      I love that line as well as George's, "I'd be quite prepared for that eventuality."

    The Aclam is pretty cool Pedal. I built myself one a while back, as well as their Dr. Robert. Both are pretty different than anything else in that realm and they definitely both nail those particular beatles sounds.
    And what those guys did in that AI demo with the Beatles showing off the pedals is hilarious, and genius

      Though the artwork on the Dr. Roberts almost had me go that way, I bought the Mocker along with the Rush Pepbox. I'm still not completely sure what the difference is between the Mocker and the Dr. Roberts is though since they are both based on the same amp. I figured going for the Vox UL730 and the Rush Pepbox gives me a lot of options to play with.

    Yes, the angry fuzz from Revolution was John plugging his Epiphone Casino directly into a desk channel, maybe with some slight compression on it, but that’s it. (P-90s + fuzz = massive.)

      That's the Doctor Roberts pedal, from Aclam as well.

      So what's the difference? I got the Mocker on Josh's recommendation of it being his favorite pedal that they made and the trouble that Aclam went through to get the correct amp components to duplicate the Vox UL730 that they didn't do with the Dr. Roberts replication of the same Vox UL730, even though that pedal had the better art. I figured the sound over the looks. However the only thing I can figure is the native distortion of that particular amp vs whatever distortion/fuzz that they used for the Roberts, with the Revolver like album art by Klaus Voorman. (I personally prefer Revolver over Pepper, but that's just me)

    Sounds good! Console sound. That’s interesting if it was recorded by a label they went to the console and if a single transistor can color the sound what do hundreds of them in a console do. Nothing? I don’t think so. Thank you!

    It's like a Bit Crusher: you don't buy it because it'll actually serve any purpose. You bought it because you already own every pedal of use, but your pathological GAS requires that you have to get a new pedal, ANY pedal every 6-8 weeks, lest your affliction attacks your body, leaving you looking like the dying alien that was sleeping in it's pod hidden in the deep end of a retirement home swimming pool in "Cocoon."
    It reminds me of my old Evo 3D smartphone. It's defining feature beyond being one of the earliest 4G phones was that it could take 3D photos. For the first week or so I'd show I'd demonstrate it for someone. After that second week however, I literally never used it again.

    What pedal is used on bass in this video? Is it the Mocker as well, or what pedal is it? Sounds cool!

      i don't remember exactly, but it's probably an overdrive or something from Aguilar!

    It makes your amp sound like a nasal, solid state amp.

    @jhspedals perhaps dumb question, but how does it compare and sit with and/or against Crayon or the Aclam Dr. Robert. I have both of those, just not The Mocker. Was curious about it since release.

    Aclam pedal boards are the best if you don't do the velcro thing

    What are the holes on the top and side for?

    • @aclamguitars
      @aclamguitars Месяц назад +1

      The holes are part of our proprietary locking system inspired by the Smart Track fasteners but integrated into the enclosure to save space. However, we also include a Velcro pad with the pedal for compatibility with any pedalboard :)

    Sounds nothing like anything close to the Beatles or Sargent Peppers. Sounds like a distortion into multiple long delays. Not a fucking Beatle sound. Christ. WRONG.

      I get your point. Josh, upon saying it's an inspired replication of a band's classic sound, immediately plays something that sounds nothing like the band that inspired it. I suppose you've gotta just go with the idea that his muse heard the sound it made and led him in a decidedly different direction, instead of showcasing how the pedal can do what he, again, just said it could. Go figure.

    What is up with the enclosure?

    • @aclamguitars
      @aclamguitars Месяц назад +1

      Our enclosure features a custom locking system that secures the pedal without the need for hook and loop fasteners. This design saves space and follows the Smart Track philosophy. However, we also include a Velcro pad with the pedal for compatibility with any pedalboard. :)

      @@aclamguitars Yep, my Mocker came with a pull string bag, a Mocker pin and sticker, an Aclam sticker, a product insert and catalog with the Velcro stuff and the envelope that the secret sauce (new old stock)part that they traveled here to the UK to procure came in. Very nice! 🙂
