I was excited to see this feature coming in V5. I thought project and track remotes would be accessible like other devices in the device chain. I like to arrow left and right with my qwerty keyboard to access devices and I can't arrow left to project and track remotes either. I'm trying to update my OSC template based on your update in the latest DBM release. But now it seems I will have to go to a separate tab to control track and page remotes which reduces the efficiency of the feature.
That the cursor device does follow everthing is actually the case (which I think is problematic). That you cannot navigate it with the cursor keys is something I suggest to report to Bitwig. I guess that was simply forgotten to implement.
Hello, i have the launchpad mini mk3 and I can only have acces to the first and the last page of the project page and track page when i press the arrows on the top left of the mini mk3 in the project/track parameters mode, do you konw if its normal or a bug (I have update my mini mk3)? thank you very much😀
Yes, absolutely. You can control project, track and device parameters which I already support for most of the controllers with DrivenByMoss. The problem with the cursor device is that it also jumps to project or track parameters when the user clicks on it in Bitwig.
I'm having some trouble getting my OSC template to work with the track remotes. I copied your template to get the project remotes working. However, On track remotes: - param name, param value, bank name display fine. - bank select changes project remotes. - bank select changes project remotes. - The fader controls project remotes, but if I make changes from the device chain in Bitwig the track remote fader updates as expected. - Also selecting the project remotes device changes all the track remote OSC labels to project labels. Re-selecting the track remotes device changes labels back to track remote labels. High chance all this could be my error, but I wanted to check if you have a template working with the track remotes. I love using my iPad to control Bitwig in this way, and I am hoping I can update it to work with v5's track remotes.
@@mossgraber in OSC the track remotes fader controls the project remotes. However, if I make a change from bitiwg on the track remotes device the track remotes fader in OSC updates.
@@SoundtempleMusic I put the /project/param commands on the USER page. However, I noticed there is a little bug since the touch still uses /user (will be fixed). So, there is no track parameter control. Something confusing is the following, which I mention in the video: on the device parameter page you will also see the project and track remote controls if you select them in Bitwig.
@@mossgraber Thanks. My device parameter page does not change when I select track or project remotes in Bitwig. My attempt at making the track remote page does change when I select the track or project remotes in Bitwig. Ideally, it would just behave like a regular device and we could just use the device page and navigate to the track and project remotes in the same way we navigate to every other device.
@@SoundtempleMusic I just checked with my Open stage Control template: if the mode is set to "Any track / device selection", it follow everything (device/track remotes/project remotes) on the device page of the template.

I love your enthusiasm and how you annunciate your words. Thank you for being here and all that you do!!
Yay, I love when the creator of bitwig posts a nice update like this
nice! i kinda like the new interface for the controller scripts

Thanks but also confusing. Would it be possible to assign one controller to track controls and another to device controls?

Do Bitwig have a "forgot to record button" like Studio One? Pre record? It has been a life saver.
Sorry, no.

Sorry, I didn't understand what the issue is, from what you wrote it sounds like everything is working.

Can bigwig record latency free ?
Not sure what your question aims at but Bitwig does compensate the latency of your audio interface like any other DAW.
the old browser was so much better -.-
Wait till the next video 😀
