      Why did you make a mistake? There was on 10:15 when you said the conditional which is called past unreal.
      If I said NO then she would have said 'we need to do this' - it's wrong, isn't it?
      If I have said NO then she would have said 'we need to do this' - This is the right version

    First of all, love your curly hair that makes you look even more adorable, and the pair of rings you're wearing, another plus! Next, watermelon is one of my favorites as well. But, actually, I heard that a slice (not sure how big) has as many calories as a bowl of rice has, because of the sugar it contains. Haha, so it's definitely not a choice for weight loss. Third, I am not fond of shopping too. Only if my friends ask me to accompany them, then I would go. But, if it's for myself, first I prefer to shop online, b/c it's cheaper, or go to a place with a list in my hand so that I don't waste any time or end up buying something that is not what I really plan to get. Another one in common, sometimes I told that kind of "white lies" (or worse than yours) that was not what my heart desired to do or say. And I found this habit may have made me a passive-aggressive personality type of person. :( do you feel that way sometimes?
    I'm amazed by the dream you had- becoming a pilot! But, I am grateful for what you've been doing now :) Continue to pilot us, your students, into the right path of learning English.
    "State of wonder"? Interesting, maybe that will be the next book I'm gonna read. Will it be great if you can share the books you read here periodically, or let us know which book you're reading or going to read, so we may have a book club here :) something in common to talk about.
    Lastly, thank you and thank you for being a great teacher here, so "happy and energetic", and this absolutely makes learning English with you more fun, more easy, more enjoyable!

    • @SpeakEnglishWithVanessa
      @SpeakEnglishWithVanessa  7 лет назад +4

      I'm so glad you enjoyed this interview, Mulan! Oh wow, watermelon has a lot of sugar! Maybe that's why I like it so much. :) It's a good idea to make a list of some books that are interesting. Maybe I'll make a post about it! :D

    Spanish is my native language. I admit English is the most handy language, then Spanish, but hey French is a great choice. French is widely spoken in African countries. It's said that at this pace with the rate of substitution of the African languages for French at home French might get around 800 million speakers in a few decades. Plus French & English are the main (the only ones often) two languages of diplomacy. That does not happen with Chinese Russian, Portuguese or Spanish. Let alone with German.
