RandomGaminginHD ill be getting a new pc soon, but I still watch this channel, even though it's a pretty beefy rig I'm getting(1070 and i5 7500) i think all this old hardware is interesting, and putting all the hardware to see how far it can go is really cool
Frisbie147 any chance to have a look at ryzen 5 or 3? they are the "i5-i3" class you might save some cash who knows maybe you get a faster storage or even 1080..
gapek1 you could still could find something online for less than £30 if you look xD (whole tower with all components) but probably wouldn't be able to upgrade it that much
DudeHowDareU? be interesting then to hear people talk about gtx titan and the likes while laughing at their performance. one problem though, I don't like the part where I'll be 15 years older
bad.. anyway try to check if your motherboard is compatible for the 771-775 mod, if flash the bios and buy the xeon, they are better in every way, they are faster clock to clock (10% faster) cheaper, and thanks to 45nm they overclock better due to the less heat, i know it because my E5450 reach 60C when stresed at 4.0 ghz
hey rginhd i just wanted to say that i really enjoy your videos which i had started watching about 2 months ago and you have definetly change my perspective on gaming computers and the daily upload definetly makes up the 4 min vids
Don't let this distract you from the fact that if you or a loved one has been diagnosed with mesothelioma, you may be entitled to financial compensation
im actually really excited to see something like this. especially to see my favorite NFS game being played. i have two Ps2 consoles that i adore so much, but for some reason (mostly because they are nearing their last legs) ive wanted to build a smaller / old school pc to play a lot of the same games on and this really helped me set the pace for it. nice work as always.
your channel may not have a million subscribers, but trust me your videos are bloody amazing, I watch your videos daily even though I don't have a PC because they're so good.
the only thing missing from these videos is the max and average and idle tdp's or average power usage because as we all know buying the unit is only half the battle keeping it on and powered is another matter.
wont be long until you can have videos with higher end components, even though these are more original and far more interesting. keep up the good work, seen this channels grow from a couple thousand.
I am running a 12 year old Dell Dimension E521 that originally had this CPU.. I upgraded it to a AMD Athlon X2 6000+ and maxed mine out at 8gb PC6400 RAM, and running an Nvidia Quadro K2200 with 4gb which is a business video card but is powerful and can run games as well. I have my system slightly overclocked, and I am getting the AMD Athlon X2 6400 which is the highest level CPU of this series to max that part out as well. Once you get into the faster of these CPU's memory speed increases a ton, and is up to a more modern standard. Right now my system is running neck and neck with an average mid-grade Intel i5 gaming system, and runs max settings on most games including Diablo 3 and almost maxed out on WoW. Windows 7 Performance Index Processor - 6.3 RAM - 7 Graphics - 7.6 Gaming Graphics - 7.6 Primary Hard Disk - 5.9 Right now mine is bottle-necked at the hard drive level, as I am not yet running the OS on any of my SSD's. But if you notice, the RAM performance at 7.. That is way above what standard DDR2 PC6400 RAM runs, which is usually 5.7 to 5.9, and its because of the faster AMD X2 CPU that has higher hyper transport bus speeds.
Basically the same setup i was running on till 2011 when i upgraded to my current phenom II x2 555 and HD 6770... Always been an ATI/AMD low budget peasant :)
I got an old build recently I have that CPU and it's a GREAT overclocker! Took it from 1.8ghz to 2.4ghz with air cooling :) Got an nvidia GT200 which lets it down, so will probably get a 8800GT, hopefully that CPU won't bottleneck it though
are you gonna do an ultimate older build? Not a modifies decomissioned computer, but scrambling the cheapest components that run on about this level? Case not included (It might as well be cardboard anyway) Also, with older CPUs can you say which OS you're running on?
do you want to know what i`m thinking what you should add to your videos? the entire system working. Not a live exactly, but i`m curious to see how those budget/old systems you are running looks like.
lol, haven't noticed that the $1.20 CPU is an Athlon 64 x2 4200+. I still have one of those laying around, that thing gave me lots of playtime in NFS Underground and Underground 2 XD
You should try running Mirror's Edge on this setup. It's quite pretty and fun(and one of the very few games about parkour), and runs well on low(not lowest) settings/800x600 on my e5500/ati radeon hd 2400 pro(which is far crappier than the 2600 xt).
Hey guys, building a nice lga775 system (I commented on an earlier video) Watching these videos inspired me to make a nice, older build. Here are the specs: Cpu: Core 2 Quad q9500(will oc later hopefully RAM: Only 4gb ddr3 since the mobo I could buy only supported 4 gb GPU: 550ti, it was 31 USD Future plans: SSD and maybe a mobo upgrade for more ram
Yo, you gonna test out AMD Ryzen 5/3 when they come out? Because, well, you always say you try to save us money and the entry-level Ryzen 5 and 3 SKUs seem like pretty great modern CPUs for the money (based on leaks, anyway). For reference, the highest-end Ryzen 5 SKU, the 6c12t 1600X, will go for $239, while the 4c8t 1400 will go for $169, and then the Ryzen 3 family (1100 - 1200X) will retail for $129 - $149. Surely some of them will be nice for a budget build, right?
maybe this is a dumb question but on games without a built in benchmark how do you get the average FPS? I know there are programs such as FRAPS and MSI afterburner that show current FPS but I was unaware they gave any average over X amount of playtime though to be honest I never really looked for that option. unless your staring at the FPS counter and sort of eyeballing it.
Ive been using that CPU for 10 years had to upgrade in the last year bcuz of overheating problems. I had no problem with any of the mainstream games : LOL CS:GO etc..
2:02 dab boi
Thank You for pointing out this kind gesture. I have thanked you now sir you must do the welcoming back to me
Seres Róbert / woodoo I will do this at my funeral !
Dang, beat me to it by 40 minutes.
Ew
Can it run Crysis? Yes, 60fps :)
2$ to perform as good as a 2013 macbook pro
excuse me is over 2$ (lol hahahaha)
dont forget about the other components, especially the motherboard
Dont tell them that, someone might get upset.
Lol
*Sees Graphics Card for 1.55*
*Sees Paypal: 1.95 USD*
I think im getting something now.
Ziimbiian. haha go for it
RandomGaminginHD ill be getting a new pc soon, but I still watch this channel, even though it's a pretty beefy rig I'm getting(1070 and i5 7500) i think all this old hardware is interesting, and putting all the hardware to see how far it can go is really cool
Frisbie147 I renember the 7970 Video here, i was so impressed about it that i even wanted to buy it from him XP
Shipping for 40 cents? Where are these miracles? :v
Frisbie147 any chance to have a look at ryzen 5 or 3? they are the "i5-i3" class you might save some cash who knows maybe you get a faster storage or even 1080..
This is a bit too expensive for me!
Ikr!
Are you homeless?
Now this is a true low budget system :-DD
RaptoRdaKing "pocket change gaming rig "
True for CPU and GPU, IF you only upgrade, but you still need mobo, RAM, PSU and the case if you have nothing.
gapek1 you could still could find something online for less than £30 if you look xD (whole tower with all components) but probably wouldn't be able to upgrade it that much
Bob12345smile_XD £5 is manageable.
I don't think you can go any lower than this as far as paying for it. Lol.
imagine in 15 years you'll be able to buy an rx480 and an i5 4670 for the same price. would be funny to see
DudeHowDareU? be interesting then to hear people talk about gtx titan and the likes while laughing at their performance.
one problem though, I don't like the part where I'll be 15 years older
it will be so nostalgic, because we were living in their glory days.
Depends how fast things will develop moving forward, but it'll still be fun either way :P
and the titan xp is going to be like 20$
eeh
DudeHowDareU? But i dont think that game graphics could improve much more than what we have so probably no
You should do a 4k gaming pc for 1.52€ :D
yes
you mean $21.60?
Kristjan thats impossible
maybe in 10 years lol
doom in 4k would work without sweat.
1 dislike in a 4 minutes video released 2 minutes ago....
Mr Objection haters will hate.
Idiots they are as this is (other than GHG) the BEST pc channel on RUclips
Mr Objection not always accurate
what if you 50 way crossfire that graphics card and get 50 times the performance for $77.50. Nah just wait for vega.
Sephis G. in some games, Yes.
power bill and power consumption..
gonna have to buy a hell of a PSU
coffee it can get close but never doubles, and for each additional GPU it gets further away from it.
even though i couldnt play res like this and fps like this i always find it interesting nice vid been here a while now
John Cena john cenas rich though so you're a fake how dare you
PLEASE CONTINUE THE GREAT WORK! LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!
Thank you so much! I've been waiting for this video and I've been so excited for it
Enjoy watching older hardware paired,Keep up the good work mate,Bless up :)
since when does 1.50 + 1.25 = 2.70?
ikr
Andrew Borgstahl Magic
Andrew Borgstahl its $1.50 + $1.20
Then why is the title 1.50 + 1.25?
The title says $2.70 worth of CPU and GPU power
I thought getting a QX6850 would be a cheap performance boost.
xeon E5450 X5450/60/70 are way better if your motherboard supports 45nm cpus
I know, but my old PC only supports 65nm cpus, unless I flash it to a different boards BIOS (which I'm probably gonna do and get a Q9650 instead)
bad.. anyway try to check if your motherboard is compatible for the 771-775 mod, if flash the bios and buy the xeon, they are better in every way, they are faster clock to clock (10% faster) cheaper, and thanks to 45nm they overclock better due to the less heat, i know it because my E5450 reach 60C when stresed at 4.0 ghz
zigo zano I've got the crappy IPIBL-LA board, I think it does have the bios mod available for LGA 771 chips, but I wouldn't be able to overclock it.
Clicked on this in a heartbeat
hey rginhd i just wanted to say that i really enjoy your videos which i had started watching about 2 months ago and you have definetly change my perspective on gaming computers and the daily upload definetly makes up the 4 min vids
Honors to you and your work, you are one of this youtubers which deserves MUCH more subs and views :D
Don't let this distract you from the fact that if you or a loved one has been diagnosed with mesothelioma, you may be entitled to financial compensation
SwaggieBoss I'm a paid non attorney spokesperson ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
I see that Nissan 180SX/240SX S13 in NFS underground
im actually really excited to see something like this. especially to see my favorite NFS game being played. i have two Ps2 consoles that i adore so much, but for some reason (mostly because they are nearing their last legs) ive wanted to build a smaller / old school pc to play a lot of the same games on and this really helped me set the pace for it. nice work as always.

I like your channel man, you do stuff that others wouldn't even bother doing.. keep up the great work man

0:03 regular viewer? pffff i only watch your videos all day. your channel and some others are really special
RandomGaminginHD uploaded a new vid... *click!*
*nice*
I love what you do on this channel keep up the good work. so much fun

I think these vintage processor videos are pretty cool.
Finally, you did my suggestion! I thought you never would!
I fucking love this channel. Extreme spec circle-jerking gets boring real quick.
What a blast from the past, I remember when Far Cry was one of the most popular benchmark games.
Cool video, awesome seeing you doing this stuff, keep up the hard work
Hey random gamer you have just earned a new subscriber nice content man keep it up
Basically the same setup i was running on till 2011 when i upgraded to my current phenom II x2 555 and HD 6770... Always been an ATI/AMD low budget peasant :)
yes those flames are back
I got more excited when i saw these two components together, than Batman and Superman in BvS
I got an old build recently I have that CPU and it's a GREAT overclocker!
Took it from 1.8ghz to 2.4ghz with air cooling :)
Got an nvidia GT200 which lets it down, so will probably get a 8800GT, hopefully that CPU won't bottleneck it though
2nd video, 1st was the $1.55 GPU
i love this channel
Keep up the greatt work man. You make great videos!
what is that racing game your playing for b-roll? 1:13
are you gonna do an ultimate older build?
Not a modifies decomissioned computer, but scrambling the cheapest components that run on about this level? Case not included (It might as well be cardboard anyway)
Also, with older CPUs can you say which OS you're running on?
HL2 never ceases to amaze, it still looks great.
100k SUBS Congrats!!
You know shits real when it has a flame going across it.......
next up server board with 2 ATI 2600 XT in sli and 2 AMD 64 X2 4200+ in the two server board sockets
Similar to my previous PC which my son still uses; An AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000 @ 3.00Ghz, HD4870 and 8GB DDR2. Perfect for Command and Conquer!
do you want to know what i`m thinking what you should add to your videos? the entire system working. Not a live exactly, but i`m curious to see how those budget/old systems you are running looks like.
lol, haven't noticed that the $1.20 CPU is an Athlon 64 x2 4200+. I still have one of those laying around, that thing gave me lots of playtime in NFS Underground and Underground 2 XD
can you do a video on the AMD FX 6100 processor and the radeon rx 460?
Amazing value/performance :D
**Nice Video** If Only I Had Enough 0-0
You should try running Mirror's Edge on this setup. It's quite pretty and fun(and one of the very few games about parkour), and runs well on low(not lowest) settings/800x600 on my e5500/ati radeon hd 2400 pro(which is far crappier than the 2600 xt).
pc with same gpu and cpu as this and 2gb ram sell here for about 50-80 euros :D
I love these low spec build videos
It would be great if you could compare iGPUs to cheap graphic cards! How much power should a graphics card have at least so it gets worth buying?
you should use afterburner's osd to monitor stuff. so we can see more than just the fps meter ;)
2:38 "all the details set to low" the text says medium...
Interesting results ! How about overclocking both ??
If I got a $10 CPU this would be a perfect budget build. Would a core 2 quad p6600 go well with two of the 2600’s?
wow that was more interesting than I thought it would be
2:51 I love how 2 dollars worth of equipment is as powerful as an Xbox 360. 😂😂😂
à video about the ATI 512 mo DDR2 svp !!!!! ( sorry, my english IS Bad, i'm french )
there would have been a point where I would have oogled after those components wishfully 😂
F7GOS eyy, im subbed to you fam
I'd love to see a video on budget gaming monitors
RageSquid crts m8
ein Kekman CRTs cost more in the long run
guys i have ddr3 mobo is it ok to get any brand/unit of ddr3 ram ?
I am always amused with these videos.
Hey guys, building a nice lga775 system (I commented on an earlier video) Watching these videos inspired me to make a nice, older build. Here are the specs: Cpu: Core 2 Quad q9500(will oc later hopefully
RAM: Only 4gb ddr3 since the mobo I could buy only supported 4 gb
GPU: 550ti, it was 31 USD
Future plans: SSD and maybe a mobo upgrade for more ram
Turning the shadows down in League increases performance by a long shot
Can you please do some lower-end builds? This is way beyond my budget!
Eat one sandwich or build one old game PC: This will be my question if i not living in Brazil
RAW POWR THIS IS WHAT THE MASTERRACE IS ABOUT!
the fact that you can play a game like gta 4 on those that cost less than the game is crazy cool
Hey, do you think you could do a video about eGPUs trough Expresscard for older laptops?
Fun story, I have an old PC that has a X2 4600+ and XT 2600, such a coincidence, that PC handles things decently, does exactly what I want it to do.
Yo, you gonna test out AMD Ryzen 5/3 when they come out? Because, well, you always say you try to save us money and the entry-level Ryzen 5 and 3 SKUs seem like pretty great modern CPUs for the money (based on leaks, anyway).

this is worth more than my entire setup
that moment when a $3 gaming rig is better than your $1000 rig
"Cost of a sandwich" - hilarious!
I can't seem these parts anywhere near the prices you got them for....or did use a local retailer instead of Ebay
I have a question what if you did the gtx 295 sli benchmark
@randomgaminginHD have you overclocked the X3430 yet?
Could you test older parts on mount and blade warband?
maybe this is a dumb question but on games without a built in benchmark how do you get the average FPS? I know there are programs such as FRAPS and MSI afterburner that show current FPS but I was unaware they gave any average over X amount of playtime though to be honest I never really looked for that option. unless your staring at the FPS counter and sort of eyeballing it.
0blivi0n100 try googling it.
what exactly do you do with all these cheap parts you buy? Most of them aren't really good enough to put into another PC to sell.
underground 2 boi.... for the true hardcore nostalgiacs
Can you test old cards like these in SLI and Crossfire?
I have this cpu on my old pc and it even runs cs go,tf2 at 120fps when paired with 4gb ram and radeom 4850
Makes me feel even more proud that I got a GTX 1050ti today
Do a whole system for less than 20 dollars. Like a fully custom one obviously used problaly. But not just a pre built dell with a new gpu
"for the price of a sandwich" where do you buy your sandwiches? M&S?
Sunov can't knock those M&S....
except for a Coop meal deal 😎
Ive been using that CPU for 10 years had to upgrade in the last year bcuz of overheating problems. I had no problem with any of the mainstream games : LOL CS:GO etc..
yay! another graphics video!
David Palmer you can officially say "first" now
Yeah! First!
what if amd athlon II X2 240 pair with hd 4550? is it good for compare with your pc's spec
NFSU2 WAS LIT BACK IN THE DAY
wow.... how much time have changed. I remember paying 600us for my graphic card. that was ten years ago.
Why dont you put on The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, for benchmarking some older components? It's still a pretty fun game to play in my opinion.
This is extremely impressive.
Where Could I buy old hardware at this Price?
