  • This is 6 minute drum chronology of Queens of the Stone Age and is the copyrighted property of its owner(s).
    I never intended to make another drum chronology, but because of the incredible response to my Arctic Monkeys video, I decided to record this after seeing all of your requests for it! (And of course for my love of QOTSA!)
    Here I play sections of drum parts to Queens of the Stone Age albums up to "...Like Clockwork", in year released and track list order in one whole take. Note that I missed out the tracks: If I Was a Teenage Hand Model, Lightning Song, Mosquito Song and This Lullaby because of the limited drumming so the video can stay at a good pace! (Also there are no bonus tracks in this video.)
    This took a long time to put together so I would appreciate any comments, likes, shares and suggestions for future videos.
    Enjoy!

    Era vulgaris is so underrated in my opinion. I think it's so unique and different! Definitely my second favorite of their discography

    • @L0ngfellow9
      @L0ngfellow9 7 лет назад +46

      Ricardo Castro I agree. Not their easiest listen. But the hollow and uneasy sounding production, and searing almost spiteful attitude through the whole album definitely gives it a very unique feel. Some of their most interesting musical ideas show up there as well.

      Great record indeed! Excellent dirty, punky, angular QotSA.
      Much better than Lullabies or Like Clockwork, both of which are inconsistent for me and get a bit too polished and poppy. Though both have great moments, I've trimmed and re-sequenced both albums in my iTunes to my own liking.

Era Vulgaris got me into them in the first place, but as my tastes have changes I think I'd have to put Lullabies or Rated R as my favourite QOTSA album... but I dunno. There are maybe three tracks in the whole lineup that I don't like. That's a pretty good record for me.

    I LOVE how tight you held - and hard you hit your hi hat in Kalopsia. Crisp. Right straight into and out of it. SO good.
    ALL of this is crazy good.
    The different touches/feels song to song are the most impressive things to me.
    The accuracy of the tracks is already on point and right but light to heavy to soft to crisp to partially open to fully to closed to gentle fills to heavy fills to light foot to stomp... Yeah. Nice.
