Tag is awesome. the Monaco's use the zenith movements. I got one of the new formula 1s. It's just a fun watch. The new aqua racers have an in house movement and the solargraphs make an awesome daily beater. I'm a big fan
I had an Aquaracer from about 2008-2012. It was the one with the nylon bezel insert, date cyclops at the 9:00 position, and rubber strap. I ended up selling it but I very much enjoyed that watch.
Thanks for your content Tony. A bit late to the party, work👎. Well I would pay good money to watch you do a hand break turn into a parking bay. But you would have to do a wrist check at the same time. 🕰️ 😂👍🤟.
Can you imagine Tony, hand break turn with a Porsche 911 bang in the parking space. The lady is in disbelief watching your parking skills. You then saying do you like my green op 41 it matches my eyes. 😁. Then you will spin in to the sun set.
A pork chop at a vegan wedding 😂 love it! I remember how popular the tag link was, that sparked my interest and aspired me to eventually get a luxury timepiece.
Curious on your thoughts of a unloved, never talked about tudor. The Royal. Got the 38mm blue date which is a deal of a watch that is svelte, beautiful, 5 link with a worked sellita movement that is 2 sec /day. I get it's not the hottest, nor hyped model, but a heck of a deal and classy! Got one for 1,400$ new/used on ebay and it is joyous while waiting call from Rolex AD for DJ Wimbledon 41mm. Thanks T
Hey Tony I'm curious what your thoughts are on watches with quick change strap systems. My Zenith Defy has one and it's nice to quickly swap straps but also annoying that I can't use aftermarket straps with it.
Julien is not the only new addition to TAG, since 2022 I think Carole Forestier Kasapi works at TAG overseeing their movement creation and design - she is one of the best movement designers alive and has done amazing work at Cartier before. There is a lot to come in the next 5-10 years fromTAG on that front.
Hey Tony- love your intro for the Friday Q&A it’s uplifting ! I’ve been watching your videos this past year and it’s the highlight of my Friday nights. What are your thoughts on vintage Rolex Datejusts from the 80’s? I just picked up a 89 silver stick fluted jubilee 36 mm on 47 th st, it’s in mint condition. What kind of servicing do you foresee with vintage datejusts??
Hi Tony! Happy Friday to you. B&M are part of Richemont. B&M watches especially for price point are very nice brand. Regarding Patek with not aligned date and day is very hard to believe.🤔Tony been looking lately at certain models of Rolex. I’ve noticed certain models are selling at or below msrp in grey market. Yacht-Master 40 black dial and rose gold bezel is one example.
Another great video and another hard week down! Q::: How do you manage waiting for that anticipated Rolex from your AD? Do you (or does anyone out there) find it hard to maintain patience and AD loyalty as the long weeks turn into long months for a wait-list model?
Love the content Tony! What are your thoughts about the Cartier tank must xl on leather. I know you owned the solo, but considering the current prices for the must xl would you recommend it?
@@talkingtimepieceswithtony awesome! I’m considering buying one from Bhindi because I like the watch a lot and I figure it’ll help me “get the call” sooner for a batgirl. However, the price is pretty significant compared to the grey market so I’m a bit torn on it
Hi Tony, following up my question, I asked the SA about it and he said it's "normal", because maybe the hours stopped? So I asked if it would snap like Rolex (because I never owned a Patek, and unlikely will after this incident), and he said it's not like Rolex, so the dates and day wont snap in place inside the window. I am referring to the Perpetual/annual calender series.
Hey man. Makes sense. If the watch stopped within the change over time then that could be it. But, I would definitely set the watch properly before putting it on display. 🤙🤙
Engraving wouldn't bother me if the price was right, unless it was some f'd up stuff. What is your opinion on a jlc master control date with the moon phase or a Rolex gmt? Unfortunately I can only get one or the other. Great video as usual!
Hey man, I got mine at Halloween Town in Burbank. They have a website www.Halloween store.com you can call them if it’s not available on their website. I bought mine in store. They have a lot of cool stuff. 🤙🤙
Hello watch friends! Yeah I would buy an engraved watch, if there’s any uncertainty, you said it is a Vacheron Constantin at 50% below Msrp, if you change your mind and want to sell it, you would have to sell at a significant discount, but you are already buying it at a significant discount, so you would not take a massive loss if later you sold it. P,s. I like those voices you make, it made me laugh. I don’t want to be rude, but it reminded me of the movies Forest Gump and Sling Blade. I didn’t recognize Billy Bob Thornton when I first saw that movie, I think It is pretty amazing how he made that character Sling Blade so believable. He gave true life to a character. I think that if a person watches Sling Blade without reading the credits he wouldn’t recognize Billy Bob Thornton. AMAZING!!!
Engraved watches: a poorly done engraving will put me off, otherwise it can be nice to have. It gives the watch a more tangible story, especially if it’s more than initials.

Dude! Congrats! Enjoy and wear in good health.
