    Holy fucking shit, ain't no way this channel is sub-1000 subs!!!
    The video is:
    -informative
    -entertaining
    -very well presented (with high quality animations, video shots, edits...etc.)
    This is way too professional to be mistreated like this!!! Wish you quick uprising and huge success in the soon future, brother, you really deserve it.

    Love love love this colour. I’m thinking of putting together a Warmoth Jazz Bass in Charcoal Frost and you’ve convinced me that it’s the right colour. The blue hue to it is stunning and makes for the perfect blue/gray colour.

    I use baritones for metal but man this guitar looks and sounds AMAZING! What did you use for the tone?

    • @JoywalkerMusic
      @JoywalkerMusic  Год назад +2

      Thanks! For this video I ran my baritone through my Line6 HX Stomp, using the following effects: "Teemah!" gain (sometimes with the Scream 808), the Essex A30 amp head, Ganymede spring reverb, 1x12 Blue Bell and 1x12 Celest 12H "speakers" (sent to seperate outputs which I mixed later in my DAW), and some light compression at the end of the chain. The lead guitar parts in the intro song I also ran through Serum in my DAW where I added a delay effect and some other modulation.

    First time I’ve ever heard one side of a hum bucket and didn’t hate it.

    It's a good middle ground for people who want to tune lower but don't want a 7 string or an 8 and so on depending on how low is dependent on the scale length since you need good intonation especially if you play all over the neck

    Would have been cool if you said what tuning you were in (yeah I know I could have pulled my guitar down and figured it out but still), what gauge strings, and what you were playing though exactly: direct, amp, mic, ect. These are basic things that give people some insight to what we are actually listening to, otherwise the video itself certainly looks and sounds quite good. Also while one can go to Warmoth and get details on their Strat baritone conversion neck you might have mentioned it is a 28 5/8" scale which is a bit on the long side of baritone scale length, again might be getting a bit picky but seems like basic info to get across if you are going to talk about the instrument.

      Yee. Agreed - signal chain = super important for thinking about why I’m hearing what I’m hearing.
      Purdy thing though for sure

    What's the scale length and what string gauge did you use? Any nut and/or fret work required?

    • @JoywalkerMusic
      @JoywalkerMusic  Год назад +1

      Scale length is 28-5/8" and I'm using 13.5/62 gauge (stringjoy signatures baritone light).
      Not super experienced with nuts/frets, but I believe they were pretty good out of the box. That said, I also took it in to get set up by a professional (mainly to get the truss rod adjustment right).

  • @Hyperlink1337
    @Hyperlink1337 Месяц назад

    most people with scale lengths that long usually tune to a standard, not b. you could easily drop it down to g or f# at that scale length to get rid of that unnecessary brightness
