Wow those prisoners had it like a 5 star hotel in Skaven standards. Stale water AND rotten food? Most Skaven POWs are just worked to death then eaten or sent straight to be toyed with by Moulder or Skyre. They meanwhile basically got the usual life style of a clanrat without worry of being wiped out in a assassination plot by a rival warlord.
@Arbiterjim Moulder would mutate you over and over, wayyyy more into this shit than clan Skryre who's known for their machinery Pestilens would be atrocious but at least death gets you at some point.

this turned out so goooooood man hell yes! this was awesome to watch! the in-game footage fit really well. and Skrubasauras killllled it as Rodrick. overall, bravo. always thought that the chanting you hear from the skaven was soooooo cool sounding
Man this, is haunting. It's a amazingly detailed torture that makes you want more tales from other races. Hearing these makes me not only wanna play the game but also want a full audio book.
Good question. It is a detail that I oversaw when coming up with this short story, realistically he shouldn't know. Or at least it would be very improbable!

Im surprised this foot soldier has a working knowledge of the skaven, theor exiatance, and even that they perform experiments on prisoners. Like, how did he know they have clans? How did he KNOW the name of a clan? How could he tell which clan ot was?
I always wondered if a Skaven could be good you know? Was their evil societal or was it literally part of their biology? Still, love to see more of the best setting!
My headcanon is that it's somewhere between societal and divine mandate. A "good" Skaven would be seen as weak by both their fellow ratmen and the Great Horned Rat [who would surely turn things against a Skaven who failed to uphold the virtues of the Black Pillar]

Scabacus I believe was his name, started a slave rebellion then the grey seers promised a reward to who ever would backstab him, which the other slaves did, and their reward? To be back stabbed by the grey seers of course
Yep it's called attention seeking and self glorification, it's nothing bad I guess, as long as it makes you feel good n like you accomplished something no one else has then it's a good thing, really lifts the spirits

No no no no NO! Ok, i know the chance of rodrick not surviving...in his current form anyway, is like 99.9% BUT if he died or was mutated i wanna kno b4 the tale ends, i hate unfinished stories. Plus heres a theory on how it SHOULDVE ended. "Kurt tossed the stone towards rodricks cage as he was dragged away unbeknownst to the guards, later, terrified as he was after hearing his friends screams in the distance rodrick resolved to escape and so watched for the guards moment of lax attention and picked his lock. As he escaped through the dark twistedd tumnels he ran into a group of ratmen and a grotesque creature that he soon recognized as his mutated friend. Bla bla bla, an then kurt in a final moment of clarity turned on the ratmen killing with abandon. Knowing that his friend would snap out of it and kill him too he breathed a silent thank you and continued his escape up through the dark passages." THATS how you end a story

bruh. It's left vague intentionally, so your imagination can fill in the scary parts. That's kinda the point with horror stories.
