The amount of "near finished" content in the files like the Banished shotgun, the Falcon, Armament Blaster, Spiker, etc. just sitting there for YEARS now and not coming out is insane.
And for the rationale not to finish them for all that time being that one or two of the lead roles to sign off on finishing them aren't staffed ... dude, get the contributors on the team to do the work and get a director to sign off on it if you're not going to fill the positions until the next game is further along. It's not rocket science.
The devs that were responsible for working on sandbox content got all fired, even to this day, 343 is struggling to hire new devs, so its never happening sadly.
@Darizzard93 Most of the new devs and new management are in full development towards next halo game, a very tiny skeleton crew is barely holding infinite together, lets see where this goes. Could the next Halo be a masterpiece since Reach? Who knows......
this has always been one of the biggest issues i had with their takeover.. Halo was KNOWN and LOVED for its military theme and the realism of it. The dialogue, the importance and presence of the UNSC, the characters The Ranking system in reach… And soooooo much more that they just let out of the later games. Halo does not have its identity anymore and this has been a problem for a long time
I get the disdain for the new "identity" of halo. However halo was always a space opera rather than military sci-fi. The more militaristic gritty feel was something only in reach. I don't know if I should feel sadness, anger, or apathy for one of my favorite series now.
Actually insane that Microsoft shutters studios like Tango after one good game while 343 has been allowed to mismanage the Halo series for 12 years at this point
they aren't doing that bad of a job. A lot of the microtransactions was probably on Microsoft and I still think halo infinite was a very fun game to play
Feels good to be right about this from the very start if people actually put their money where their mouth is they’d get good games that’s why fanbases like cod will never have a good game
Honestly the fact that colors were monetized in this game should have been warning enough that Infinite isn't as good as the hype made it seem. Like I could understand armor but the fact that you can't even pick your own COLORS is horrifying.
Exactly. While Chief's personality was kinda left unscathed by Halo 4, Cortana was utterly destroyed. Her character was changed COMPLETELY from how it was. Halo 5 is the game that managed to disgrace both Chief and Cortana. I wouldn't have minded some of its new characters if they had a single iota of charm or anything interesting about them. While Chief was decent in Infinite, that game did nothing with its story or gameplay at all so I guess nothing could've been ruined.
@@emperorfridgethedude I haven't read it, but apparently the recent Didact book did a lot to salvage that by confirming that the gravemind's interrogation corrupted Cortana. Which does make 4-5 make a bit more sense, and granted a lot of players had already guessed it ... but it should have been confirmed in the game. Would it have cost them more than 30-40 seconds of cutscene dialog in 5 to have John challenge her on whether her megalomaniacal personality change resulted from the "pieces wrong, out of place" she talked about after he rescued her in 3, and her react with angry denial that actually confirms his fears?
@@xcfjdyrkdtulkgfilhu Well that's good, I suppose. I still wish her personality was more intact near the beginning of Halo 4, but I guess that sort of just comes with different writers.
Precisely. The narrative focus is what made halo so legendary. Halo 3 has almost no character presence yet so many people see that games campaign as profound. People will instinctively point to the lack of characters as a flaw. But that’s not necessarily the case.
Man this game make me so sad, i remember being so hyped for infinite and wanted halo to be popular again, fuck 343 microsoft for ruining it ,. I bought limited edition of xbox series x imported from usa now its collecting dust , not going to buy any microsoft shit in future
There is only three reasons i still have a xbox: •18 years of saved game data. •my favorite games from the 2000s are on there. •im used to the controls Microsoft has *killed* the console i love.
@@dreadlocsamurai4241 were there always complaints and criticism. Of course it's a piece of media, that's bound to happen. However, it's when 343 forced us to accept their COD rip off did we begin to become miserable. It's when we were forced to accept their trash we began to become miserable. If you think other wise, you're a fool.
Halo 2 Anniversary is amazing though. Lowkey one of my favorite games and MCC in general is just an awesome concept (after it's been bug fixed for years.)
Only thing I could think of is the 343 halo is just chief in cryo still dreaming of all the events that happened or ‘nightmares’. I don’t know. It’s a stupid idea for sure. And so cliche, but if people wanna ever think that, there’s that idea.
Ubernick and other 343 shills constantly bootlicking 343's constant fu*k ups is conditioning people to accept mediocrity and failure. Because of people like them we will never see a halo game as good as the 2001-2010s.
At this point, "Microsoft Gaming" is a lost cause. Microsoft's management sucks and it's never going to improve. I expect the next Halo game to be an unfinished multiplayer-only soulless live service mobile game with a shit load of macrotransactions that yet again chases all the popular trends in order to compete with CoD mobile (which it wouldn't even come REMOTELY close). I also expect the game to be EVEN WORSE than my expectation. It's up to the fans to create a good Halo game now ("be the change you want to see").
The forced positivity in the halo community is ridiculous. Sorry guys, but you gotta realize when sometimes telling someone something sucks is the better thing to do.
Every halo RUclipsr was guilty of this when halo infinite came out, then they finally came to their senses like 2 years later because of course 343 was going to disappoint
Multiplayer side, Halo is every live service shooter but ten times worse. Campaign side, Halo is a book series that has a few games based on it. I'm actually really happy for the people who like Infinite, cause their minds are going to be blown out of their fucking skulls if we get an actually good modern Halo.
Modern halo? Make halo 7 good and make halo 7 closer to the fan service of halo 3. Stop making halo like call of duty and may be will start too see some baby steps
@@JimmmmmmmmmmmY I hope so but I would prefer if they make it like halo 2 , halo 3 was the beginning of the end for halo the lack of violence in that game was so uncalled for how did we go from halo 1 and halo 2 having lots of blood and gore to halo 3 having very little blood and some gore here and there with the flood enemies but not much?
@@DINOMAN1337YT With respect, I disagree. While I DEFINITELY have my problems with Halo 3's campaign, the lack of gore is not one of them. Halo 3 had those scripted moments where Brutes were killing and interrogating Marines. It also had the real-time Flood infections and being able to shoot Grunts' masks and methane tanks off. Halo 3 had more implied gore than gore that was explicitly shown. In my opinion, that's when gore fulfills its purpose the best. When your brain is left to fill in the blank on what could've happened and how messy it would've been.
@@emperorfridgethedudeI was confused when they said “lack of gore”. That scene of the marine getting dog piled by infection forms and getting contorted like a toy for the flood freaking stuck with me on dark nights lmao
god yeah the banished made such a good impression in HW2 but then they turned into just Red Covenant. all the cool unique armor designs and stuff from HW2, the cool industrial space pirate aesthetic, and it's gone. they just hate humanity cause Cortana now
I'm just not a fan of Halo games since 343 took over. They have no idea how to create compelling characters, write existing characters and tell meaningful stories. They've retconned so much old lore that events that take place don't even make sense. Infinite was the closest they've gotten to mp feeling like Halo but is still lacking. Just such a sad state, Halo is in. With Bungies big send-off in Halo Reach to then get Halo 4 and watch the franchise crumble. When I say Bungie, I refer to old Bungie, not Destiny Bungie, as many old members were either outed or left the company during that time.
The thing about what you said there is. The reason 4 and 5 turned out as it did was because it was the story bungie left for 343. 343 was just trying to find ways to make it fit cause when they saw the story board. They didn't think it fit. So they tried new things. Which did of course made it worse. They learned from that. One thing about 343 is that these are og halo fans working on this series now. Sure they fumbled to develop 4 and 5. But the story wasn't there fault in the slightest. Infinite was there first game where they finally could make the story on there own. And honestly infinite did good so far. Story wise. But people are complaining over multiplayer and microtransactions. Which I personally don't have a problem with, I do see why people are upset. But figure this. 343 is trying to find the best ways to make halo great again. But people are asking to be like old halo again. The thing is they can't repeat that. They aren't allowed to. But what they can do us find a way to make it better. Personally so far halo infinite got the best gameplay mechanics of the modern Era. And with microtransactions, that's just Microsoft greed, doing that, plus if it was just 343 doing it. They would be doing to keep up with development since it's a free multiplayer experience. Mfs are spending 80 dollars for 5000 vbucks for like what 3 or 4 skins? On fortnite? I think we are just being biased at this point because we miss old halo that we just love to find ways to complain about this.. If that money is all for the development of halo 7. I'm here for it.
@@EasyTargetNIN 343 could've taken Halos story wherever they wanted. If they wanted to do a story with master chief and stick with the Halo 3 legendary ending the only 2 things that were required was chief on a piece of forward unti dawn and going towards a mysteries object. They did, and then they went on to create their own storiy with Halo 4, 5, and so on. Much of Bungie lore was not a factor in the 343s games, and why cause they retconned so much of it to create their own thing. They are also able to do the old game style as they please simple because Bungie does not have the rights to Halo it is solely with Microsoft as part of the deal during the split to go work on destiny. The reason they didn't originally is even documented in their vods. They hired people, some that don't even like Halo to make it better, and with all the inputs and Frank leading, it ended up not being Halo but Call of Duty and chasing its trends. You can like the new Halos all you want, but for me and many of the old fans, 343 has continually shown they do not know and are not capable of making good stories, characters, a working/finished game and jjust in general do not know what Halo really is. People do not like the Mtx cause one big part of Halo MP was customising your Spartans and earning those items through gameplay. However, that part is just modern gaming it's hard to avoid. I even see people say that they didn't know where to take master chief, and if that's the case, just leave him in space until you do. 2 of Bungies fan favourite stories do not even have master chief in them being ODST and Reach because they were good stories with compelling characters that showed a different side of Halo. It is not being biased towards 343. They just can not make good stories, characters, and so on that resemble Halo. I mean, hell, most of their games have been broken, lacking content, and so on for months or in MCCs case years after launch. They lost a lot of old fans due to this, but even assuming mp is all you play, you went from Halo Reach to Call of Duty with Halo 4 as an attempt to bring in the COD players which didn't work overalm They went for Halo 5 to focus heavily on competitive players, which again didn't work. So you now have 3 different types of players Old Halo, H4/COD players, and those that enjoy the hyper-competitive advanced movement of H5, and now they can't make a game to please any without upsetting another type of player because they lack a vision of what a Halo game should be.
Like retconning the cause of the Insurrection nuking a city from “UNSC nuked an innie ship in space” to “UNSC nuked a colony. “ and tries to portray the TERRORISTS FASCISTS as sympathetic freedom fighters. And the Insurrection as a popular Outer Colony uprising when originally it was just some terrorists and pirates seizing colonies that were basically towns and massacring anyone who spoke out
Im 2013 it was “if they just remove sprint and loadouts, Halo will be back!!!” In 2024 the list of things that need to be brought back to even get us to where we were in Halo 4 is just depressing. If you asked 2013 me to come predict 343s poor decisions I don’t think I could’ve predicted how bad a job 343 actually ended up doing. From campaign design, to colour customisation, to in game lobbies, Ui and social features, 343’s degradation of Halo has ruined so many areas of this franchise that at this point I’m actually impressed. The only CHANCE that future halo game is good would be a remaster/ remake (although I think we’re all sick if those now), or a release from an independent studio not micromanaged by Microsoft.
The Halo TV show killed Halo for me, the fact that it exists upsets me. People who claim they are true Halo fans and praise the show are not true Halo fans, they are just casuals who don’t understand Halo. I’ve been playing Halo since the launch of Halo CE and I’m telling you now, it’s not Halo.
Also funny how those coping HaloTubers claimed that 2024 would be Halo Infinite’s year ‘cause I also keep seeing some people trying to gas up this year as Halo 5’s comeback year 🤡
I really believe the Halo show, could've revived the franchise, looked what happened with Fallout, the show was a banger, and everyone and thier mothers came back to play fallout games. The current show was a final nail in the coffin for me. It was a long time coming from the mid-offs from the campaigns of Halo 4, 5 and infinite. It is very sad to see your beloved franchise die a slow and painful death. Star Wars, Halo, Gear of war. I have moved on from all of them sadly.
I legit sold off my Series X because of 343i and Microsoft's spin on Halo being absolutely dreadful. Halo 5's campaign glitched out on the first level and I refused to finish my Legendary run. I finished Halo Infinite Legendary solo and I hated it because the bosses are just pure and utter dog shit. It was cool to have that under my GT profile, but after I finished it, I couldn't even be brought to finish co-op runs with others. I spent a lot of time trying to get up to Diamond in Ranked and I just couldn't. The network update did nothing for the game. I had a chance to replay it during the new update and my first match was in a 260 ping lobby. I kept experiencing the same BS I was previously dealing with even on a Fibe connection. When Season 6 dropped, I got slammed all the way back down into like mid Gold because I was forced to fight Onyx players for 3 matches in a row, after it took 3 or 4 seasons to hit Plat. CSR is basically based on K/D, and smurfs could get extremely high K/D in socials, play like a Bronze 1 in placements, and still hit Diamond 5 on accounts that have never hit that high, because their K/D is like 2.25 which is accounted for universally. But now to tone down the smurfs, you've gotta play 50 social games before you can do Ranked. That's at least 8 hours of matches if you were to do it in one go. Normally I would have players be extremely toxic playing in the Onyx lobbies I was put in, but the onyx player that *was* on my team knew something was wrong and thankfully was more understanding about it, instead of being toxic like a lot of higher level players tend to be. On top of matchmaking being horrible and constantly being matched with garbage teammates who don't know how to play as a team in Ranked (Gold being the worst for this), the game's sensitivity settings feel extremely loose compared to MCC, where everything is tight knit and I can actually get kills regardless of the game. Sensitivity should not have to be something hundreds of players have to ask pros to optimize. All in all, Halo, as is Infinite, is pretty much dead at this point when it comes to PVP. I have no hopes for what comes next after Infinite because Microsoft treats it as a cash grab, forgetting everything Halo is known for at its core concept. Franchise is pretty much ruined at this point and it sucks because we all want this series to be successful, and Microsoft's corporate overlords are brain dead. As if the $50 bundles or whatever wasn't stupid enough.
toxic positivity is precisely why we ended up where we are when infinite had SOOO many red flags pre launch, but the overwhelming mood was to sht on anyone who wan't all hype.
Its so easy to make Halo multiplayer fun. Take the battlefield franchise combat then throw on a Halo Skin 32v32 massive Alien invasion wars crazy vehicles crazy weapons give us pelicans give us scarabs give us everything!
Honestly as long as 343i has control of Halo I'm just done with the series. They have shown since they started making Halo games they just can't make them. Lies and fraud is all they are good at.
I actually kinda like the Troy Denning novels that have been releasing over the past few years. He continues Nylund’s Spartan 3s and handles them pretty well. He actually gave them character. They also bridge the Halo 3-4 gap pretty well. None of the cool f***ing lore has been used by 343 though and that is a legit travesty. Like Spartan 3s who have to take emotion regulators because they have adrenaline implants that keep them fighting even AFTER losing their whole rib cage? That’s metal af and it hasn’t been seen yet.
I absolutely enjoy playing the game and do so every weekend (that's when I get the time given my job takes up my weekdays). While the game had its flaws initially, I am extremely happy with where the game is right now and I know this'll cause an uproar, but this is the best "feeling, playing" Halo game of all time IMO. The game mechanics is solid, gameplay has the appropriate speed (not slow like Halo 3 & before or nutbag fast like CoD) and the sound design is miraculous. Sure, the uncertainty over it's future is saddening but it by no means is a disgrace.
Only read the halo books written by Joseph Staten. Everything else is literally fan fiction. Not even cause not all of the writers are even fans. One of them even hates Sci fi. Can’t make this stuff up.
@@Ho_Lee_Fook You can include a few other books like the Eric Nylund books. But my main point is to be picky and don’t just read any halo books. They literally hired an author that said she design like Sci-fi. Garbage slop that dilutes the franchise and is written by actual randoms.
No, they didn’t, it’s fucking Bethesda fallout which is just as bad as 343 Halo, and I can’t even call the Fallout show a loyal adaptation of Bethesda fallout since it even retcons Bethesda’s lore and not even just the Black Isles canon.
Makes sense, a bad developer studio, terrible games, and a community that tolerates this trash is never good. May you find something new to seal the hole 343 has left in your heart.
Even the 343 devs are done with this game because a decent amount have been moved over to future projects like Halo 7. While certain affinity does something to help IG
What they need to do to save the game is simple. Give us offline content and mods for console and watch the community do 343 Job for them. Live service kills gaming
This whole video is facts, especially the campaign, blew me away at launch how many people were shilling for it when I found it so unbelievably disappointing. The eNdlEsS being a new big bad that's worse than the flood and time travels was super stupid as well.
You gotta understand that those people have extremely low bars for the expected quality & integrity in content. The Grappleshot singlehandedly carried the entire fun factor of the campaign. They'll be happy with really anything that isn't a bold insult (e.g Locke vs Chief fight). I genuinely think H5's campaign is creatively & objectively superior to Infinite's campaign but that's honestly not a high bar.
@@dreadlocsamurai4241 Honestly no. You see these people raving with praise at literally the smallest content updates. 343i added Gruntpocalypse and these people were (for the 31st time) saying "Infinite is saved!!! Game so good!!!11!! All praise 343i". These people have borderline zero expectations and what little expectations they do have are down to sea level. It's hilarious.
Hell yeah, I mean... well... it does kinda blow, I want to have hopes too! Between people like you and me, just go play other games, make videos on those! Someday (hopefully) Halo will turn up to be something that actually WANTS to stand out and be the trend setter it used to be. I completely support the notion as to giving up on the game for its embarrassing developments, I too spoke highly of the game for a long while after they seemed like they were turning it around. Either way, I'll still watch your videos for whatever kind of content you make. Am proud of you bro
This video is very well done and researched. I agree completely with your assessment of Halo infinite. You hit it right on the nose. Other youtubers would just dismiss this as blind negativity when in reality it's just honest critism from people that know that things are not perfect and the game is still unfinished. But they want to make another game when they can't show they can do anything right.
I really thought that they would add a tiny bit of strategy into Halo infinite, save survivors, send out scouts to gather resources and build up areas from camps to full on military outposts where battles could start taking place around the map... but they didn't even give us a good story... again... heck, they outright abandoned the story for multiplayer that obviously wasn't going to last more than 3 years.
The only reason anyone should care about 343 industries now is because their next Halo game will be on Unreal Engine 5. If they make a game as good or better than Halo infinite on the new engine, then and only then do they deserve to continue working on the Halo franchise. they’re going to fuck it up if they cannot abandon contract employers and get people committed to the vision of halo. Turn the ship around before it’s too late. Oh wait it’s already too late. Phil. Spencer said we lose our way with Halo. We lose our way with Xbox. Xbox permanently lost it’s over PlayStation and Nintendo are the clear winners and consoles themselves are dying. AI, cloud and PC platforms will reign supreme for gaming. Clearly it is time for new management at both Microsoft and 343 industries.
The biggest disappointment is definitely the weapons. Plasma weapons feel like shit. And they basically only added the bandit in the span of 2 years. They barely tweaked / balanced the game as well. Like the shotgun could simply be fixed by lowering the spread, increasing range and then modify it's damage. It's like the designers don't even play the game. One weapon added in the span of 2 years is just sad.
The weapon sandbox in infinite sucks, they could've just stuck with the tried and true weapons that people know and love but instead they had to go and put their 343 spin on things and try reinvent the wheel by replacing classic, useful weapons with dogshit guns that nobody asked for. For me one thing that ruins infinites multiplayer is just the mindless choices and mechanics that appeal to casual players. Like 2 grenades to kill a wraith or scorpion and even if you plant 2 grenades into a tank they get a 5 second warning to jump out of the vehicle which completely ruins the stakes. I could keep going but I'm gonna stop myself lmao
The biggest pain halo infinite did to me was how they handle atriox the banished leader i love halo wars 2 campaign and the banish but when halo infinite campaign came out and you find atroix was like "nah ima vanish offscreen bye" i was like well there goes my chance of picking the campaign up now
I uninstalled this game months ago, I logged in after what seemed like 2 minutes and then took over 5 minutes to get a match, another minute for the game to actually begin and then I thought, “why am I playing this?” In BTB the same two maps over and over, pointless game. No reason to play.💯🤦🏻♂️
Thank god, Halo Infinite seems to finally be dead to you. Now you can move on with your life, and hopefully play something even remotely worth the time. Good for you Cubed.
@@TheDirtyCubeMan Why can't you ever ask me to play something thats mediocre at worst? I get that misery loves company man, but come on. You need to stop with the total garbage dude.
My first Halo was Reach, I loved playing it with my dad and during the pandemic I got back into Halo, I got MCC and loved it, then I got Guardians and thought it was alright, then Infinite… I enjoyed the Campaign but everything else sucks
I stopped watching the halo youtubers because every miniscule update they'd glaze 343. this game is dead and i have no faith that the next halo game will be any better.
I think there were two closure points in the Halo franchise. In Halo 3, Bungie finished the story and we finished the fight. Halo Reach was Bungie saying goodbye to the franchise so they could move on to new projects. The only decent thing I can take from the 343 games is Infinites multiplayer. That's about it.
I let my Xbox Live Gold subscription die back in March, at pretty much the same time Halo 5 died for me because it never got fixed with the cheating and being rank-blocked never to progress beyond Diamond 2.
i’m fine with cosmetics being sold in games but i am not ok with them being $20+ every single game that is out. bundles should be $10 and individual skins should be $5. it’s ridiculous that people (me included) buy these things. i bought the cat skin for $20 freakin dollars in MW3. but i can’t justify buying any other skins because 1. cod sucks rn and 2. $20???? brah fallout NVs DLCs we’re $15 a piece when they were new! it’s just disgusting how corporate gaming has became.
stepped away from the actual story and meaning of halo to pursue making more money off of the game . even halo 5 connected to the lore of halo in a sense
Imagine being bored with halos villains, old half robot guy and then robot lady and robot man, then you find out that the villain will be ATRIOX?!!! The guy who single handedly fucked up a 4 man squad of Spartans, only for them to show him for 30 seconds then blue ball you with Atrioxs brains damaged handicap uncle who just face times you every mission and talks about how he’s gonna kick your ass. Literally 10 cutscenes atleast like that in the game. It’s dead guys, i don’t know why we’re still holding out hope? They are puppiting around the corpse of our beloved halo, why do we still look?
The Fat canary in the coal mine was Halo 5 "requisitions". They clearly were going towards the greedy corporate path of mass microtransactions. They have a board of investors driving the path of a once beloved franchise. I promise myself this.... If Nintendo ever starts making me feel the way Microsoft and Sony do, I'll quit my 44 yr hobby of gaming.
I think I agree on what you've said. Halo Infinite should have been released when it was done, entirely developed. When these houses release a game in pieces, you already knows it's a players scam trap. And as Halo fan I'm so sad Microsoft did that to my favorite game brand. But if it can consolate you, it's a general phoenomenin that involves a lot of other big games. Alien: Dark Descent was a game so full of bugs during the launch that still now they are working to fix it. We are still waiting for decent DLC... but nothing on the horizon for now. Homeworld 3 is basically Homeworld 2 for woke people. Atomic Heart was trash full of sexual harsssment. I can bet that many other games had problems of whatever kind but all related to these software houses unwilling to spend money to properly make the games and just puttin all over the idea that we players are so stupid to buy whatever they tell us to buy. We are not cows to milk that these companies can squeeze to get as money as they want with little effort. At this point I just hope that players community will form some good teams that will make mods for the already existing games to get some proper content based on novels. Single player or team players campaigns against Covenant or Flood could be perfect and can be made with little efforts by some. If they join up forces to get an interesting storyline, plot whatever, their mods will be even better than Infinite itself.
I hate the stupid "billions" of different ways to customize your spartan. Its just math. Assuming you only had 10 things to choose from, you would have close to 4 million different options. Raise that number to just 15 options to pick from and you have an astounding 1.5 trillion options to pick from.. doesnt sound outstanding at all when you put it that way. 343 just had to come up with some marketing argon to hype up their shitty crosscore system. Also great video brother. Earned a sub
Genuinely I know people want to move on and I get that 100% but a part of me wants them to never leave support for this game I’m tired of them fucking shit up and moving on I want them to suffer and lose money by continuing support for this game, idk how that would happen but it’s just wishful thinking
Why is 343 still able to make Halo games? We’ve been waiting for a good Halo game for 14 years. The next Halo game would have to be absolutely spectacular for me to buy it
Well said. It’s also nice to hear someone call out how poor the campaign is. Everyone was so busy rightfully shitting on the lack of content and micro transactions that the campaign seemingly got a pass, and even praise
The amount of people I see get this wrong is embarrassing: everything that enters than leaves the exchange he will be able to be purchased with SP in the armory after it leaves the exchange it says so in game in the news section you jumping silly jelly bean
Look, if you want, Alien: Dark Descent is a good game. It have a good lore, good gameplay. It's a good "comeback" for the Alien genre despite it's full of bugs and it's not an FPS. Still I've spent more time on that single title than everything else. If not anything, it's good for wasting few hours here and there. Personalization of characters isn't perfect because they need more but it isn't just two faces and two skins. It's kinda "fair"... I advise you to spend a couple of hours on that if you want. Not more. It will be a refreshing pause between more serious things.
My Xbox stopped running halo and idk how I’m going to start playing again. The last time I’ve played might’ve been the last time I’ve ever played halo 😢
I'm still a little surprised that people are upset with this. Not saying this is bad because it is... what I'm saying is how did people not see this coming? It was clear in how they advertised the game that what they wanted was to try and get the players into the multiplayer and the cash shop right out of the gate. This was basically the intent of Infinite... create a basic campaign which also hints on 'Hey go to the multiplayer! Ooooh and we have a cash shop! Hmmm... multiplayer... cash shop... ehhh!' It's why they didn't even bother to finish the campaign story because all the campaign was for was to try to get people in the door so they could sell them at the cash shop. This is why once I finished the campaign I was done with the game and never bothered with a single game in multiplayer. In the past Halo was a campaign game that was well done with the added benefit of fun and accessible multiplayer. 343 Halo is a multiplayer game primarily selling items for cash that had a campaign basically slapped in as a secondary to it's multiplayer.
I have given up hope for Halo, 343 is a terrible dev team and they hate Halo. There’s no other reason why they continually shove it into irrelevancy. It’s easier to believe it died after reach, im just happy I got to experience it at its peak.
I’ll always love Halo:Reach and Halo 3:ODST but that’s it! Those are the only two games that I actually genuinely enjoyed playing outta all the others.
Halo died when H2 was taken offline. We didnt even realize it at the time playing H3. I always wanted to play H2 but H3 was the 'new game'. I had no idea H2 would be the last god tier game. Crazy, tbh.
Thank god. We should have multiple companies work on halo 343 clearly can’t do it. Art style is good tho. Honestly they should just make it an unreal engine five at this point I don’t know just anything
At this point it's just sad for the game and not the developers. The remaining devs (that weren't burned out from constant dev swapping before launch or fired by Microsoft post launch) abandoned it and left most of it to the community.
It's so sad because I've come back to this a couple times since it's release, even just last week. And I have fun for a little while. But EVERY time I come back, it's the SAME SHIT. and that would be fine, if there was a good amount of content. But it STILL feels like it's in a beta phase. I'm also glad someone else calls Charlie out on his shit take on the game
Where's the content outside of maps: the lead programmer was let go last year when the falcon was announced. As far as i know, no one will take the job because the 343 employees who were in charge of making the campaign who got fired from Microsoft last year basically told everyone in the industry not to apply. And the developers apparently listened. No one will fix Halo infinite as long as Microsoft forces employees to work temporary 18 month contracts.
Average 343 L
The devs that were responsible for working on sandbox content got all fired, even to this day, 343 is struggling to hire new devs, so its never happening sadly.
@Darizzard93 Most of the new devs and new management are in full development towards next halo game, a very tiny skeleton crew is barely holding infinite together, lets see where this goes. Could the next Halo be a masterpiece since Reach? Who knows......
I knew that wasn’t coming out lmao
343 took the "military" out of Halo's military sci fi theme and threw that shit in the trash so fast when they took over.
This 👏🏼
this has always been one of the biggest issues i had with their takeover..
Halo was KNOWN and LOVED for its military theme and the realism of it.
The dialogue, the importance and presence of the UNSC, the characters
The Ranking system in reach…
And soooooo much more that they just let out of the later games.

Honestly the fact that colors were monetized in this game should have been warning enough that Infinite isn't as good as the hype made it seem. Like I could understand armor but the fact that you can't even pick your own COLORS is horrifying.
And the fact 343 devs will ban you if you talk about anything thats not praising it ..
A reason why 343 stories aren’t as good is because they try to be character driven ones rather than narrative ones
@@xcfjdyrkdtulkgfilhu
Well that's good, I suppose.

Agreed. A lot of people are in denial. Covenant Canon is a good example of this, the guy is ridiculous when it comes to forcing positivity for Halo.

@@DINOMAN1337YT
With respect, I disagree.

I miss OG Bungie Halo...
@@truebacon133, truer words have never been spoken.
Funny that you say that because Destiny Bungie absolutely ended the saga with a bang.

And the Insurrection as a popular Outer Colony uprising when originally it was just some terrorists and pirates seizing colonies that were basically towns and massacring anyone who spoke out
Im 2013 it was “if they just remove sprint and loadouts, Halo will be back!!!”
In 2024 the list of things that need to be brought back to even get us to where we were in Halo 4 is just depressing.
Halo needs to be owned by a company that actually cares about it, AND(more importantly), it needs to be owned by people who PLAY the game.

Honestly no video game should make a 10 year promise at all in my opinion
toxic positivity is precisely why we ended up where we are when infinite had SOOO many red flags pre launch, but the overwhelming mood was to sht on anyone who wan't all hype.
Never gave infinite any money and never will as long as 343 is at the reigns
Its so easy to make Halo multiplayer fun. Take the battlefield franchise combat then throw on a Halo Skin 32v32 massive Alien invasion wars crazy vehicles crazy weapons give us pelicans give us scarabs give us everything!
More like Battlefront because Halo deserves playable factions too.
Great video. I’ve been saying they can’t make a full story since halo 4. It’s just been cliff hangers. Great point about the daily Spartan points!

You gotta understand that those people have extremely low bars for the expected quality & integrity in content. The Grappleshot singlehandedly carried the entire fun factor of the campaign. They'll be happy with really anything that isn't a bold insult (e.g Locke vs Chief fight).
They should have brought the ODSTS I mean come on u have squads to save at least 1 team of ODSTS would have been good 😭
I still find it crazy how we only got 1 additional weapon... and they restored the plasma pistol they didn't add it.
I literally couldn’t agree more
The only reason anyone should care about 343 industries now is because their next Halo game will be on Unreal Engine 5.

It's crazy how the *beta* for Halo: Reach had more content before it was released. 😷
While the story telling was ass, the overall campaign experience was a blast, by far the most content in a 343 halo title(campaign).
I let my Xbox Live Gold subscription die back in March, at pretty much the same time Halo 5 died for me because it never got fixed with the cheating and being rank-blocked never to progress beyond Diamond 2.
At his point any game that tries to imitate Destiny dies lol. 10 year plan, look where that got them, while D2 is thriving right now.
i’m fine with cosmetics being sold in games but i am not ok with them being $20+ every single game that is out. bundles should be $10 and individual skins should be $5. it’s ridiculous that people (me included) buy these things. i bought the cat skin for $20 freakin dollars in MW3. but i can’t justify buying any other skins because 1. cod sucks rn and 2. $20???? brah fallout NVs DLCs we’re $15 a piece when they were new! it’s just disgusting how corporate gaming has became.
stepped away from the actual story and meaning of halo to pursue making more money off of the game . even halo 5 connected to the lore of halo in a sense
Nah I actually think that the campaign was so freakin fun. Loved it.
Actually ima go down with the ship. I never stopped playing all together, its about as good as itll ever be. Time to play
Guys, should i get the MCC? It's on sale rn
No
@@JimmmmmmmmmmmY i sadly did it :(
i caved in to peer pressure from friends
@@Glockuto2 What a moron.
@@Glockuto2did you like it at least?
It's like watching a friend slowly loose every good idea they had from dementia 😢
The amount of people I see get this wrong is embarrassing: everything that enters than leaves the exchange he will be able to be purchased with SP in the armory after it leaves the exchange it says so in game in the news section you jumping silly jelly bean
Its a funny joke but its also fun. Halo infinite is my favorite halo. Im enjoying it while it lasts
The entire reason I haven't touched Infinite in years is because it's sandbox is absolute fucking dogshit compared to every other Halo game.
Bring vetos back nobody wants to play your half assed maps my team starts on infinite but we always go back to MCC at the end
Infinite is the greatest MP shooter ever made ....
Not the greatest. But it's definitely pretty good
I’ll always love Halo:Reach and Halo 3:ODST but that’s it! Those are the only two games that I actually genuinely enjoyed playing outta all the others.
Thank you so much for calling out the hopium and copium creators
Halo died when H2 was taken offline.
We didnt even realize it at the time playing H3. I always wanted to play H2 but H3 was the 'new game'.
I had no idea H2 would be the last god tier game. Crazy, tbh.
4:57 I out-loud wheezed while gasping in real life. These prices are certified Kanye Crazy.
The UI is also awful on Xbox one, sometimes takes up to 30 seconds to change a shader😂
