I have a Zenith El Primero Chrono Sport and the power reserve is 60 hours while the Daytona is 70 hours power reserve . The advantage with the Zenith is that the 1/10 second hand to me by far is more useful than the 60 second hand on the Daytona . The Zenith Chrono master Sport has an advantage if you are using the function for track meets , timing hiit training workouts and timing many things that are less than 1 min and can also be used for elapsed time as well . Hopefully Rolex does and up going with a 1/10 stop watch function in the future . As far as design goes the Daytona is a more robust case and bracelet and clasp . The clasp on the zenith chrono master sport is not great . Your videos second to none Tony and we all appreciate your videos and your insights . Your channel is a NO BS at straight to the point and you keep everything fresh . Cheers form Southern California
Tony I love that solo at the beginning of the videos. I too play guitar. Started 3 years ago and I still think it’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done. I took lessons for 2.5 years of the last 3 years. I’ve learned a lot and can play a tad. Watch and guitar collecting is basically my thing so I’m glad I found your channel.
Hi Tony, I am from the Netherlands, I have two watches, an Omega Speedmaster Professional Safire and an Omega Seamaster 300, which is a lot of money for me, but I am proud of it.
Hey Tony, thanks for another great Q&A. As everyone keeps commenting, it's nice to hear honest chat with no BS. I have a question for next week, - with all the increase in quality of technology and machinery, do you think that microbrands will eventually be as good.quality as the big brands like Patek or Vacheron but on a mass production scale and cheaper?
I love that guitar rifting in the intro. Glad we got two videos this week :) question for next time, do you think it is worth it to get a Tissot PRX and a couple other entry level automatic watches to start a collection, or just save the money for a Rolex?
Tony I really enjoy your content. I also love that you interact with us in the comments and like and respond to the comments as well. Keep the great content coming!
Your el premiero is so cool! I love every insta post featuring that one. Thanks for the double and a! I respect your not chasing the money and living life on your own terms, brother!
Great video as always, but the ending was particularly priceless when you were answering the question about the Richard Mille bolo necklace 😂😂😂! I would take the Zenith over the Daytona any day, and I’d take either over a Patek at this point 😊.
Hey Tony, I love to hear your take on everything watches. I see you always have a lot of Warner Bros things around the house. Did you do music for the cartoons?
Hey Tony, curious about what you said during the opening, how your GMT is fining more of its place in the watch box these days. Is that due to the watch being a coveted piece that you’re preserving, or are you simply past the honeymoon stage and it’s finding less time in the rotation? Still trying hard to get this piece in the collection. I’d also be curious to know if you have any thoughts on what the current wait time is for this watch? Are we still looking at 1yr to 18mths or longer? Thanks, have a great week and get yourself a cannoli!
Wonderful opening. I love your guitar playing. Is an IWC Mark XX a worthy competitor to the Rolex Oyster Perpetual? The IWC bracelet seems to be on par or better than some of the top tier companies.
Two part question: You often say you sold a particular watch. Do you have a “go to” place to sell? Also, love the guitar work on the intro. What should i search to hear the second half? Flemenco?😊
Hey Tony question for next week. How do you determine what watches to individually insure? What insurance company do you use other than a homeowners policy? Thanks
Follow up on what I said, I meant grey/secondary. In Scandinavia there aren’t many buying in the grey market, even Rolex. A lot supply, no to little demand, yet the market is still high. It doesn’t seem like supply demand does apply in Scandinavia to Rolex watches. Everyone wants retail/ AD of course even myself. 😅 Hope this clarifies what I was trying to ask 😊
I hear that the silicon parts in the El Primero 3600 are prone to breaking. I do not know if they have ironed out the kinks that the movement had when it was first introduced.
Hey, Tony. Not sure if this is a question you can answer in the comments or it has to be a video, but do you travel a lot for work/ your music? I live around Atlanta and would love to meet up with you one day if you ever pass through Hartsfield Jackson and wanna grab a drink. You seem like a super cool dude to be around. (btw made sure to like the video!)
Tony, I wear Costco shorts and t-shirts. But I also wear a smooth dial oyster DJ 41. I sometimes feel under dressed and over watched. Am I weird or is this acceptable?
Went to Bucherer today and of course tried on some watches. When I asked the manager in Rolex if I can buy a Green 41mm OP and a Pink 36mm, I got the oh no. There we don’t have them. I asked why do you have them on display? She said Rolex tells them what to display and dictates the allotment of watches that they receive. Not sure if it’s true or not, but this is the same place I bought my Wimbledon 2 months ago, 2 Tudors, and a Panerai Radiomir. So I’m a good customer but got the shaft today.
I don't understand why someone would think Sylvester Stallone should be banned from buying more watches from Patek Phillipe for selling his watch. That doesn't compute in my mind. If that was for real I would sell that watch and be done with Patek. Who cares? The client should always come first.
Zenith probably a very good watch, but people buy rolex not because its better just because its more famous brand who suposed to give a social position,,why buy an opel if you can have a mercedes? Opel is probably a good car,but nobody will say wuaaa look at this opel, but wuaaa look at this mercedes, this guy have money...the same with rolex, everybody will recognize a rolex, not sure everybody recognize a zenith...
People don’t buy Rolex just because it’s a more famous brand. And not everyone wears Rolex because they want to show off. You’ll be amazed at how many non watch-people just don’t care or know. Also, comparing Opel and Mercedes to Zenith and Mercedes is a terrible analogy
@@Casa1000 i am agree with you,but i think analogy with opel and mercedes is not so far, just speaking of images..or marketing,if a lot of people dont know rolex imagine whow much know zenith...but ok,its just a point of view.
@@talkingtimepieceswithtony sure if you buy any other brand who is not rolex, but i think a looooot of rolex customer just buy it because "tey have too"...i dont think its your case or my case but realy exist...just a point of view...
I'd take the Zenith any day over the Rolex! Rolex are so over rated and priced! Only way I'd buy a Rolex is for investment purposes! Buy one stick it in a safety deposit box and leave it for 20 yrs! While the Zenith is on your wrist!!

Collecting is definitely not pointless. If it makes you happy and can afford what you like, its definitely worth it.
Yup!

Yeah, it happens. Those are 2 very difficult watches to get.
Rolex has done little research and development. Come on man.
