happens that I recently picked up a couple pounds of 2230. Im glad to see it seems to work well.
Glad to see you are feeling better, I enjoy your videos and plan to build a PID based off of your vids.

I love Ramshot powders. All ball powder and very consistent. I use TAC for 223 and 308 and Hunter for 270 and 6.5 Creedmoor..Great powders
WHOA, i saw 556 and thought we were getting the story on how you got the back half of that elk out of the woods!!! :):) na, glad your back
So glad you are back.
Good to be back! Felt good to be on the range again.
Glad to see you posting vids again!
Thanks, man!
Red Dot, Power Pistol, Trailboss, and Lil'gun...none of the powders I use for any purpose can be confused for one another...great safety feature!
Johnny's reloading bench hey glad your back.
Thanks, man!
Yes, its been awhile. Glad your back!
Your videos are great I wish you would make more😊

Glad your back. Hope you are well healed and back on the Tube.
Thanks, dude.
Johnny's Reloading Bench when are you shooting the 62 gr. Lehighs?

Glad I helped you get started! Thanks for watching.
There are only 50 per box at $33.50. I just ordered some to try. 2 Boxes from Midway was $72 for (2) 50 round boxes.
Cabelas has Hornady 55 gr bullets with cannelure for $9.95 for a box of 100, hard to beat that deal, I picked up 3 boxes yesterday when I was there.
Great video man. I was wondering about that gap in the mouth of the case 2.?.?.? The info I got on that so far in my search is that its there so it is always constant case contact for every round.
You should try the Maker's T-Tex 55gn solids that expand like a air plane prop in Ordanance gel.
Jonny I was having a nervous breakdown thought you were dead dude lol if that could be funny

Still waiting for the Vihtavuori powder test in 300 Blackout :)
considering the military just went lead free I dont see it as babbling. we are headed for it. embrace and master it now.
It’s been a few years since your comment but I can confirm we are still shooting lead bullets
Hi I’m new to reloading. I have a dumb question. Can you use 3 in 1 oil to lube your cases for resizing?
hey Ive got a question for you. So i want to build a spr type ar and was wondering the best barrel length and twist you would recomend for 55-70gr bullets

👍
cfe223 I use 27 grains with 55 grain horniday.
I picked up a bottle of CFE223 yesterday at Cabelas, I plant on using 26 Grains on the 55 gr Hornady bullet.
at 20:00 in your shooting the CFE223 at 25.5 grains. You shoot 5 rounds but only 4 show up on paper? Then later you circle and check it for a 1.24 MOA I believe? where's that magic bullet and how did you miss that?
Same hole
get a upper from hm defense with the momobloc barrel you will be a differents in your shooting
The box says 2000-4200fps. I'd love to see what is shooting em out there at that speed!
I was wondering the same! A 220 Swift doesn't get there, I'm pretty sure. The Hodgdon website shows loads 4k+ for 220 Jaybird and 22 Cheetah. I assume you probably have to change the barrel every time you open a new can of powder.

223 wssm?
22-250
What software do you use to analyze your targets?
hey Buddy, !!
Hey, dude!
Have you use the Serra 69gr for 556/233 on one videos
The 69gr Match King is one of my favorite bullets. I've shot it in a bunch of videos like my beginner's guide. Most recently, I am pretty sure I used them in my Palmetto upper accuracy tests videos.
could u check the oal of the bullet I heard they run longer then normal. I heard 55gr r more like 62gr?
finaddict they would have to be longer being a brass type bullet they don't have the same weight as lead.
You shouldn't see bulges or popped primers til you reach over 3200fps especially if you are using 5.56 brass
I took out 4 diff ARs and shot my Tac load against my AA-2200 loads and guess what All four shot the AA-2200 better than the Tac same bullet, hornady 55 fmj
Is there any benefit to mixing powders?
No, unless SHTF and you have the data to back up mixing them safely y
Also cfe223 is cheaper lol
CFE 223 sucks
Stick with le6920 no fun watching psa junk man come on colt for life
Sitting here watching your videos and reloading some 308.
