So a full length film was never made, so i think there was never a full length screenplay for the movie only the short film cause an article said they were gonna make a usable screenplay off of the short film. I know, it's just a teaser, I won't miss it being released. Chances are, we've both seen this movie over a dozen times already. The costume is cool, but the main character we may remember from such movies as Darkman, Big Hero 6, The Incredible Hulk, Mr. Freeze, etc...it's a slick trailer, but honestly, I don't see anything potentially ground-breaking.
No offense but your way if thinking seems to cold and logical, like a machine. It doesn't matter if you've seen the plot a dozen times, it's all about how you tell the story. A good director can make wonders even with the most cliche plot.

For those of you wondering what happened to this movie … this is it. This is basically all the footage they shot. They were hoping this trailer (which basically amounts to a short film) would generate enough buzz to get proper studio backing to finance the rest of the movie. Sadly, that didn’t work out. So now this is all we’re going to be getting from it.
They had a studio that was willing to finance the film but apparently one of the actors that was supposed to be in the film had scheduling conflicts (I'm assuming it was Neal McDonough) and that's when the studio decided to back out

Yeah, LOL. Do some web searching and you'll find out this movie doesn't actually even exist. It's almost 2014 as I write this. The movie is in "pre-production" and this was a proof of concept trailer created in mid-2012.

I can't believe that people were trashing the Andrew Will trailer for quality and concept when this new movie looks half-bad video game and half-bad 80s SciFi. The writer/director made this along with Bandito Brothers and the producers. They then used it to shop around and get it picked up by a film studio. For those of you wondering what happened to this movie … this is it. This is basically all the footage they shot. They were hoping this trailer (which basically amounts to a short film) would generate enough buzz to get proper studio backing to finance the rest of the movie. Sadly, that didn’t work out. So now this is all we’re going to be getting from it.

They had a studio that was willing to finance the film but apparently one of the actors that was supposed to be in the film had scheduling conflicts (I'm assuming it was Neal McDonough) and that's when the studio decided to back out
I also remember watching a similar video, except it was about an old antique Hundson Super Six or Hudson Wasp (idk) being chased on the skyway of a futristic city with a flying police vehicle announcing to the main character (dressed in similar old attire to the car with maybe a flatcap on his head) thatvhe is under arrest for driving an "illegal and outdated" car.
I haven't seen it since, and I'm wondering if someone could help me find it...

I contacted the producer and the composer of the soundtrack that were credited at the end of the trailer and they both told me the same thing. They have been rewriting the screenplay over the years to make the action meet the standards of today's films, they're just hoping some investor will see this trailer and invest in the project

dannern98 It's in pre-production guys, this was a proof of concept trailer which was presented to the film studio to show what the director could do with a corporate credit card, Variant turned round and told them to polish it up whilst they wait for all the 'super hero' and generic action flicks penciled in for last year and this year move out of the metroplexes, I wouldn't be surprised if its not released until 2016, but make or break will happen on annual studio production development reports in 2015, there's been quite a few Sci-Fi flicks canned already after entering preproduction, Neuromancer being one of them, the other genre bending HP Lovecraft horror/sci-fi Cthuluh mythos flick by Del Torro.

Yeah, LOL. Do some web searching and you'll find out this movie doesn't actually even exist. It's almost 2014 as I write this. The movie is in "pre-production" and this was a proof of concept trailer created in mid-2012.

detubeme No it doesn't resemble the video game all that much except that humans are involved and it takes place of earth. That's about where the similarity ends. I can't believe that people were trashing the Andrew Will trailer for quality and concept when this new movie looks half-bad video game and half-bad 80s SciFi. Some of the scenes look like they came out of an Amiga PC like the work done on "The Last Starfigher". Don't get me wrong, "The Last Starfighter" was a pretty good movie, with ok special effects, in 1984! This is 30 years later and that's the best this new movie could afford?
Teasing us with that and not delivering was a very cruel joke :(

Is not the Prototype I was expecting, has no relation in terms of story to the game, yet has him wear street clothes resembling Alex Mercer. And now I find out that this movie is one year late, it is doomed to fail at this point but if it does come out, I'm still watching it.
Someone needs to start a Kickstarter to produce this and create general awareness.

@@Mr.nyor01 nah, it's legit. It's technically not a teaser trailer though. Proof of concept better describes it, as most of this footage wasn't meant to be used in the feature length. The writer/director made this along with Bandito Brothers and the producers.
They then used it to shop around and get it picked up by a film studio. It was picked up and canceled twice, and is now on development hell.
