    6mm yellow EP plastic eyes
    rootbeer EP sparkle
    red EP fiber
    sand EP fiber for tail
    golden olive EP fiber top of tail
    beige EP fiber for head, EP uses bronze color

    A novel way to construct the head. I like it! Nice fly. Try Solarez Bone Dry for finishing heads. Very thin. It penetrates really well and a second coat gives a beautiful head.

    Very nice. A lot more work building the head, but using dumbbell eyes instead of stick-on makes for a much more durable fly. The need to glue on eyes on these EP baitfish patterns is a weakness in my opinion.

    could you maybe tie a freshwater crab fly? I know you guys don't have them in the states but they're an important food source for many fish in south africa ( burrowing river crab)

      Thank you! I can't find my model, but my favorite brand is renzetti, they last forever and offer clamp and standing styles, I like a clamp so it won't move, if you travel the standing one is better. I've had mine for about 6 years now.
