Hey man I’m from South Africa I started with a rusty mild steel home made rod I used for 2 months of my starting career and then moved to stainless steel I make my own tools to date. in South Africa it’s not that easy to find good pdr tools . You inspire me big time
Lol you can appreciate the experience, but at a point in your life..... fuck it, you’ve earned it. Be spoiled, you worked for it lol. That’s how I see it anyway.
@@RealWorldPDRTraining i remember the first 10 jobs using a cheap China pdr slide hammer and some random keco tabs. You really have to think outside the box to finish repairs. Now.. that i have a decent arsenal of tools.. and a few good slide hammers and a mobile pulling post.. everything is much easier and I really wonder how I actually made money with what little I started with. I find myself taking on the impossible with a more "hybrid" type of repair and pulling 90% or more then correcting paint. Been doing bodywork for many years before pdr and 1 thing I always noticed is that the paint guy got all the credit.. 😆.. so i thought I'd teach myself.. but do finding myself doing way more bodywork than paint.. i actually enjoy it!
Hahaha it’s awesome, I like other old school guys. We are all starting to talk like old grumpy asses....psssshhh back in my day we didn’t need these fancy ass tools to fix dents...... we did it with perseverance and the willingness to damage our bodies permanently!!!! Kids will never understand.
Any chance of doing some repairs with some tools that us newbies can only just afford, like ultra dents tools rather than these fancy stanliners all the time. Im a guy wanting to learn and get my foot on the ladder but cannot afford the or even know how to use the stanliner range. I used to do the pay monthly course and watch all you videos over and over but now I’m lost hearing about stanliner. Don’t get me wrong, I’d love a few of them tools but realistically I’m just trying to find confidence and not fuck up peoples cars. Also any chance of a video doing a rear arch through the body line dent? Tbh I would love to be half as good as you just now. I love PDR but I struggle. Sorry if I sound like a complete dick. Thankyou
The only reason it’s dickish, is even in the site I generally give a different tool or 12 you could use, and even in this video I made it abundantly clear that the tool makes very little difference to skill set..... start watching at 11:30.... So I feel your pain and I’m way ahead of it. So what sounds dickish isn’t dickish at all if you still think I’m not serving you as a customer well. That’s just constructive criticism.
Real World PDR Training thanks for your reply. I have learned a lot from RW PDR and have really got into blending. Maybe it’s time I go back in and re watch your tutorials. Thankyou
Of course I’d say this, but I’d highly recommend it. Do what’s right for you, and remember especially after Monday when you’ll have a member only way of reaching me, you can always make requests for the site. I’ll make sure it works for you.
Loved the video.. But on a totally separate note.. . not corona related, not all dolphins are as friendly as people make out! Went swimming with them earlier in the year... Beatch still hasn't called me back 😒.. Just saying!
