My mother would sing this every Christmas before we ate dinner. She sang like an angel, even at 90 years old...she passed Oct. 2022, but I still hear her sing every Christmas. I will miss her until we meet again in the glory God. I'm confident whatever choir is in heaven, my Mother is singing with them.
I am saddened that the Swedish man who wrote the words receives no credit. His name was Bobert. He had just finished missionary school and was about to be shipped overseas on his first assignment. He was walking along ths shore in Southern Sweden and a powerful storm overtook him. He stood in the rain and thought "Lord how great Thou art. He rushed to his room and turned that thought into a poem. Within few weeks the words were put to an old local folk tune. An Amercan heard it in the Ukraine where Bobert had been a missionary and translated Bobert's poem almost literally. Via the Billy Graham Crusades, George Beverley Shae made it a popular hit. The young missionary was lost in history. I sang the song at my son's wedding in Sweden even though he snd I are Aussies. I sang the first verse and chorus in English and then in Swedish. In Swedish it is O Store Gud.
I am a "Mormon" actually a member of the Church of Jesus Christ and I love him. I respect those who are also respectful of me and my religion. We are all children of God and we all can feel of his love for us if we seek Him. The spirit is strong with this choir!
This is one of the hymns my young son chose for his funeral, every time I hear it, makes me cry with joy, knowing that my son believes in Christ and that he is dueling with our Savior, this knowledge that someday will be reunited with our loved one, makes the wait glorious!
i am an atheist and this music brings me to tears. this song was played at my mothers request at her funeral. this mormon choir are very talented, thank you for your beautiful music.
Sorry to hear that. I'm assuming that your mother was saved. Therefore, she's in Heaven. I wish that you could come to the saving grace of Jesus Christ & understand God's plan of salvation, so that you can go to Heaven, too, & see your mom again one day. Please seek God so that you can see your mom again. I'm going to pray for you & this situation. I don't know you, but I care. God is real, & I can prove it! Understand that I'm not trying to push anything off on you, I just felt the need to share my feelings & speak my peace. That's all. Thank you for that.

bklufc - Eternity is a long time to be wrong. If you think all the beauty of the universe is simply an accident of “nature” then you have an intellectual conundrum.
If you want to come back, you are welcome. If not, that's fine. Most won't judge you either way. This song sure adds beauty to this world and I'm happy that you can appreciate it
i am glad that the mormon tabernacle choir has done so much to spread the spirit of truth and love throughout the world, so that those whose hearts and minds are open can recieve that light, and that those who stumble around in darkness can be condemned by rejecting that same light...
I am a Christian but not a Mormon but I truly believe that this is the most angelic choir that God has placed on the earth. Plus they come with a world class orchestra.
I am a Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints I hope that everyone is having a strong positive blessed Sunday -And know that Heavenly Father & Our Savior Jesus Christ is always with us , for they will help us through many trials, troubles that we are , have been dealing with , unsure of how to handle them And for Heavenly Father will forgive you of your sins in Our Saviors Name -- In the name of Jesus Christ AMEN...
Thank you for your beautiful testimony often we think that we are the only ones when we’re going through trials. I don’t think there’s been appeared of my life when it’s been more troubling or challenging. Doing the right thing does not always mean having all the things you want, sometimes it means going without to do what’s right. God bless the church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints. I know with all my heart, but mind and strength that is the restored gospel of Jesus Christ upon the Earth. I am so thankful to have found the church. I am so thankful to have found the church.
I think it’s because this version lacked power. I don’t really understand why he had them singing in subdued tones. This message be declared among the nations, much much much more powerful than song here. It was like they were whispering. I mean I really honestly don’t get this interpretation. It just don’t make sense. Especially given the power of the atmosphere, a band and whole choir.
I admire your choir. I wish the best all of you. I am not a mormon, but i am sure God takes care of you, in whatever we believe. Greetings from Poland!
As a Lutheran, I appreciate music/hymns. I don't understand any religion that forbids singing. (You know who you are.) It's the way ordinary folks give God a shout out! And the MTC does it best!
I'm a non denominational Christian, not Mormon but, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir as well as the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir are the best in my opinion and, they usher in the best annointings! Makes me feel like I'm hearing a glimpse of the choirs of Heaven!
I cannot agree more. Fellow Mormon, but this song has me crying in my room haha. And the lyrics are so powerful. Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee. How great thou art. He loves us all, and suffered to provide us a way to come back to live with Him. He’s freed us from the suffering of our sins. My soul truly sings of his Greatness.
I was able to hear one of the choir's conductors speak about his experience once, and it was incredible! He said that the members of this choir are set apart as "musical missionaries", which is why I believe they invite the Spirit so strongly
Six months ago I lose a very good friend. I came across this beautiful music. I use this to help me with grieving process to meditate. I am a catholic but I listen to this beautiful choir. Thank you.
My husband passed recently and i hear him sing this song as he journeys up to heaven in praise of God’s immense glory and finally meets Him …this song puts me at peace as I feel he is too!!!🙏🙏
This choir make my knees weak....when I listen to them, it feels like I'm in Heaven already, one of my biggest wishes before I die is to see the choir singing live.

One of the reasons I subscribe to this channel is that this is how Christian music needs to be sung. With strength, without apology, with pride and confidence in the message and the underlying Truth.
I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Thank Goodness. This is the song I sang at my Mother's Funeral she always made sure I went to Choir when I was growing up. The Church has the fullness of the Gospel. I hope you will check it out. It will make you happy.
My mother passed today in hospice. Our dear friend who is a wonderful singer knew this was my grandmother’s favorite hymn and sang it to her. By the time she had finished singing, my mother had passed. I know that my grandmother was holding my mom’s hand and leading her to heaven.
Corrected voice to text error: That is so beautiful thank you for sharing that that really fills me with strength. God bless the church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints. It is truly the Lords restored gospel upon the earth. I am so eternally thankful that I could find the church at a very young age and join it independent of my family and despite their dissension against me
The LDS church firmly believes in life after earthly death and with that, you will see him again on the other side. A temporary parting. How sweet that thought can be.
The Mormon Tabernacle Choir is my absolute favorite! My 7 month old and I have been listening all night. It's incredible the spirit and love you can feel from such beautiful music and lyrics. Thank you for filling my home with the spirit!
This hymn sang by the Mormon Tabernacle choir was played when leaving the chapel after a funeral service. It was so beautiful it lessened the sadness felt and made me feel like the deceased had actually gone to a better place.
So glad to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! Whenever I'm stressed or my OCD kicks in I play this on the piano and I feel at peace and happy and service-hungry. I'm so grateful God blessed me with that talent!
YO TAMPOCO SOY MORMONA, IGUAL APRECIO MUCHO ESTE CORO. DESDE MIS 7 AÑOS DE EDAD SOY DE LA RELIGION EVANGELICA. DESDE CHILE....BIANCA ANTONELLA DI VANNI DI BIAGGIO.
The Mormon Tabernacle Choir brings back so many fond memories of my childhood growing up in the late 90's and early 2000's. I am Roman Catholic, after morning mass, we would usually have this on on TV while we're preparing Sunday's lunch. Awesome! God bless!
Who could no love this or have the audacity to give it a thumbs down? With my personal knowledge of the Lord, how HE has saved my life 7 times that I know I should have died but not for HIM. These people that blaspheme God and HIS SON and deny HIM are fools. Those that don't know Christ are missing life for all it's worth.
When i hear this song all i can think of is a man called Thor Larson. He meant the world to me and he's the reason i lost my faith in the church. He was one of a kind taken far to soon and i loved him dearly. I always looked forward to this song in church because Thor's incredible voice overpowered everybody else's voice in the church , he sung it with such passion, love he sounded so strong and powerful it was amazing. I feel very honoured that this man was a big part of my life. I miss him so much :( Listening to this song always brings him back alive to me. God bless you Thor xxx
My favorite religious song! Unfortunately, the Catholic Church I attend musical director never wants to sing the old standbys, just these new things nobody likes or sings along with. Plays this, and the entire church sings, and loudly! There’s a reason for that. Can’t beat these beautiful songs, made even more beautiful by this choir.
When the spear of Longinus was plugged into Jesus,s flank , Jesus saw everything in this world . People,s joy and sorrow were all visible . Jesus also saw the appearance of Maria suffering . Soon Jesus,s soul will soak into the hearts of all the people of this world . As long as the human world continues ,I will continue to be effulgent in the heart of people . Jesus is watching the people of this world blessing Jesus,s birth with Maria while smiling
Another great hymn from the Mormons..What a great body of musicians they are Nothing short of "Brilliant " Their Orchestra is fantastic and conducted brilliantly.
Beautiful, as always. Did I ever mention how I just LOVE the diversity my Church has in its Choir & Orchestra alone? Whether ur male, female, tall, short, skinny, chunky, younger, older, middle-aged, Caucasian, Afro-American, Asian-American, ANYONE within the Church can join, just like ANYONE from ANY faith is welcome to our Sunday services! I love how we stick strongly to that old principle "love one another" enough that we never shun a soul & are ALWAYS willing to help out whenever a disaster strikes! I'm glad to know that I can visit any LDS congregation & feel just as welcomed as I am in my home congregation!
Take a look at the wide-angle view of the orchestra at the beginning of the video. As far as I can tell, there's not a single person of color in the choir. So much for the "diversity" you touted in your comment.
frisco21 look closer. also look up Alex Boyia. who is black and english. he also has a you tube channel. He was part of the choir for years and a soloist.
your view is limited, these people have time committed to the choir, and love to sing praises to the Lord. Maybe you can ask some of your colored friends to try out to satisfy your desire for the choir.
I am not Mormon but Catholic. I believe all are loved and will be welcomed into the Kingdom. We only enter through different paths. The Mormons show a great talent and display a pathway to the Kingdom. God bless.
I was listening to some other old religious songs, "Going Home", "Down in the River to Pray", etc., getting all wistful remembering those who are no longer here, Mom and Dad, uncles and aunts, a brother, many close and dear friends, when this video popped up. My father was not a particularly religious man, although he said several times that "Someone upstairs was looking out for him" (he had been a Naval Aviator from 1940 -1964 and had many close calls). "How Great Thou Art" was my father's favorite religious song. He used to sing it while walking around the house. Kinda coincidental that his favorite song should just pop up randomly like that. Can't help but wonder if he's talking to me. Miss you too, Dad.
"And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart." I just lose it at that part because I know that I will return to Him and I will be so happy. This song strengthens my testimony and my faith that He will come. And how beautiful it will be. I also love the orchestra so much and how it just adds to the beautiful choir. This song is just perfect.
"And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart," I will never fear death after hearing those words, you have found the essence of this song and of faith,,,God bless you for this revelation
How blessed we are to have the church of jesus christ of latter day saints. 💕 May our Heavenly Father provide a way for those who doesn't know about the church of jesus christ of latter day saints. Help them find a way to have this wonderful gospel in their lives as well.
When I heard this hymn for the first time I felt the power and the truthfulness of this loved gospel what a joy ,when I was baptized the missionaries sang this hymn and I felt the love of my lovely Heavenly Father; For that reason I know that Jesus is alive and God is good all the time !
I heard Elvis Presley sing this wonderfull song and it realy had an impact on me. He put the power and emotion into it which I now hear from this amazing choir. I have heard several people attempt to do this amazing piece of music justice over the last 30 years and only you and Elvis have moved me to tears.
I am definately a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormon). I love listening to this choir. The Lord is great and he will return.
I am definitely not a Mormon and I have some very strong differences with Mormon beliefs but I have subscribed to this channel because most of the music on this channel is superb.
Julia Allen I don't understand how you don't believe in a plethora of gods when you believe that it is possible for all people to become a god when they die if they make it to the Celestial Kingdom. Can you please explain this?
okay, so the answer to this question is a little bit complicated and I'm not sure that I am the most qualified person to answer this. I'm going to try anyway but it is probably best for you to go to lds.org and look for answers there. Here it goes. The simple answer is that we do believe in a plethora of gods but we only worship one, that being our heavenly father. Of course that answer probably brings up more questions. The way I see it is as an extension of the old testament commandment to honor thy father and thy mother. God is out Heavenly Father so we honor him. You wouldn't interpret the command "honor thy father and thy mother" as a command to go down the street and start honoring the mother and father of your best friend, you would honor your own parents. We do believe that it is possible for people to become like our heavenly Father but that doesn't mean that we worship them. Besides, we don't believe that anyone from this earth has yet become like our Heavenly Father, except for Christ of course. Once again I am not sure I am entirely qualified to answer this question with 100% accuracy. As I said it is rather complicated. Please go to the official church website for a better answer. Good luck.
Great question, AveMaria82100! :) The difference boils down to our understanding of our relationship to God: He is our Father, literally the Father of our spirit essence or intelligence. As a perfected Person, His every influence on us is calculated to help us fill the full measure of our potential as His spirit children. This is how we become "joint-heirs with Christ," as Paul put it (Romans 8:16-17). Just as Jesus filled the full measure of His potential by teaching, guiding, and enabling others to develop properly in our heavenly development (John 5:30, John 15:10), those who press forward with faith and diligence become more and more Christlike, and as eternal beings ourselves, eventually we can fill this promised potential--if and only if we continue to learn and grow, to adjust, align, and refine our desires and influence to become one with Christ and our Father (the intention Jesus described in His Intercessory Prayer [John 17:10-11]). Because we through our imperfect faith, desires, and actions all become estranged from our Father in Heaven, we require a Mediator, an Atoning One, a Savior to pay and fully satisfy the price of Eternal Justice for us to return clean and ready to Father's presence. Jesus Christ is the Chosen One who willingly sacrificed Himself to fill this gap, and as a result, the Son of God has become our adoptive Father, who has ransomed us to God our Father, and is therefore entirely worthy of the title and adoration of God, as a fully developed, perfected, and enabling Eternal Protector, Guide, and Heir to a heavenly throne right next to our Heavenly Father's (hence Peter's reverence to two thrones, not one, with Jesus sitting at the right hand of His Father [1 Peter 3:22], as well as Paul [Colossians 3:1], and Hebrews 12:2). Otherwise, what God do we acknowledge or worship? None--just as we only acknowledge and honor one father of our body here in mortality, and hold close siblings in a special reverence beyond others more distantly connected, but not equal to the honor owed to our honorable parents. We have no temples, no shrines, no prayers or other modes of worship rites offered to *any* other people than Heavenly Father--without whom none of us would exist, just as our physical body would not exist without a paternal progenitor--Jesus Christ--without whom none of us would be able to return safe and prepared to embrace Father--and the Holy Ghost--the divine Messenger and our personal Tutor who acts as our Guide in all truth, wisdom, love, and godliness (John 14:26, Galatians 5:22-23). All other people exalted by unyielding alignment and development with Heavenly Father through Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost get far more amazing opportunities to help in Their creative and managerial efforts in Heaven (only a few manifestations of which we can see even now in the vast display of creative power that fills the cosmos). Further details about these opportunities are reserved until we prepare ourselves to receive them, exactly according to the principle Jesus taught His faithful disciples versus the bypassing multitudes in Matthew 13:11-13.
AveMaria82100 Wow, comment was made a long time ago. not sure if u are even still wondering that? If you are still wondering or simply curious as to a response as im sure any answers wont change your opinions, only personal testimony will by the Spirit of course. But can i just say, when it a plan, its The Plan. Its a goal which is what hope is, you cannot have hope without a goal or ending result in sight. why limit yourself to "good" when Christ and actual Perfection is the goal? If perfect, then would you not be "like" (not god, but like him) God? Having the same judgement and understanding of all things? This is the goal, and Faith (action) is how we get there, through repentance of failures/mistakes (sins) and covenants (promises to keep going toward the goal) and the guidance of the Holy Spirit (divine inspirations and righteous judgement etc). This is what we call the Gospel of Christ, or the Doctrine of Christ. :) We but worship one God the Father of all, and his Son Jesus Christ the Redeemer of the fallen, and the Holy Ghost, known to us as the Godhead. Achieving the celestial Kingdom is living with our Father in Heaven, and in such will be in the presence of his glory, and to do so must follow his statutes and his laws, living the same life. otherwise we could not do so as "no 'man' (meaning someone of the flesh) can behold the face (presence and glory) of God and live." Therefore, we being children of God, have his potential, and therefore inherit his traits thru Christ who made the path strait and supplies grace thru the atonement in order to Truely reach perfection. We believe it is an eternal process, and the results of even a slight increase is glorious and joyful! Resulting in the "Plan of Happiness", and us becoming 'as' Gods. And maybe yes we may behold our own worlds if someday in the eternal future we can attain that level of perfection. Being we understand all, and it falls in our purpose to find joy in doing such. I dont know exactly what its like up there after perfection, because as far as i know only 1 has obtained that level. Christ. So right now, our goal is Him. Hope this makes sense! sorry its so long. (im young so please dont judge me too harshly on my attempt to explain ok? thanks!) :)
AveMaria82100 😇It is my belief that Jesus Christ was not preaching false doctrine when He said, "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father in Heaven is perfect." I believe He was telling us to become just like Him. Who can deny that admonition! I also recommend anyone who considers Him to be their' Father in Heaven', to contemplate the meaning of the English word "therefore" as used by Christ in The Sermon on the Mount, and its inference there that all and every virtue preceeding the word, therefore, are attributes of our Perfect God.
Magnificent singing. Let us pray for blessings and protection for our soldiers and leaders of our nation that they hear God”s call and may act and speak as God asks us all to
I am a Christian, a lover of beautiful music, and an admirer of anyone, anywhere without alcohol or drugs destroying their culture. What strong believers and lovers of God, our Savior. A spectacular temple in a wonderful city. A true paradise for a Christian, but you will be asked to join the faith. Amen.
My mother would sing this every Christmas before we ate dinner. She sang like an angel, even at 90 years old...she passed Oct. 2022, but I still hear her sing every Christmas. THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS IMPORTANT HISTORY OF THIS WELL-LOVED HYMN
I am not a Morman, but this is beautiful singing. I enjoy it immensely. Thank you my fellow Christians.
I am not a Mormon either but I have bought many of their CDS. Talent is talent and the Tabernacle Choir is very blessed and talented.

I do not care what church they are with, they have a GREAT choir.
And the gospel is wonderful too!! It can have such a magnificent impact on our own life, giving values, stability and direction.

The Multiverse doesn't get the atheist out of the first cause problem.
you deny the existence of a creative because you want to

I am a Roman Catholic, but I think you guys are the best North America chore singers. I guess the Lord has something to do with this.
Yes he does. And with you too!
He does indeed.
We really do try to be and do good in this world 😁
Now I am curious about who is singing in South America
Your words touched my soul. Thanks for commenting.
I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and I love listening to the music produced by this incredible choir.

I am a Mormon, but I agree!! So good!!

Oh yes they do! 🌹
This was the first hymn I sang in church when I came back to church after 6 years of being inactive.
I am a member of The Mormon church and love everything about them. this music brings wonderful peace to my soul.....
This is how I imagine Heaven to sound.
By their fruits ye shall know them. HE said it Himself.
The fruit that teaches Family is Forever in heaven.
You are absolutely correct this is indeed how heaven will sound
I am a witness of Christ and I must admit you are one of the best religious singing groups I have ever heard
Six months ago I lose a very good friend. I came across this beautiful music. I use this to help me with grieving process to meditate. I am a catholic but I listen to this beautiful choir. Thank you.

Same here I love them with all my heart and soul I get so much peace listening to them.
You can see them live attend one of our General Conference which is held in Salt Lake City every year they sing there.
I’m from Brazil not a Mormon but I’ve been there to hear them live, and man it is special
You don't have to be a Mormon to enjoy this choir, which is the best choir in the world.

How grateful we are to God for His goodness and kindness to all his beloved people
This wonderful choir has helped me to maintain a positive attitude during these difficult times. God Bless them all ♥️♥️♥️
One of the reasons I subscribe to this channel is that this is how Christian music needs to be sung.
All generations shall call me blessed, for He who is mighty, has done great things for me, and Holy is His name.
God cause you come in many different good forms let me thank you for you and your very special way in my life you are so good to me thank you ❤️
Just beautiful..I'm not Mormon but always loved the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Love to all my brethren in Christ.
+Diana Lindsey Bless you, Diana! Thank you for your kind words!
U r welcome! See you in Heaven!
Its hard to find someone who’s not mormon and isnt criticizing you in the comments. Thank you.
Diana Lindsey Amen!
Surly one of the best choirs in all the world
I am so grateful to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints . Listening to The Tabernacle Choir is a Sunday morning staple.
I am a Christian and I believe in The holy Ghost and Jesus and God. Blessed art thou peacemakers who shalt be named the Children of God.
My mother passed today in hospice. Our dear friend who is a wonderful singer knew this was my grandmother’s favorite hymn and sang it to her. By the time she had finished singing, my mother had passed. I know that my grandmother was holding my mom’s hand and leading her to heaven.
I am so sorry for your loss and so happy for your Mother's glorious final moments. ❤
Corrected voice to text error: That is so beautiful thank you for sharing that that really fills me with strength. God bless the church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints. It is truly the Lords restored gospel upon the earth. I am so eternally thankful that I could find the church at a very young age and join it independent of my family and despite their dissension against me
My Dads favorite song. He went to heaven 33 years ago.
My dad"s favorite too. He went to Heaven in 2001.
this is also my dad's favorite hymn.. :)
The LDS church firmly believes in life after earthly death and with that, you will see him again on the other side. A temporary parting. How sweet that thought can be.
Vick Mcfadden your dad is not in heaven but asleep in the grave waiting on the day of resurrection. John 5:28-29
ARE YOU SURE ABOUT THAT?!?!?!
I'm really touched by your songs. I'm not a Mormon but I love listening to hymns and this makes me like your songs. Great there!!
I am not Mormon either, but man it doesn't get better than this!
it does.... listen to "home free" version
I'm not a Mormon, but I have loved the Mormon tabernacle choir over all choirs, its the best!! How moving.
This hymn was sung at my son's funeral. Thank you for posting this beautiful song.
I love this church and the wonderful music really brings the Spirit.
Non-LDS here (mainline Protestant). This beautiful, heartfelt performance certainly resonates with me. Thank you, MTC!
Thank you so much!
Nobody cares whether you’re mormon or not. It’s music. It’s sounds. Just listen to the noise.
Thanks a lot for the sharing of Hymns that come from angels !
Praise be to our God, the Lord !
I am not a Mormon but I am very appreciative of this choir.
We are all children of God, and can respond to his love for us through music.
YO TAMPOCO SOY MORMONA, IGUAL APRECIO MUCHO ESTE CORO. DESDE MIS 7 AÑOS DE EDAD SOY DE LA RELIGION EVANGELICA. DESDE CHILE....BIANCA ANTONELLA DI VANNI DI BIAGGIO.
My favourite Hymn.......I want it played at My funeral...........but not yet for a while. !!
Raised Catholic, devout agnostic athiest, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir is amazing
The Mormon Tabernacle Choir brings back so many fond memories of my childhood growing up in the late 90's and early 2000's. I am Roman Catholic, after morning mass, we would usually have this on on TV while we're preparing Sunday's lunch. Awesome! God bless!
I can't wait to join the heaven choir to sing and praise LORD GOD AlMIGHTY.
HOW COULD PEOPLE TUMB DOWN THE CHOIR , thats is so sad open your heart! Jesus loves you!
I’m one of the few members of the church commenting on this video! It is good to see people of all faiths enjoying the work of the choir.
God bless!
always a delight to listen to The Tabernacle Choir
I'd imagine this is how the choirs in heaven sound like.
Why would there be choirs in heaven? I am sure God and Jesus Christ are watching and listening on their celestial channel.
Mike Landrau The Angels sing.
No, this is how the choirs on earth sound
You got that right!
I have had the same thought too :)
Sanctify this place with Thy word O Lord and we will give You praise and honour.
When the spear of Longinus was plugged into Jesus,s flank ,
Jesus saw everything in this world .
People,s joy and sorrow were all visible .
Jesus also saw the appearance of Maria suffering .
Soon Jesus,s soul will soak into the hearts of all the people of this world .
As long as the human world continues ,I will continue to be effulgent in the heart of people .
Jesus is watching the people of this world blessing Jesus,s birth
with Maria while smiling
My uncle loved this hymn, as did many in my extended family. They are now numbered among "the friends that are waiting".
I am an atheist, and I love and sing along to this song :)
Bro that is respect. I'm a latter day saint and I appreciate your comment!
That comment just made my day.
I'm a latter day saint and I glad this makes you feel this way
There is room in Christ's church for those of wavering faith. Check out this video on the very topic:

Maybe your not really an atheist? Peace to you. ☺️
Thank you for all: the united voices, the beauty of nature, the beauty of earth and humanity in Harmonie!
Another great hymn from the Mormons..What a great body of musicians they are
Nothing short of "Brilliant " Their Orchestra is fantastic and conducted brilliantly.
When Christ shall come, with shout of acclamation, and take me home.... what joy shall fill my heart.....
I'm so homesick......
one of my favorite hymns of all time!
Most beautiful hymn!! Just love it to our God Almighty all praise and worship!!! Thank-you Lord Jesus!!
Love one another!
I am not Mormon but Catholic. I believe all are loved and will be welcomed into the Kingdom. We only enter through different paths. The Mormons show a great talent and display a pathway to the Kingdom. God bless.
I am Mormon... I love this hymn. 😊
Stay in the faith!😊
How blessed we are to have the church of jesus christ of latter day saints. 💕 May our Heavenly Father provide a way for those who doesn't know about the church of jesus christ of latter day saints. Help them find a way to have this wonderful gospel in their lives as well.
WOW!!! WOW!!! TREMENDOUS BEAUTIFULLY SUNG!!!
THANK'S!! TO THE MORMAN TABERNACLE CHOIR
When I heard this hymn for the first time I felt the power and the truthfulness of this loved gospel what a joy ,when I was baptized the missionaries sang this hymn and I felt the love of my lovely Heavenly Father; For that reason I know that Jesus is alive and God is good all the time !
My soul bows down in deep love and respect for the Savior and our Great Father in Heaven
I listen to one and then another one...Mormon Tabernacle Choir is so beautiful. Thank you for sharing this wonderful music. It warms my soul.
I heard Elvis Presley sing this wonderfull song and it realy had an impact on me. He put the power and emotion into it which I now hear from this amazing choir. I have heard several people attempt to do this amazing piece of music justice over the last 30 years and only you and Elvis have moved me to tears.
I miss Elias too.
My mom liked Elvis Presley mainly due to the fact that he sang this song as she was never a fan of rock music
While listening, I feel at peace with the Lord Jesus
I am definately a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormon). I love listening to this choir. The Lord is great and he will return.
Whatever else Mormans do, they get music, they truly get it. When I need to feed my soul, this is where I come. Texas
I love tabernacle choir for its amazing and melodious songs of praises that always brings healing and deliverance unto my soul.
The difference boils down to our understanding of our relationship to God: He is our Father, literally the Father of our spirit essence or intelligence.
We but worship one God the Father of all, and his Son Jesus Christ the Redeemer of the fallen, and the Holy Ghost, known to us as the Godhead.
(im young so please dont judge me too harshly on my attempt to explain ok? thanks!) :)
AveMaria82100 😇It is my belief that Jesus Christ was not preaching false doctrine when He said, "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father in Heaven is perfect."
I believe He was telling us to become just like Him.
The most beautiful hymn ever sung. Truly inspired by God. Thank you for helping me through my darkest nights.
I know with out a doubt! The Tabernacle choir is God's. Choir here on earth!
My family favorite song done by one of worlds greatest choirs!Thank you!
The redeemed people from the earth sang a new song. Praise to the Lord of lords and King of kings.!
Music is superb and none better than The Mormon Tabernacle Choir to enrich us with their talents .
Magnificent singing. Let us pray for blessings and protection for our soldiers and leaders of our nation that they hear God”s call and may act and speak as God asks us all to
I can testify that book of Mormon is a true testament of Jesus Christ
Jeremy Pearce u
Me too
I am an LDS and this music edifies me all the time.
Listening in 2024 still feels newly composed song ❤❤❤
I LOVE the Mormon Tabernacle Choir!!!!
This was my Father's favorite song, we all sang this song at his Funeral
A wonderful choir - outstanding - and a gift to all of us.
Cuando leo, cuando quiero olvidarme por un momento del mundo recurro a la música. :)
Amen.
